I have so much gratitude for Java & Michelle and everyone who works at Java's Compost. I've been searching for a compost service in the area and at the time, they didn't service Morristown and I sent them an email, kindly asking if they were willing to service us as we were just over the Madison border. They said yes and I've been a happy customer since! We also have our own composting at home but we're hesitant on composting meats & dairy which is why we're so grateful to have Java's Compost service to coincide with our at home compost. We've reduced our weekly garbage to less than 10 liters (a small plastic bag). We scheduled an in-person compost lesson the other week where we got to meet Java. Such a great guy and really took the time to help us master our compost. I am so proud to be one of their customers. We will be getting our annual bucket of finished compost soon and I cannot wait. I’ve been a backyard composter for the last few years but had to take a break due to the cold and snowy weather. I started looking into local alternatives and found Java’s. I signed up with the intention of being a seasonal customer, but I love it so much I may never go back. I love that I can compost a wider variety of items than I was able to in our backyard. With a baby and a toddler it’s been so nice that I’m saving our food waste from a landfill but I don’t have to dedicate the time and effort to maintaining my own compost pile. It’s so convenient that they pick it up each week, drop off a clean bucket and they even send reminder texts the night before my scheduled pick up. Everything about their service is convenient and seamless. I highly recommend Java’s if you’ve been wanting to try composting!

I'm someone who always wanted to compost, but could never get over the learning curve. Java's pick up service is the best thing ever, as I can simply toss scraps into a bucket and let the experts do the work behind the scenes. We've reduced our trash by HALF since we started, and it is so easy to do. Great service and company. I've been composting for years with a backyard bin, but it is hard to use in the winter and it is limited to fruits and vegetables scraps only. Java Compost allows me to compost year round and recycle all food waste -meat, bones, cheese, breads, paper products. My home compost bin is working a lot better now with a higher ratio of leaves/grass clippings and attracts less insects and rodents. Best of all, my trash has been greatly reduced. The service is very convenient and easy to use. Pickups can be weekly or biweekly and it is easy to cancel pickup for a week if you're away on vacation.

Michelle and Java are making the world a better place with their company and great service. I have long minimized food waste by buying only what I need. But even throwing out the waste from cooking (carrot tops, peels, avocado pits, strawberry hulls etc) was bothering me. I wasn’t up for an open compost bin in my yard and was not sure I could handle my own compost at all. I wanted to just collect my food waste and it be taken away. I am so happy I found Java’s Compost! Their tumbler and their composting introduction converted me quickly. It is easy to do and amazing to watch how quickly food waste turns into “black gold”. And my landfill has reduced way more than I thought. Best of all, Michelle and Java are super responsive, so you can rest assured that any issues of questions are addressed quickly. I love my tumbler and highly recommend this solution to anyone who wants to stop “wasting their waste”!

A great business that provides a great service! We composted for 2 years with Java and Michelle (before we finally got a house and have our own composter now!) The online service is easy to coordinate, they are very receptive to customer service, and they make it easy to do something that is good for the planet. They are also very informative and helpful for composting resources and planning larger events with composting services. Highly recommend to anyone with party planning, at-home composting, or general composting questions.

When my local grocery store stopped collecting compost, I searched for a local drop off and happened upon Java. The drop off location near me is wildly convenient (with ample parking), the bin was never dirty (they can schedule property pick-ups too!), and knowing the compost was being used as the 'black gold' that it is, is exactly what this community needs. 10/10

I have enjoyed the service provided by Java's Compost and their friendly staff. It's great to see composting encouraged so that less waste ends up in our overburdened landfills. J.C has been highly reliable in the time I have been using them, and I recommend them to anyone who may be interested in composting. I used to do my own backyard composting, but J.C. takes a lot of the time and mess out of the process, and they provide customers with nutrient-rich compost to improve the soil for backyard gardens.

Have been using Java's Compost for nearly over 3 years and I cannot praise their service enough. I subscribed to a two week a bucket service and my regular garbage has reduced to only about one 32 gallons per two weeks. Java's Compost service is easy, simple but effective. I just needed to leave the full bucket outside and then they will collect and leave me a clean bucket. Every year I get a bag of fertilizer from them for my garden. I have to say l 💕 Java's Compost and will recommend them to anyone without hesitation!

Best service ever! Having a place in an urban setting to drop off all of my 'from the vine' waste and more. An extensive list of compostables is awesome.

Love love love this business. As much as I'd always wanted to compost, I could never motivate myself to figure out how to do it at home. Java's Compost made the process incredibly easy! I appreciate everything they've done to help make the community much more green :)
