Very rude staff. Had a pre-paid reservation for 2 nights through expedia. Checked in early and the receptionist refused to even give me water that she was going to put in my room anyways. She bluntly asked me to go buy it in the market. On top of that they took a 13% commission on scooter rental from a shop nearby. The rental shop is on tripadvisor and I could have visited it myself had they told me about the commission. I assumed that like the rest of hotels they would do it as a service for customers but I guess greed knows no limits.

Dangerous leaking water near electricals! Unfortunately this was not a great experience. The hotel is in an excellent location but you might be better off staying at one of the hostels across the road (they also offer much more reasonably priced tours). We had a few issues but the main one was that the air-conditioning leaked pretty heavily onto the luggage rack, fridge and electric sockets. We told the front desk about it twice (they were very nice) but nothing seems to be done about it as it continued throughout our stay. We had to place the bath mat and glasses beneath it to stop it leaking into the fridge and our bags. The roof bar is wonderful for sunset. They advertise a happy hour every day but some days it doesn't apply and they didn't tell us this until we paid the bill and were rude when we questioned this. Overall not a pleasant stay and I couldn't recommend it.

For a three star hotel, it's a pretty good deal. We paid ~525K a night for their basic room and even though it didn't have a window, it was still comfortable and clean. Plus, the shower always had hot water. The wifi was also very good and we never had any issues. The staff were always willing to help and were pleasant. They also lent me a hairdryer, as there wasn't one in the room. The breakfast buffet had a decently wide selection, including but not limited to fresh fruit, baked goods, juice, and an egg station. Lastly, the location is prime. Very walkable and easy to get around. My husband and I stayed for over a week and really enjoyed our stay here!

Review for sunset drinks from the rooftop bar. Go for happy hour from 17:00 to 18:00 for 20% off selected drinks (including BeerLao). Still expensive but a tremendous sunset over Pakse and the Mekong and a must do at least once during your stay.

Wonderful hotel. Charming old style decor throughout. Excellent service. Rooms are kept clean and they restock your fridge with snacks and drinks. Free breakfast in the morning. The restaurant on the roof is awesome, with great views of the city and surrounding mountains.

The hotel is nice and the aircon is great. Shower goes hot and cold for no reason and need maintenance! We also ate on the top floor, level 7, but the food isnt up to the mark for what you pay. Breakfast choices were very average as some stuff was stale. So stay here and eat at other places

My FAVORITE STAY every time I'm going to Pakse. Fabulous bar & restaurant in roof top with beautiful panoramic view of Pakse. 🤗🥂🙏 The only deception is the service concerning the breakfast...far more than to be in conformity with the standard of the hotel....slow (very slow) and low service, poor quality and diversity of food😩. So this hotel is more than perfect for a memorable dinner on rooftop, rooms are comfortable....but it would be better to skip the breakfast

Very conveniently located hotel. We had one of the room without window to the outside, but we didn't really mind. The room was clean and large with lots of storage. The rooftop is amazing to catch the sunset. You have a wide menu of Occidental and Lao dishes, and a surprisingly good list of imported beers ! Breakfast offered a good choice. The hotel offers tours to the Bolaven Plateau but they are very expensive (50-70$). We just crossed the street and went to book a tour with the Sagan Hotel for only 150000kip and made new friends there.

Very central and clean hotel.I stayed in an economy room that I booked on the spot, resulting on a much cheaper price than on Booking. The room itself was pretty standard, with a window on the corridor but a screen in front of it for some privacy. The breakfast buffet is a great value for money, tasty and with plenty of options. If you want a hotel atmosphere for an affordable price I'd recommend staying here. Definitely book the room when you arrive at the hotel though. Cheaper rates that online and I highly doubt it's ever booked out.

I have never stayed in any other hotel in Pakse. The bedding is nice and also clean. The bathroom is clean but not luxurious. The rooftop bar and restaurant is awesome ambience. Breakfast buffet was best part of the stay. So many great options! And delicious fresh juice. Coffee tastes great too, not too bitter but still strong.

The rooftop restaurant is fine for sunset drinks. But don't eat here if you want to enjoy the meal with someone else. One main meal and our starter arrived together. I had to wait 20min for the other main, which was partly undercooked and partly cold. By that time my partner had finished their meal and I could not wait to get the bill and leave...

Nice hotel with friendly service (staff and the manager) the highlight of this hotel is the restaurant on the roof top. The restaurant is called Le Panorama Rooftop, The location is on the roof top of Pakse hotel (7th floor) It is a nice place to see the view of Pakse city in the night time and the sun set time with Happy Hour from 5pm-6pm (20% discount of all drinks).

Lovely old hotel from the 1960s. Clean rooms and very helpful staff. Wonderful roof top bar & restaurant with sun set views over the Mekong. Good parking facilities especially for motorcycles

The rooftop bar is great, you can see all around from a 6th floor and the sunset is really great. Also 20% off in all drinks from 5 to 6pm

Rooftop restaurant: the draw is definitely the view. Unfortunately, their pizza is amazingly bad- very dry, with almost no pizza sauce, and almost no cheese.

Came with 3 friends for breakfast. We were charged LAK100,000 per person & was told to pay at the restaurant rather than the reception. We weren't given receipt for it. Buffet spread was ok, with an egg station and noodle station. Very popular with room bookings as we wanted to stay here but only left with 2 rooms (we needed 4 rooms). Money exchange is about 50 steps to the left of the hotel.

