Location
South
of
downtown
Miami
and
close
to
Metrorail
is
good.
The
place
is
a
little
dystopian,
however.
It's
an
aging
hotel
with
odd
architecture
and
a
center
courtyard
with
outdoor
pool.
It's
quite
a
confusing
maze
of
indoor/outdoor
corridors,
but
in
theory
there's
handicapped
parking
on
every
floor
of
the
creepy
multistory
garage.
You
can
roll
right
to
your
room,
or
directly
to
the
street
outside,
in
the
event
of
an
emergency...
*without
an
elevator*!
(There
is
one
but
don't
use
it
during
the
emergency).
Even
if
you've
prepaid
for
the
room,
there's
a
small
charge
to
park
in
their
garage
upon
arrival,
but
it's
worth
it,
as
the
attorneys
office
garage
the
next
street
over
also
costs
money
and
it's
falling
down.
Front
desk
has
to
buzz
you
in
to
the
garage
after
check
in
which
is
closed
off
by
a
prison-like
gate.
I
had
to
use
the
free
garage
at
the
medical
center
next
to
theirs
to
check
in,
because
the
street
parking
in
front
of
the
hotel
was
full.
Don't
park
there
overnight
though
as
you'll
get
towed.
There
are
many
parking
garages
in
this
block,
adding
to
the
confusion.
The
center
outdoor
courtyard
had
a
lovely
view
of
the
full
moon
the
night
I
was
there.
I
nearly
got
lost
in
my
own
room,
which
is
U
shaped,
and
wrapped
around
the
bathroom.
I
had
two
large
windows
which
overlooked
an
empty
lot
where
some
other
building
had
been
bulldozed.
And
a
view
of
a
tall
palm
tree
with
a
beehive
and
thousands
of
bees.
There
are
many
helpful
people
in
the
lobby
and
on
each
floor
who
can
direct
you
back
to
your
room
or
the
ice
machine
if
you
get
lost.
It's
almost
like
they
live
there
or
something
and
know
where
everything
is.
These
are
not
people
working
at
the
hotel,
but
when
the
hotel
staff
is
busy,
there's
always
somebody
there
to
show
you
the
way.
I
didn't
find
any
food
nearby,
but
I
would
not
have
wanted
to
have
food
in
the
room
anyway,
as
there
were
ants
everywhere
and
they
were
very
hungry.
Keep
in
mind
this
is
South
Florida
and
you
will
not
escape
bugs
no
matter
where
you
go!
These
were
ants
though,
not
bedbugs
or
roaches.
The
bed
was
comfortable
enough,
and
there
was
heat,
air,
hot
water
and
a
flushing
toilet.
There
was
a
fridge,
but
putting
sugary
sodas
in
it
would
have
surely
attracted
even
more
ants.
I
was
disappointed
the
wi-fi
did
not
work
anywhere
in
the
building,
most
likely
due
to
the
concrete
fortress-like
construction
of
it.
Despite
these
minuses,
it
was
nearly
all
I
needed
for
a
reasonably
priced
stop
along
my
journey.
Not
a
vacation
hotel,
so,
if
you
want
that,
you're
going
to
have
to
spend
way
more
in
Miami
and
go
somewhere
else.
