While visiting family in the Chicago area, we went to The Salt Escape to celebrate my mom’s birthday. We didn’t know what to expect but we were so pleased immediately upon arrival. The owner is kind, charming, and patient. You can tell he is proud of his awesome spa and wants to give everyone the best experience possible. There’s even a sweet, furry friend to greet you. The spa itself left my skin and hair feeling soft, like promised, and I think I took the best nap of my life while laying in the bed of Himalayan salt rocks. There are so many beautiful products to browse through before or after your spa experience. I recommend it and hope to visit again next time I’m in town!

In response to the owner Tim's response to my friend Lisa's response saying that the sessions are only 50 minutes. On the Groupon that I purchased, it clearly states 60 minutes! And it STILL states 60 minutes. So you saying that it's only 50 minute session is therefore admission of false advertising. Sorry we will NEVER be back to your establishment. And we were NEVER informed of noise canceling headphones. I hope for the vitality of your business no else has the experience we did! HUGE disappointment especially since we drove an hour to your establishment. I don't go around giving 1 stars or bad reviews. It's unfortunate that I had to give your establishment a bad review. I feel a establishment should know whenever there's been a bad experience to make sure that it doesn't happen again.

Such a neat experience! And so relaxing. My favorite is the lavender bed, but it's all amazing. The owner is sooo nice. I forgot my water bottle there. He knew I was going to Egg Harbir for lunch, so he brought it over for me. So unexpected and thoughtful. Such customer service!

Thank you so much Tim for such an amazing experience at the Himalayan salt cave, my favorite were the lavender & the heated Amathus crystal bed. • Breathing is important • Releasing stress • Inhale natural energy • Positive mood is a must

The rooms are really cool and interesting to look at and be in. But it's odd with other strangers in there with you. Distracting at times. The lobby was out of both hot and cold water and the receptionist had little care to refill it after knowing.

We went a few weeks ago. Loved that we had the place to ourselves because quite it would be very awkward with strangers. I wish the salt beds were warm, we went right when it opened, so maybe not enough time to warm up? Also, it would have been nice to have more soothing scent in the room. I didn't really smell any much, my partner said it was very faint. But we did have a nice, relaxing time, can't wait to go back! Are there massage chairs?

What an amazing place! The Salt Escape is something you have to see and breathe to experience yourself. Not only is it relaxing, and fun to go with a friend or loved one, it is healthy and healing. We went mainly to relax but the next day my breathing was improved, as well as our overall energy. Joint pain lessened as well. What's more, Tim the owner is very kind and a great host, giving us a tour, and greeting us upon each return. We are hooked! And purchased a pack of gift cards to give as Christmas gifts to share good health and happiness in the new year.

Very relaxing place. We bought a Groupon for 2 and it was very cheap. You have to call in to make an appointment. In the salt room, they have chairs, bed, and floor seating whatever you prefer. It was just 2 of us during that session. The ambiance in the salt room was amazing. Very relaxing. After our session, we talked to the owner and he was very polite and said people love this place and they come in groups. They also have a lot of stuff to sell. We bought CBD cream which is so so good for pains.

Had a very relaxing time. My wife and oldest two daughters went with. From the zero gravity chairs, relaxing ocean sounds, heat bed, and bean bag chair, this was an hour well worth it. I had a great couple of night sleeps and was much more relaxed at work the days following. I highly recommend.

This place is very relaxing! They’re welcoming the minute you enter the door. I wish places like this would partner up with float tank facilities. It would be amazing to head into the salt cave right after a float. Definitely worth checking out if you’re at all curious or just need some time away from the world.

Just go. I've never met such a more kind and generous owner, and I've worked in high end restaurant for 25 years...this place was next level awesome! A private meditation room sits in back, he has zero gravity chairs, the decor, lamps and salt are first class, and the place definatly practices what it preaches. I was there with only one other woman who was a regular...and it was most relaxing hour...the owner even gave me extra time out of his kind nature. I had no idea, salt therapy can help with congestion, sore achey muscles, circulation you name it! First class hospitality, stellar facility, worth the drive from Chicago in a heartbeat!!!!

Very enjoyable. It was my first time and will definitely be back. The owner was amazingly talented and the craftsmanship of the entire space is absolutely unbelievable. A must see. And Batman is the cutest!!!!

Amazing experience! Booked a 1 hour session with my friend. This was my 1st time at a salt cave. The owner, Tim, showed us to the room which was beautiful. It has reclining chairs, individual areas to lay down as well as a more private room off to the side. I have trouble sleeping and NEVER nap but found myself dozing off! We went into the room with a few other people but woke up with just the 2 of us. Our session was just 1 hour, but since there wasn’t another booking (and Tim saw us sleeping 💤) he left us alone to snooze another hour. I woke up feeling so relaxed! You can buy salt lamps, essential oils and more. Can’t wait to go back. Thank you Tim for your generosity!

What a magical experience! Tim has done wonders with decorating this peaceful space and went above and beyond to make us as comfortable as possible. Would definitely recommend! Felt almost instant results. We did not want to leave!

I've heard there are a lot of benefits to breathing in salty air from a salt room like this. It's a beautiful setting, tranquil and very relaxing. I enjoyed the warm salt bed.

Watch Out! This is a fly-by-night unethical business. They had a location in Batavia IL. They took in advance fees, closed and left Batava, and did not give their customers their deserved refunds. I spoke with the owner today. He said that because the landlord kicked them out, he lost money and now the business is separate, that this excuses why the customers should not get refunds they are entitled to. He said he sent out emails with an offer to transfer. Arlington Heights is not very close to Batavia. I did not receive any such email. I called when they closed but nobody had the courtesy to return my call. If you pay in advance, to not expect any refund which you feel you may be entitled. to. Thankyou for reading this. Keith Followup to your response. 1. the problem was not on my end I open all my emails. I was not using my prepaid session due to covid. 2. Arlingtin heights is not that close. only in a perfect world on a day with very little traffic. I know. I used to drive there to visit a relative. 3. The least you could have done is return my phone call!!!!!!! 4. I had no idea you opened somewhere else until I received an email today trying to sell me more sessions. Hence the 4 year wait. 5. The prepayments were not refundable you say? An ethical business that was not in bankrupcy would have offered a cash refund because it is not reasonable to expect customers drive that distance round trip. 6. I may have been a bit harsh and for that I am sorry. but my humble opnion stands. You are an unethical business. 7. I bought a package at Bat Fest in Batavia before you closed and left town. I did not use all of this because of Covid. That may explain why you did not email me. Your records were not updated properly.

Such a cool, relaxing experience! I recently broke my foot and developed a blood clot. I've been having a very rough last few weeks and I definitely wanted to try this out! Even if no physical changes were evident, I knew this would help me mentally and emotionally. To my surprise at the end, my leg felt less achey and even seemed less swollen. Yay! Just be aware that this is not a social event! You are not supposed to talk or whisper with your friends inside the salt room. So keep in mind if you're wanting to check this out with friends- no talking, otherwise you are ruining the experience for others during your shared session time. On that note, I'll be back but hopefully with a quieter session :)

Our first time going and it was fantastic. Super relaxing and calming experience. We were group of 2 and group of 4 went in with us. Everyone in the group were respectful of the no cell phones and no talking rule which was lovely. Staff was friendly and we will go back.
