Shady business and spiders everywhere: To start, nothing I’m about to say applies to the wedding coordinator, Payton. He was helpful and compassionate throughout the entire process. However, I could never in good conscience recommend this venue to someone else planning a wedding. We had an insane amount of issues that could’ve been avoided if the owner communicated openly and honestly with us from the beginning. There were so many issues, I just have bullet point them: - They demanded a last minute $1,000 cash fee they “forgot” to include previously THE DAY BEFORE OUR WEDDING. - The owner was pestering my wife for the $1,000 while she was PUTTING ON HER WEDDING DRESS. She already watched us set up the transfer, and it had not gone through yet. - The owner was beyond rude to us, the wedding party, and our guests. She would snap and bark at members of the wedding party while we were getting ready - We had to ask the owner to leave the venue the day of as she was inappropriate and unprofessional the entire time. - We were promised the hotel would be finished, but there was major construction the night of our wedding - They served expired beer - There were literal spiders everywhere - They were showing to the venue ti prospective clients during our wedding - The staff was unprofessional and loud during our speeches - Due to the construction, the building was not pressurized. Temperature and humidity would not stay constant. - Only the revolving doors were open, so there was no ADA/accessible entrance. (Pretty sure this one is illegal) - Whenever we went raised an issue, the owner would say “don’t complain to me”, “this is just business”, or “blame the city” (?) Again, Payton was nothing but helpful and tried his best to help us with all these issues. I cannot say the same for the owner and the staff. From what I can tell this place is borderline broke, and they will nickel and dime you like crazy just to make sure they can make ends meet. We were incredibly fortunate that our guests still had a good time, and we were able to put an amazing party. However, that is only because the rest of our vendors, who we found ourselves, stepped up to help fix these issues and make our guests comfortable. Chez is not worth the low cost.

I attended a wedding here about a month ago and I was absolutely dazzled by The Chez! It's a beautiful hotel and the staff was kind, friendly, and so accommodating. I highly recommend this place and cannot wait for another opportunity to go back!

Our school had our Junior senior formal here & it couldn’t have been better . The food and service was amazing . And Michelle worked well with our group making our needs work well for the space ! The kids had a blast !!!!!! Plus we loved the G-7 photobooth company you recommended!!!!!!! Thanks again !

We had our camps annual fundraiser at the Chez. Payton was absolutely fabulous and very attentive. The Chez was very attentive to our needs. Also the venue is beautiful!

I was at Chez Hotel on several occasions. Last time I attended Valentine's party. The service was outstanding, bartender 5 star, food excellent The biggest, nice surprise was Elvis Show. The music repertoire made everyone happy, people were dancing nonstop. I cant wait to come back. THE BEST VALENTINES PARTY I EVER ATTEND

Wow, we cannot rave this venue enough. First place we saw and the many other venues we saw after paled in comparison. Payton and Krystyna were not only helpful, but genuinely a blast to work with. I just want to put Payton in my pocket and take him with me everywhere!! He was so flexible and easy to work with and truly worked hard to make our vision come alive! Hotel was not open yet but Payton improvised and set us up at a lovely nearby hotel, everything went off without a hitch(besides us lol). Best night ever. Run, don’t walk, to book your next event at Chez.

My husband and I got married on October 1st, 2022, at The Chez Hotel. Our experience with The Chez was wonderful! We worked with Michelle for the event coordination, and she was amazing! Michelle is professional, kind and patient. Whenever we had a question, she was quick to respond. During contract negotiations, Michelle was fair with the terms of the agreement, and we never felt bullied during our conversations with her. She calmed our nerves leading up to the big day, and made sure that all the events ran smoothly the day of. She is one of a kind, and we cannot say enough good things about her! The Chez Hotel itself is also a beautiful venue to host an event. Our guests were impressed with the unique design of the space. In addition, The Chez offers all-in-one packages that include food/drink/décor/etc. By using The Chez for multiple services, we were able to reduce the number of vendors we needed to search for/engage with; which ultimately reduced stress and work for us. We would absolutely recommend The Chez Hotel to anybody looking for a great venue to host an event!

The Chez was the location of our daughter's wedding this past weekend. My husband and I enjoyed working with Michelle throughout the process. We arrived just as they opened the doors to the ballroom. You pray the whole day that everything will look as you planned it to and that everything will run smoothly. As the doors opened, the room took my breath away. It was stunning! The care taken to get every last detail in place as we had talked about over the months was top notch. The wait staff and bartenders were excellent. They all worked so very hard. Many of our guests came up to us to say it was the BEST wedding they had ever attended. It is the perfect venue. Kudos to the ENTIRE TEAM at The Chez - - and for Michelle's lead on everything. She was amazing!

