This is the best dining experience that I’ve had for a long time. The restaurant is located on a mountainside with an absolutely stunning view, especially during a sunset. The food is delicious, and generously priced, when compared to the quality of the food. I was fortunate enough to try 2 starters and 3 main courses, all flawless. I especially recommend the calamari starter. The staff was excellent and very attentive. For example they notice our table was rocking, and quickly fixed the issue. Lastly, you can eat all you want without feeling guilty, the climb up the mountain will definitely burn all the calories yet to be consumed. All in all, a great restaurant, which I cannot recommend enough.

We were looking for a good view and I think we found it. When we came, it was almost full, but we got a table upstairs, but not close to the edge. The waiter said we would be moved to the edge as soon as possible, and we only needed to wait for 10min. We ordered a starter and mojitos to begin and it came really quick. We had the recommended lamb shank for main as it was straight from the oven. The food tasted really good, great portions and excellent service with a good view!

Brilliant food and an outstanding view. Service was exceptional, very hospitable, one of the few places in chania/Platanias that sold whispering angel, perfect wine to watch the sun set. We had the fish balls, tzatziki and octopus to start, they were all very authentic Greek dishes and did not disappoint on taste. For main we had chicken and gnocchi as well as the chicken souvlaki, tasted really good (big portions!!) to finish we had the cacao mousse which came with complimentary glasses of Moët. All in all the service was outstanding and the food delicious

Sure one of the best restaurants in Platanias, especially for fine dining. Food is excellent as well as service not to mention amazing view! We will visit again.

The view, the food, the service, high level of everything! Really price worthy. So glad that we booked a table here for tonight, it’s worth a visit if you’re in Platanias.

A perfect panorama view out over Platanias. Staff was friendly and almost everything we ordered came very fast. There was a small hiccup in the order process and they missed an order for one us, so that came a little later (but we didn't have to pay for that portion). Everything was nice and tasteful. But in the end of our meal they emptied our table so fast that it felt like we were being "thrown out" which kinda ruined the mood 😑

Great views... little bit expensive, they don't serve the traditional after meal sweets or rakia. They have beer from Greece, which is Heineken... Very elegant inside, but not so special outside... But the view is amazing...

Amazing view! Food wasnt so good, we took salad and lamb and both were simple but they brought pasta ja and free wine glasses to save the situation. Waiter were so friendly and polite:)

After arrival, we were brought to the roof terrace with a beautiful view over Platanias and were offered some drinks. Sadly, we waited over 45 minutes until someone asked us if everything is okay and that our dinner table inside is ready, which we were not aware that this is a thing there. We were a bit confused to be honest that no one gave us a dinner menu or something like that. This process of informing the guests when the table is ready could really be optimized. Besides that, after we got to the table, the service was really fast, caring and kind. We got our dishes quickly and it was very tasty.

We visited this restaurant three times in one week. Chicken souvlaki so good we had to go back and get the exact same dish a couple of days later. While there, I saw some other guest having the salmon pasta so I obviously had to go back to get that on a third night. My fiance had the chicken gorgonzola gnocchi, also delicious. Couldn't get enough of the view either. Lovely staff.

Had high expectations. Food was ok, but even the chicken in the pasta dish was pre-cooked and re-heated. Waiters were not very friendly. Did not appreciate jokes. Did not have straws for the Mojito. And how can a wanna be classy place with such an amazing view, put such sad flowers on the tables?

Dinner was absolutely amazing! Go here if you want to see sunset and eat great greek food with superb service.

We were very happy with our dinner here, the view is fantastic probably the best in Platanias. The waitresses was very professional and sociable which is always fun. I tried slow cooked lamb by the chefs recommendations and was very happy with that choice. The price is a little bit higher than other places but its really worth it because the professionalism and view make the total experience the best i've had so far here in Platanias. Be mindful of the fact that you are high up so it can be a bit windy so a jacket or thick shirt can be recommended, especially after sun down. (They do provide blankets if needed). Thanks for a great evening dinner!

Cosmos restaurant is stunning in every way. The view is the best on the hill you can see the sun setting on the left. The food menu is modern and delicious. Beautiful wine and cocktails. The owner is also super friendly, we stayed next door and he helped us access the property. This restaurant is a must visit but make sure you reserve as it gets super busy.

This amazing panoramic view resturent was our last stop in Crete before we left. It is a family run business. The owner greeted us himself and seated us in a table to watch the sunset behind the mountains. The food menu is very creative and considered Gourmet with a sophisticated crafting of the dishes in a colorful and imaginative way. The dishes taste as good as the looks. The stuffed grapevines are a favorite of mine and comparing to others I have tasted across the island this was the tastiest. The duck meat dish is also very tasty. The Slovakia and the octopus out of this world. Highly recommended place that you must go to if you are ever in Rethimno.

Excellent restaurant. Best views over Platanias with amazing food. Food is a bit more expensive than in some restaurants down in the village but still very reasonable prices. Watching the sun set while eating delicious dishes is worth experiencing. Customer service is also brilliant. Everyone are super friendly.

I've been here 3 times during my holiday and the food is great, view is great, and the staff is great. We also feel safe from COVID19 as they seem to take measures seriously.

Nestled in the hills of the old city, you'll stumble cross Cosmos - and lucky you! Service and food were spectacular. Completely unexpected, they make wonderful cocktails and have a whiskey collection you may never see anywhere else. Our dinning was during less than optimal weather, rainy and dark - but if you plan your visit, you'll have beautiful views of Platanias. The entire staff was so welcoming. Fantastic experience all around.

Beautiful place with amazing view of the city. Great service and good food. Would give 5 stars if we weren’t sent outside in the windy weather to wait for the taxi for 10 minutes. Appreciate that they called a taxi for us, but wish we could wait for it inside as we were both very cold by the time it got there. Next time we’ll bring a jacket!

An amazing location, with a fantastic view. The walk certainly sharpens your appetite! Everyone is so gracious and accommodating, helping us choose a lovely rosé wine for the meal. The food was very good, some traditional cretan dishes and others inspired by Greek recipes. A lovely, romantic location.

Sadly the chef don't know how to cook a medium steak - we got 3 x almost well done (destroyed) steaks. Sad because the restaurant is perfectly situated on top of the hill with a great view. And the staff was very friendly and kind.

Good food and good service. The go-to place for your sunset dinner with the incredible view. All in all nice, fancy and neat, but apart from the view we didn't experience that something extra, that would've elevated the experience from good to awesome.

Restaurant with amazing views to sea and mountain. Fine dining place with great service and amazing food. We couldn't get taxi back from hills where restaurant is located to hotel, so the owner of the restaurant drove us back to hotel free of charge. Amazing service 5/5

10/10 You must visit here! The best meal we had whilst staying in Platanias. That good we went back a second time for our last meal. It’s well worth the hike up the hill. The food, service & views are fantastic. We had squid & mushroom starters that were yummy, followed by steaks…..perfection!! I’d eat here every night : )
