I am working as Young Professional 1 in ICAR NAHEP CAAST PROJECT in CSK HPKV Palampur. My current job is in Department of Vegetable Science. So in terms of Academic this college serves best education of Agriculture under 13 different departments. The Faculty is also supportive and always available for the students. Apart from these there is also a nice fountain, one big ground, gym and hostel for students. Last but not least one University Health Center is also there. So Overall this college is best in facilities for students. Thanks.

College of Agriculture, Palampur initially established as Junior college of Agriculture was founded to impart higher education to students of farfetched hilly areas of then Punjab in the field of agriculture. With the coming into existence of the Himachal Pradesh University in 1970, the College of Agriculture, Palampur became a part of the same and the college was also awarded the status of a post graduate institute in the year 1971. Today, the college of Agriculture, Palampur strives to imbibe and improve the skill sets of students in topics like hill agriculture, including supplementary, complimentary and competitive enterprises in the agricultural scenario.

Chaudhary Sarwan Kumar Himachal Pradesh Krishi Vishvavidyalaya, also known as CSK Himachal Pradesh Agricultural University (CSK HPKV), formerly Himachal Pradesh Krishi Vishvavidyalaya, is an agriculturaluniversity at Palampur in the Indianstate of Himachal Pradesh. It was established on 1 November 1978 as an expansion of the existing College of Agriculture established in May 1966. Hill agriculture is the focus of this university. The university is accredited by NBA (India's National Board of Accreditation) and the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR). Capital works investments for the university's land and facilities were provided by state government grants, and grants from the ICAR. In the 2004-05 academic year, approximately 63% of CSK HPKV's annual operating expenditure was funded by HP state government grants, and a further 29% covered by ICAR grants. The remaining funding came from fees collected and other sources.

Need some upgrades otherwise, Goos infrastructure, good faculty and well managed system by adminstration. You much visit once and think about it... Rather to join the institution.

Visited this place to learn about the practices followed by people of Himachal related to agriculture . Every department , We visited gave us a warm welcome and show cased the good work , they are doing . I found the plant breeding department best .

The best place to be. Spent 7 years here and still counting. It has given awesome experiences, beautiful location, amazing people and education the foremost.
