This puts Starbucks coffee to shame. I ordered an iced seven heaven latte and it might just be the best iced latte in all my travels. I also ordered a bright spot breakfast sandwich and was very pleased. There was more seating in the back and it wasn't too busy. At 8 AM. There was a small line but it moved fast. I easily found a place to sit. Don't miss this coffee shop if you're in Barrington. Parking was fairly easy too

Cute coffee shop with tasty fair-trade and ethically sourced coffee. Lots of options and felt great after having my drink! I'd love to see some compostable straws for the cold drinks.

I went here to get a cup of coffee and work but ended up getting two! I had the honey bee latte first, a sweet and flowery drink. The second drink I had was the Golden Dreams - turmeric, warm spices, coconut milk. Both were delicious! They also source sweets from local bakeries. They make their own syrups and ethically source all their coffees. They have other locations in the northern suburbs, and I will be seeking them out in the future. I still can’t get over the fact that they had coconut milk, my favorite. Many coffee shops I’ve gone to don’t. Looking forward to returning and trying new coffees and some of the baked goods!

Absolutely amazing. Coffee is just perfect, the ladies are absolutely kind and you can tell they do it with love! It’s a very cozy place, it was a rainy day so it felt like home.

I just have to say... the other reviewer is completely right. the WIFI hasn't been reliable for me or my friends for over a year now. They mostly sell signature lattes, which don't have a price on the menu and if you order it with ice (because ice costs extra), after tax it brings you to over $9. Pretty unacceptable and I wouldn't have said anything if it weren't for the owner trying to spin it differently. No one comes in here and orders a standard 4-shot large latte.

First time here, and I can't wait to come back! I got the honey bee latte made with local honey and lavender syrup (made in-house without artificial ingredients or flavors)

They just opened this completely renovated and expanded coffee, bakery, and food service. The baristas have always been top-notch, but they certainly are happier with the new I've always been top notch certainly apparently with a new Renovation. The renovation is beautiful and very comfortable yet modern. The designer did a terrific job with the furniture accessories and wall materials. You need to stop by.

First off the espresso here is excellent. I love it. Their espresso is high quality and wonderful no doubt about it. The store is also beautiful. However I am trying to figure out the pricing here. A large Iced Americano with 4 shots is $6.25. (Iced americano is espresso shots mixed with ice and water.) An iced quad espresso (4 shots espresso directly over ice, no water) oddly increases price to $7.05. 4 shots of espresso over ice for $7.05? This exact same beverage is $4.20 including tax at Starbucks. Before you crush me I am not comparing one coffee to another. I like both coffees. But paying almost double the cost here verses Starbucks for 4 espresso shots over ice will sadly reduce my visits here. Update 04/21/23: I made the mistake of coming back in here a few times and now I'm addicted to this place. I've told myself to man up and just work harder so I can earn more money to continue supporting my addiction here. Stars upgraded to 4. Would do 4.75 if I could. Staff is also rock solid.

I go here often when I’m in town to visit my mom. They open early, the staff are friendly, and the coffee is excellent. The staff here is unbeatable. Not only are they super well trained and make a damn good drink, but everyone working at this Variety is incredibly kind & charismatic. I’m so fortunate to have this as my local cafe - it has easily become my favorite in the city. They make such a soft and yummy latte. Their place is also cozy for hanging out with friends or working and being productive and the interior looked cool and interesting. Seating is decent. They have some interesting items on their menu. It was very nice and quiet. Go here if you're looking for a good drink and solid atmosphere.

Top-notch coffee and snacks with a peaceful environment for studying and getting work done. Prices are a bit high but the coffee and tea along with their extensive variety of milks and sweeteners are truly incomparable to other shops in the area. Staff always greets you with a smile and outdoor seating is available as well.

Newly renovated and the atmosphere is very nice. Spacious now with plenty of seating. Nice simple menu. The type of place that does fewer things but does them better than others. KiSS!

Love this place, been going here for coffee pretty often through the years. Only gripe with this busy location is I’ve had my drink taken by other patrons by mistake before. Honest mistakes, but with how busy it can get it might be useful to take a name so there’s no mix ups. Will continue to come here in the future for sure

Wonderful!! Absolutely amazing coffee! The staff was incredibly friendly! The lady making our drinks was so sweet!! Will definitely come back!! The sweet honey latte was delicious! I added oat milk and it highlighted the espresso!

Delicious coffey, friendly and experienced staff, rich and hearty fresh hot sandwiches, a good vibe. All I need in a coffee shop.

Very nice atmosphere, intimate, clean, friendly staff, and nicely paced service. Multiple seating options. Bar stools, tables, comfortable leather batwing chairs in the back. It was raining that day so I didn't notice outside seating but it seems likely that a place of this type would offer that. Barista Dawn was very sweet, comptent, and prompt. All around pleased with the whole experience.

Anyone giving this place 5 stars either works there or has never been to an actual good coffee shop. This place is overpriced, their public WiFi is “too busy” to join, and they don’t know how to use gift cards for their own shop. How can you sell gift cards to customers and then not know how to charge the gift card at the register? Oh and I almost forgot… if you like flies roaming around your coffee than this is definitely the place for you!
