A wonderful place to visit during a hot weekend with visits being free on Saturdays and Sundays from 3 pm. The area surrounding the museum is gorgeous and the museum itself is quite interesting. It's not really big, it took around 30-45 minutes to check all the exhibits without rushing. A nature lover would definitely enjoy their visit here, I recommend it.

This is a museum in a beautiful park. Not quite big, but kids really enjoy and have fun here.

Very nice and charming. It is small but the entry is two euro, so it's perfectly reasonable price for size. Even though they don't have any *one massive complete natural dinosaur skeleton* they still do a good job of not disappointing in the dinosaur department, at least for those impressed by the sheer scale and size of some dinosaur bones compared to others. It is also very educational and (once you get a hang of the system) well labeled, although knowing Spanish or Valencian gives you a much more complete understanding than English alone. Basic signage is in English, in depth signage is in Spanish or Valencian. I didn't ask about English flyers or audio guides since I speak 2/3 and read 3/3 of those languages so I was personally fine without. Think of the museum as a kind of personal collection turned museum by a paleontologist who spent a lot of time in south America and combined what he found there with what was found in Valencia. Since that's basically what it is, and it is openly recognized on one of the walls of the museum. For 2€, if you're a fan of paleontology, anthropology, history, bones, animals, big cats (there's a saber tooth, come on 👀), mythology (yes they explain some mythological concepts through bones), or anything else like it, it's worth a visit.

Fantastic little museum in the park. Only two euros to enter and well worth a visit. It only takes about an hour to see everything but the exhibitions are carefully chosen and the exhibits of very high quality. If you like dinosaurs you'll love the place; it's informative and fun to explore with excellent supporting information.

Small but nice museum. Every bigger exhibition has description in English, which is a very nice touch. Free on weekends, small price during the week, I think it was 2€. Located basically in a park.

Entrance €2 for general visiter and €1 for students. The receptionist is very friendly. It’s not a huge museum but still has a bunch of interesting display. I would appreciate if they offer English explications so as to help me understand more.

We paid and had discount with carnet Jove, honestly this museum is neglected and needs a renovation, small and it is not worth paying while other museums in valencia are free. Few people were in the museum as the years has worn out this place.

Nice but it's not that much attractive. Mostly exhibits laying down with descriptions and most of it in Spanish only so it makes it difficult to understand for foreigners.

Living near London you expect grandness from a Natural History Museum... Grandiose it is not! €2 per adult entry. It was, however, a lovely little museum with some excellent fossils, a fabulous shell collection (although you can't necessarily see all of them well) and some crystals/minerals (which may be a temporary installation). We took our 3.5 year old - I'm not sure it held his attention particularly well which impacted our ability to digest what we were seeing and names and descriptions are not consistently given in English so you aren't always entirely sure what you are looking at. Opposite the entrance is a snack shack so food and drink available but not within the actual museum.

This place is, by comparison to other museums, quite small. What it lacks in size is more than made up for by the displays. They are well laid out, plenty of information to accompany the display (it does help if you understand a little Spanish, there are English translation too). The Botet display is very good with excellently presented fossils. There is a fascinating display on bees and their importance in food production. The building is well laid out and comfortable atmosphere. I highly recommend a visit. For €2 per person, the price of a coffee, you cannot go wrong.

It is very nice to have a museum like this in Valencia. I have to mention that it is an excellent educational place, especially for children. Entry to the museum is free. It contains quite a lot of objects and exhibits. Fossils, reproductions of dinosaurs, incredible minerals, so on. to various animal species and traditions. Highly recommended for both adults and children.

A small but good museum, especially useful for teaching children about the natural history and refreshing memories of adults

Got free entrance with the Valencia card. Went there on a late Sunday morning trying to hide from the heat, and there was no queue. I wasn't bothered that the museum was small, but because there were no English translations and it was pretty dull walking around without any guidance. This would be a pretty low effort improvement that would make the museum feel more engaging.

One of the places that one should visit in Valencia. Not only for science lovers but also for curious people. It has a variety of valuable remnants that are taken from diffrent places in the world.

Fantastic and educational museum with many spectacular fossils of dinosaurs and other extinct species, especially South American megafauna. Also, many other nature-related pieces. Sometimes temporary exhibitions of great interest, like the amazing collection of minerals we may have enjoyed these last years. Any nature lover, dinosaur nerd, and most children will enjoy them so much. Located in the middle of the 'Viveros' gardens (="Jardines de Viveros" = "Jardines del Real"), it's a no so long visit you may include in a walk through these nice gardens. Close to the important 'Saint Pius V', an outstanding, amazing museum of classical art.

Free entrance - great for kids. Nice park around to walk with a small restaurant to get something to drink or eat.

A nice and small museum. But half of the exibitions are just in Spanish.

Fun and free. You need to speak a bit of Spanish to read all the information. Also a bit small. But as I said, free and lots of fun

The museum is very small, but full of great artefacts and very affordable at €2 per adult. The location is beautiful and has a great coffee shop outside in the park. The surrounding park is very beautiful and is great for kids to run around in.

We went on a Saturday after 3pm when it is free to enter. It’s not very big so I’m glad we didn’t pay the 4€/person, because I don’t think it’s worth it. Interesting collections and good information, although I could not enjoy it thoroughly because of my toddler who wanted to keep walking. Definitely worth a visit during the free entry period though. Plus it’s located in a beautiful area.

For the price of 2 euro was more than acceptable, probably I'll not come for a second round but still worth a visit.

For 2 Euro entry you actually get a lot to see. If you have some time to kill then this museum is worth it 😀

Museum feels like a hidden gem which requires more advertising. Was in several Natural science museums in Europe, and this one feels really cosy, has a decent collection of exibits in one place and can be seen in about an hour. Ticket prices are only 2€ for adults, and children under 12 years have free entry.

Even with almost no English explanations this is worth a visit. Not large, but an interesting range of exhibits. 2 euro entry. Scads of noisy kids.

Perfect for children, dinosaur fans. Entry is 2€ for adults, kids go free. Accessible toilets.

It is a great place! There is so much to see and learn, I spent a great part of my afternoon there and I think it was totally worth it. Es un maravilloso museo, hay tantas cosas por ver y que aprendes en una sola visita, super recomendado, no hay duda.

So interesting to know about the different types of marine and land types of living creatures in Valencia! I’m honestly surprised at how much you could learn from a small visit. My favorite part of the museum was the mineral section where they showcased a huge variety of them and their uses.

Everything as expected except that the dinosaur exhibitions were not available, if that’s one of the things you mainly want to see keep that in mind

A natural history museum within a beautiful park. An excellent location to enjoy nature and to visit with children. After 3 p.m., entry is free.

If you like Dino crops and fossils you will love this place. The exibithion is well organised and attractive. With the surranding, beautiful garden you can feel yourself at Jurassic Word.

Completed the small exhibition in less than 30 minutes, so its great for young children who may be engaged longer. The natural gems and crystals were my favorite part.

  • 4/5 CsabaJ 2 years ago on Google
Small museum, not a lot of things to see, had max. 5% of what the NHM in London has. Non the less, I could appreciate they had prehistoric exhibits, plus the entrance was free.