Stayed in the Pakse Hotel for the second time. Is a quiet, clean and friendly place. The restaurant on the 6th floor has a stunning view and is a good location for a sundowner happy hour drink.

Overpriced for the amenities on board, no TV to speak of, no complementary water, neither tea/coffee facilities in the room.

Expensive hôtel if you want a window, don't take economic room, no windows and always in the dark... They lie about the BREAKFAST : not a buffet anymore, very little choice and quality is not respected for certain dishes...we came here because of the breakfast reviews....KEEP MOVING. Asked 2 questions online, never got replies...Overall Pakse is way more expensive than any city in Thailand. So weird because Pakse and Laos is way less attractive than thai cities

Stayed in the cheapest room in this hotel so did not expect much. The room was spacious enough with a large and comfortable bed. Maybe too comfortable since I slept in every morning missing the breakfast that I've heard is really good. On the top of the hotel there is a restaurant with really nice views of Pakse and the river. Food and drink were cheap considering the view you had. Food was good too but I prefered their Lao menu as I didn't like the western food that much. Happy hour between 5-6 PM was perfect when you want to sit and enjoy the beautiful sunset. I will return but maybe chose a room with windows next time. Staff were very accomodating and some of them spoke english.

Good hotel with a roof top restaurant with an amazing view around the city. Hotel is modern and the rooms are in a very good condition. Cleaning staff is very professional and they clean the room every day. The bed is super comfy. The hotel staff are super friendly and helpful. The breakfast is amazing, very good variation of food is available. Location is also great, everything is reachable in a walking distance. I definitely recommend that place.

Good place to stay. Easy, clean, affordable and jolly filled with people arriving and leaving all the time. The breakfast was really really very good, especially the coffee, but some of the staff on the rooftop restaurant were a bit stern, it was also overpriced. The rooms were nice, even the standard ones with no window.

Very comfortable room and it was clean. Everything worked properly. The view from the rooftop restaurant is very nice and the cocktails are good. The breakfast buffet on the ground floor was satisfying with fruits, eggs and nice bread along with other dishes. Unfortunately there is only one elevator for the whole hotel. So most of the time I took the stairs because I didn't want to wait several minutes for the elevator to arrive.

We visited the rooftop bar. The view was nice and the staff was friendly. But.. - the beer was warm, so they served it with ice - the cocktail was the worst we ever had. They use the cheapest and worst rum probably - they made a mistake with my meal first. But I got a new one then - the burger was dry and tasted like blood.. the "cheddar" cheese is cheap sandwich cheese. Just don't expect much when you go there

Great roof terrace with view and good restaurant. Breakfast buffet is amazing with everything you might want! Rooms are cozy. Beds comfy and service friendly. Great place to stay in pakse!

I have not tried the accommodations here yet. But i can say that the customer service in the restaurant is amazing. I had a couple of early hours to kill before heading back to VTE on the night bus. And wondered into the restaurant two hours before they were opened. They still let me in and let me order something to drink and just sit in the corner and work on my computer. AND they brought me free peanuts. Outstanding kindness.

A classic place to stay at Pakse. It is showing its age. Advantages are its location, and good restaurants, both breakfast and the roof top. Disadvantages are rather small rooms for its price, constantly people moving in and out.

This restaurant is worth a special mention. Incomprehensible from my side how this restaurant is always full of people. On my first visit, I was handed the wrong meal first of all, had ordered a burger and got a pizza. This went back bypass. The burger arrived and the meat was cold inside, not lukewarm it was cold as if it came out of the fridge. Which should not be with a medium roasted meat. On this visit I even ended up getting the pizza added to the bill, which really puts the crown on everything. Also the staff was very rude and not helpful. Was angepflaumt why I give up the wrong order. Not very professional. Second visit was no better, wanted to give it all another chance and went a little earlier, this time with a small group of people. Order was placed, but what ended up arriving at our table was inedible, the pizza was a frisbee, so hard and not to eat. The calamari ordered was also too long in the fryer and only tasted of fat, at least the drinks were delivered properly, but that was not too difficult when everyone orders beer. I advise everyone to avoid this location, the money is better spend in other restaurants. Too bad the terrace has a really exquisite view, but for that it is not worth it.

Nice and familiar hotel in the city center of Pakse, with a friendly and helpful staff. But the best thing is the rooftop restaurant on the 7th floor: great view over the city and the mountains.

Old, but cozy room. Clean and value for money. Near local market, restaurant, bus station and cafe. Roof top is just nice. Breakfast was very simple but ok for the price.

The room is clean, the people are friendly, and breakfast is good. There is a rooftop to see the view of the sunset and the whole town. The location is great, close to the market where you can try different local foods.

The staff is super sweet. The rooms are not bad. The whole place is a bit dated. Great location and rooftop restaurant with amazing reviews. Nice local breakfast buffet too.

Went for dinner on roof top restaurant " la Panorama" : view four stars, food ( western - steaks and the grilled chicken) three stars - suggest stick to Asian options. Service, ambience and location nice. A good dinner option, given the limited choices in Pakse. Nice bar-style seating for drinks, over looking the town .