We had our wedding here in June of 2024. The whole experience was great! Big thank you to the event planners!! We went to roughly 7 other venues and after our first meeting with Krystyna we knew this was the place. Super helpful and accommodating, hosted 300+ guests with no complaints. The day of, everything was taken care of and the event staff really pulled through making sure the venue was exactly how my wife and I wanted it. We opted for the white dance floor, which looked stunning, and lasted the whole night. Last but not least, the dinner was just as good, if not better, than our tasting! We heard many our guest complimenting the food during and after the reception. The venue also works with local food and pastry providers, so if you don't have someone already, they were a huge help contacting and helping us get extra sweets and apps. All in all would highly recommend the venue. Highlights: -Food was great -Venue looked like we wanted it day of, the staff really paid attention to detail -Plenty of communication beforehand to iron out any details -Prices per plate and bar were reasonable, especially post COVID -Staff was all hands on deck the days leading up and the day of the wedding getting things setup and making sure it was perfect, which made our day that much better.

We used the Chez Hotel for our non-profit's annual gala. From start to finish, Payton, our coordinator, was a rock star. Always helpful, always kind. We loved the look of the venue and the pricing was really affordable considering all they offered. The chef also went above and beyond for us, we were requesting a menu they had never done before and he was so concerned about giving us what we wanted. He even had me come in the kitchen while we were setting up to taste test some of the food. In general we had a great experience with every staff member, save for one woman in accounting who was pretty rude. But that was an anomaly as everyone else was willing to go above and beyond. Our guests all loved the event as well, we were able to put on a really elegant event at a fraction of the cost it would have been in the city. All of our guests raved about it as well saying it was the best gala we had put on yet, and in our 12 previous years we were in the city at some really nice hotels. We were really happy with our choice to go with Chez!

Where to begin. Ever come across a group of individuals who go from complete strangers to instant friends who feel like family? That’s exactly how the team at Chez Hotel made me feel. If they ever needed me, I’d be there in an instant. Planning a wedding is insanity to say the least. But what makes it easier is having someone who will listen and understand what you’re asking for. Everyone there has a “yes we can make that happen” attitude. They’re genuinely kind people working in a not so kind field because wedding planning is HARD. Without them honestly I don’t think our wedding would’ve been the way it was. Just a truly remarkable experience working with the team here and I HIGHLY recommend everyone to go check them out and you’ll see for yourself why we chose them and why I’m writing this review. For the team: Michelle - She’s the best wedding planner/coordinator we could’ve ever asked for. I’m not just saying this. I mean this from the bottom of my heart! The way Michelle handled us with all of our requests is truly remarkable because we were a pain, frankly. She’s incredible at what she does and I hope others get to have someone like her on their side during such a hectic phase! Please go see her and you will not be disappointed! Payton - while not our main coordinator, a truly incredible human being who helped if Michelle wasn’t around! Very helpful and caring. Can’t thank you enough for all your help! My husband and I hosted our wedding reception at the Chez Hotel on July 2, 2022. Overall, the night was incredibly fun and the staff treated us with kindness during the entire event. The banquet hall and outside hallway was beautiful and well lit. The drinks, meals, and desserts were all very enjoyable and we received many compliments from our guests on the food and venue. Payton, our event coordinator, was super helpful, friendly, and enthusiastic throughout the planning process. We appreciated his attention to detail and working with us to ensure our special event went smoothly. The day of the event, Payton and Krystyna, worked behind the scenes to coordinate with the staff at the venue allowing us to just focus on having a good time with our friends and family. We highly recommend booking the Chez Hotel for your next event and can't thank them enough for making our day even more special with their amazing service and atmosphere!!

My partner and I held our reception at Chez in Oct. 2022. Their wedding packages were the best deal that we found in the nearby area. In addition to a great price, Payton was very friendly, flexible and communicative. The venue is modern and chic, so it's not your average banquet hall. It has a downtown Chicago feel without the hassle of city parking! I have heard nothing but great feedback from our guests as well. They made sure we stayed on schedule without feeling rushed. Overall great experience.

We had our wedding here 2 days ago and it was an amazing experience! Krystyna and Michelle were so great to work with and super accommodating! They truly made our experience a fairytale dream. They have so many years of experience and it certainly shows! The venue is super gorgeous, the ceiling art is amazing, the staff is super friendly, and the entire place is kept super clean! The food was spectacular. If you ever need to have any event please consider The Chez Hotel, they will provide everything you need, plus advice and more! My guests were amazed at the gorgeous atmosphere and many want to have their wedding at this venue now! The ambiance left everyone feeling like they attended a royal wedding!

