It's a beautiful park! My family and I have been going there since I was a little kid! I love the playground, the big track and the wilderness there! I love walking the little trail through the woods!!!! I highly recommend this beautiful park!

Relatively short trails, but pet friendly and absolutely gorgeous. No road noise, which was nice. Nature center with activities for the kids, large open park. The trails are especially shady, and cool even in the middle of August. Check out their book reading program - they have a story cut up and divided along the path so you have to keep walking to find out what happens! Cannot emphasize enough how beautiful this place is. Great for kids, pets, and adults alike.

It's a great park for a family outing or a nature walk. There's plenty of parking and room to run. The fresh air is full of all the smalls you would expect from a natural environment. There is playground for the children to enjoy. They have a very large pavilion with more than enough covered seating and a seating area for nature stores and info about the park. There are two nature boardwalks to enjoy the scenery with alot about what you see and here throughout the journey. There's a club house you can go into and also read and ask questions things happening in the area.

Kids love this place. Close to house, walk in the nature and teaching them about nature and how to live and respect it is perfect here.

Huge park! Great nature walk with educational perks listed throughout. Large play area , no trash around, well kept. Bathroom access to all. Picnic table area, rain or shine.

Just a heads up—I came here because some other reviews mentioned it was pet friendly but there are several signs saying only service pets allowed. I think they are fine at the park and the big field but not on the nature trail. Also beware of lots and lots of noseeum bugs!!! My family and I have been suffering the last couple of days with lots and lots of itching! Otherwise, it is a nice park.

This might be my favorite park in the area. The board walk is lovely and makes for a nice shady stroll. Level and well kept - great for any age walker. Plenty of benches to sit in along the way for little breaks. You will likely see gopher tortoises. The nature center is interesting for kids of all ages and nature loving adults. Hours are limited: Thursday-Sunday 12 noon to 5 PM. There are some outdoor exhibits - a screech owl, a barred owl, and a nifty mason bee house. Co-located by the parking lot is a park with 2 sections: one for younger tots 5 and under and another recommended for kids 5-12 years of age. There are also swings, picnic tables, a climbing tree, and a large pavilion.

We took our 2yr old grandchild here... It's not a big play area, but partly shaded...she climbed up and hen down each slide for hours. Nice area to have a picnic lunch and a walking trail. She loves to go exploring

Awesome park! Big, clean, beautiful! Love the nature trails. Like that they have play equipment for both younger and older kids. Love to do birthdays there!

Beautiful park with lots of trees and a nature trail. There is a huge field and track with pavilions in both sides. Great playground for the kids.

Most of the time, it's actually the only shaded playground. It also has a small trail and a BIG open field. This is definitely one of my go-to parks for mostly everything. But the mosquitoes are insane. Protect yourself and the kids, please.

Please stop replacing fun playgrounds with new smaller less exciting ones. The existing one is perfect just fix and paint. I see new playground all over town and most just same thing and kind of boring with tons of unecessary stairs. We just love this one so much and hearing that its beeing replaced is heartbreaking because newer is not always better and I have seen enough

Very nice park. Medium sized playground with various swings and things for kids to climb on. Has a nice size public restroom and it also has a free library.

Have always loved this park. It's the only one on Merritt island that has such a lovely long nature trail. I also love the very large pavilion with the many picnic tables in it and attached bathrooms. It would be an ideal place for a large gathering

Excellent park and nature center. The park is huge and has great playsets for the kids, also has several pavilions with bathrooms that are open to the public. Great parking and very safe. The nature center is awesome, lots of animals and insects on display and the staff is super knowledgeable. Great place to take the kids. Note, no dogs are allowed in the park.

This place is great for families, a short walk, educational, birdwatching, plant identification, and wildlife. We spotted two indigo snakes there. Nice family walk for Easter Sunday. Great Playground too! Thanks for the spinny ride, Love Mom. 👍👌❤️

A nice little park with two full-sized playground apparatuses. One is dedicated to the younger children while the other is for older children. The drive into the park is nice, I always think of the Beetles song 'The Long and Winding Road' while driving it. There's a small nature center and a wooden-bridge type walking trail - be careful... it's safe, just creeps me out with the spiderwebs that are sometimes in your path. A large pavilion with bathroom accessibility is next to the playground area and the soccer/football field. Parking can be tricky because you do not know what's going on until you get into the park area. I have never seen a park attendant all the years I've visited this park. The pros outweigh the cons with this park.

We had such a nice time walking around on the trails and visiting the nature center. It was just very peaceful and we enjoyed seeing the local flora and fauna. The staff at the nature center was so nice and friendly. The one blemish to our visit was a guy riding around on a moped who kept offering to sell us drugs.

Whoever is responsible for maintaining this park needs to be fired. Been coming here for years never looked so bad. Felt like was in cocoa not Merritt Island.

Beautiful gathering place, nature preserve, playground, and park. We had a blast at the Vegan thanksgiving event!
