Very
calm
place.
The
temple
is
build
on
top
of
this
hill
during
Pandiyan
reign.
Even
today
we
can
see
the
steps
sculpted
by
them.
Now,
we
are
seeing
the
steps
created
by
lord's
devote.
The
lord
Siva
lingam
is
quiet
small
and
facing
west.
Also,
we
have
shrines
for
Godess
Balambigai
facing
north
and
Godess
Mayilambigai
facing
east.
There's
a
separate
shrine
for
Sithar
in
north
and
Kanimar
near
to
that.
Lord
Vinayagar
is
at
the
entrance
of
temple.
KalaBairavar
in
the
north-east
corner.
Maduraiveeran
is
on
the
way
near
the
temple
and
near
the
karuvarai.
You
can
see
many
'Ponarali'
trees
on
the
way.
Pradosham,
Sivarathri
are
very
special
here.
Annadhanam
will
be
provided
on
these
days
to
devotees.
It's
advised
to
visit
the
temple
on
day
time.
Trekking
is
impossible
when
there's
less
time.
It
is
hard
terrain
as
the
steps
are
carved
from
rocks.
On
the
way,
you
can
see
musical
rock
called
as
Kinnara
parai.
People
stay
there
sometimes
and
have
good
Darshan.
