Pakse International Airport is one of the few international airports in Laos. Pakse is the former southern capital city of the Champasak Kingdom. The airport has been in use since 1959 and re-opened after renovations in 2009. A new control tower next to the terminal replaced a short one to provide ATC at the airport. The terminal is designed to mimic the Lan Xang-style architecture used for Buddhist temples in Laos.

A small airport, easy to check in and does not take time to go through the immigration and other checks. Aside from there is nothing else to see or eat. But of course it is convenient.

Small airport. On arrival visa procedure was fast and smooth, but immigration took long time even we were lees than 40 people.

This is a small airport, which offers domestic and basic international flights, mostly using Turboprop Lao aircrafts. Nice people and comfortable surroundings, the staff seeing us through seemed like they new the jobs, couldn't really ask for more from the size of the Airport. Quick hint: There is a reasonable restaurant upstairs in baggage dropoff area which does Western and eastern food, don't rely on much once you've crossed immigration and security.

Beautiful, little airport. Visa on arrival took only 30 Minutes (one passport pic, between 30-40 USD depending on your country of origin), Taxi to the city 10 USD /60k Kip! ATM just outside, sim card better bought at pakse market! If you are departing, keep in mind the security check is very fussy! They took our first aid scissors which was ok for basically all major air ports in South East Asia, but not Pakse🤣

Small airport for a small city which is pretty convenient. Seems now they are operating the transit from Vientiane to Ho chi Minh and Pnohmpen.