From when we starting planning the wedding (September 2020) up through the day itself, Michelle's communication was on point. We had gone in several times and looked at other venues, but the pricing, quality of food and what was all included at this venue was the best choice for us. If i had to say anything disappointed us, we were told the hotel portion of the venue would be completed in time for our wedding and it wasn't. In our contract we were guaranteed a suite on the wedding night, so the Chez actually paid for a night of ours at another hotel to live up to their end of the contract. All in all, it was not a deal breaker as there are plenty of hotels in the area if it's still not completed when you read this. On the wedding day itself the staff was incredible, they had a lot of people in there working every table and the bartenders were fast and efficient. The food was exactly as what we had tasted and the service for all of our guest was top notch. I would highly recommend the sweets table and a meat hut if you can add it onto your day. They use a few bakeries and everyone was drawn to the meat hut especially for how unique it is. The white dance floor with our initials and the flower wall made things look very nice and detailed to our liking. To those claiming you can hear music from another wedding if you have only half of the room, we heard nothing at all from one that was going on at the same time. If you are reading reviews and trying to decide on a venue like we did, this venue will NOT disappoint. We had been to enough weddings in the suburban area and this place will give you the best bang for your buck. Michelle, Kristyna and Payton all did an amazing job with any questions or concerns we had. Let them take care of your big day, you won't be let down!

The staff was very hospitable, I am from the south so I KNOW hospitality!!! Attended a wedding there in September and we had a blast. The staff was attentive to the bride and groom as well as our attending families. We highly recommend this hotel for all of your wedding and party needs. They are very accommodating.

What an amazing experience! Payton is a wonderful Coordinator. He helped us along the whole way. Paid attention to the details we wanted and made all our requests happen. The food was amazing. There are plenty of photo ops, it's such a beautiful venue. Would definitely use them again or recommend them. Payton and Krystyna were lovely to work with. The Chez Hotel was very accommodating and beautiful! Our wedding was perfect! Krystyna, Michelle and Payton made sure that everything was organized and everything we wanted. Our guests couldn't stop complementing us about the venue and the food. We had 4 bartenders to make sure our guests were not waiting in line long and had all the ingredients for all the drinks we wanted. The white dance floor, room set up and cake was exactly what we asked for. The servers were kind, respectful and fast especially with 342 guests. We had a lovely time and wouldn't change a single detail. Thank you to the Chez Hotel! We look forward to booking in the future for future events!

Fantastic atmosphere, food, and staff!!! The owners will treat you as family and love to go the extra mile for you! I highly recommend this venue for all your needs, it is clean, elegant, and the staff is on top of everything. Communication with them is superb and they make sure you don't forget a thing! They offer a lot of extras for wedding packages compared to some venues which helps take the stress off the bride and groom!! Went to do a presentation. The banquet hall is absolutely beautiful 😍. I learned that people have weddings, receptions and parties. I had lunch and the food was good. Everyone was nice.

We had a small wedding celebration in Chez hotel and it was superb! First we met with Michelle and then with Krystyna, both of them were very helpful and made sure our celebration was as we imagined it to be. The dinner was great, the servers were extremely attentive. The lobby is a great place to take photos. Thank you so much Chez hotel crew!

We had our wedding here on June 10, 2023 and I can't recommend The Chez enough. Michelle, Krystyna, and Payton treated us like family, they were accommodating, and went above and beyond to make sure our wedding was perfect. Michelle was very quick to respond to any question we had, gave her advice when we were unsure on what to do, and was extremely professional. They have many years of experience and it shows. Not to mention the banquet hall is gorgeous, clean, and the ambiance is incredible. We had a 330 person wedding, and we received endless compliments from our guests regarding the food, dessert, staff, and their overall experience. They bend over backwards to make sure your event is flawless. We are extremely happy we found the Chez for our wedding and can't wait for their hotel and rooftop bar to open! I HIGHLY recommend The Chez for any event.

I attended a Wedding at this location recently and I felt compelled to write a review. I don't normally write reviews, but the service was top notch. Each and every guest I talked to had the same great feeling, so I thought I would write a review. The filet that we had was cooked perfectly and the sauce was out of this world. Not to mention, the servers, bartenders, and managers were all very accommodating, especially for my wife who has a gluten allergy. They were able to accommodate her on the spot! I definitely recommend this venue if you are searching for the perfect place to host any event! Great work, Chez team. We cannot wait to return once the hotel is open.

We elected to go out for New Years Eve with a group of friends and attended the Gala at the Chez . The ambiance was elegant with excellent service. The food was delicious with appetizer and midnight buffets of foods in addition to a 4 course dinner . Dance floor was big enough to accommodate all of us. Open bar service with top shelf liquors . An evening of food and entertainment to remember! A great way to start the New Year!

The New Year Eve party was fabulous. The dinner tables were set up with beautiful center pieces, full dinner place settings, Grey Goose, Pellegrino sparkling water, and bottles of red and white wines. The appetizer table was complete with many choices and generous quantities to choose from. The dinner menu was complete with soup, salad, and a dinner plate that offer both a filet of beef, chicken with a delicious sauce, potato, and steam asparagus. later followed with a chocolate mouse cake, coffee or tea. The ball room is decorated with a beautifully painted blue sky, extremely clean, with a very attentive weight staff. We recommend organizing both personnel or corporate events at the Chez Hotel.
