LA Fitness at Kendall Drive and the FL Turnpike. The gym was recently remodeled, they added a playground for functional fitness, removed some machines and added a few newer ones. Fortunately they didn't take any of the back machines which make this the gym of choice for back training. However they did remove one of the Smith machines that are always in demand and not for lack of space. Also they didn't change the cardio machines that are quite dated. They put new floors and paint but they left the locker rooms untouched with all the grime that have accumulated over the years, you would think that during the renovation they would have stripped clean the floors and showers but no luck, awful how they kept the unsanitary dirt there, totally insane. They did put new floors in the swimming pool area but again no deep cleaning of the sauna or steam room, no fixing of some of the showers that barely have water running. See the pictures for the contrast between the new floor at the entrance of the lockers and the old dirty one inside. To make things worse the gym doesn't have a male janitor and the cleaning ladies only go to the men's lockers a couple of times a day for the quickest of a job. Sorry to say it, this gym could be one of the best except for the lack of proper cleaning of the locker and bathrooms. What a shame!

"This gym is getting very overcrowded and there doesn't seem to be enough machines so let's convert a third of the floor area into synthetic grass and cram the remaining machines right next to each other!" Barely anyone goes to an LA fitness to do battle ropes and speed/agility drills, perfect way to alienate your regular consumer base. Should have spent the money remodeling/ fixing up the bathrooms instead!

The LA Fitness at Kendall is a mess. The steam room, which most of their centers have eliminated for economic and cost savings measure, has been out of service for over a month. Their remodeled Sauna has one tier sitting and fits 7 people at most. Unless one wants to get friendly. The showers are pure filth. The drain in the one that I showered at had enough hair to make a decent extension. Two of the stalls the shower spicket were not working properly. Gave up and did not check others. The wall scum on tiles I believe was alive. For you non believers, I took pictures.

The staff was very helpful and polite. The gym also looked very clean and organized.

There is no organization. Staff always on they phones. Nobody puts weights back to the rightful spot. Staff does not put weights back. Sadly enough I have to attend this gym because my company covers it. Basketball courts are always dusty. I myself have gone into the janitors closet to sweep it myself. I’ve been at the gym at 5 am in the morning at opening time and none of the weights are in order. I’ve been coming here for 13 years and complaining to the leaders. I hope corporate does a surprise visit. This is our home gym people need to help as well. Almost everyone that attends this gym has bad gym etiquette

This one is well Maintained and they have made good improvements throughout the years. An expansive cardio area if you want that. Good new squat racks as well and the smoothie spot is usually great as well. Parking isn’t the best otherwise would be a 5 star.

The only reason I enjoy this location is because of Jonathan. There is no success in this location without him! He always greets you with a smile and a wave as he makes every single member feel wanted and amazing! If there are ever any issues to arise he is quick with problem solving these issue. And now with this newly remodeled gym, this location is even better. If you have any doubts or issues, see Jonathan! He is truly the best!!!

An employee named Maria gave me excellent customer service and i hope to see her more often! She was huge help with giving me my subscription for the gym and was so passionate about her job! she did great! amazing gym and employees i plan to come more often!!

This gym is great and the bathrooms are well kept but the new stair master machines are always disgusting. Dried up sweat all over the sides of the machines. They can just use a mop to clean them.

The best LAFitness I have visit so far! Great training zone with plenty space, great workout zone with different machines and options for each one. And the staff is amazing, from the managers to the trainers. Ohh and the pool, sauna, whirl pool, and steam room are awesome... Very recommended!

Below average LA fitness compared to others I’ve been to across the country. Incredibly disorganized free weight area - nobody puts dumbbells back where they belong - making it time consuming to find the weights you want. For example: 60lb dumbbells in the 25 lb spot. Literally all the weights are out of place. Never seen anything like it. Not enough cable machines - have to wait a while to get access during peak times. The green turf field is pretty nice and kept clean.

In the morning it is packed with potbelly middle aged sleeveless men who hog 6 different weights to workout their arms. And naturally never put back the weights. In the afternoon it's packed with literal highschool kids that hog 6 people per machine.... And naturally never put back the weights. In the evening it's packed with all of the above. And they are charging $50 a month??!! I recommend you take that 50 and go find another local gym.

This club is amazing the staff is constantly walking around picking up the weights, very friendly and great customer service anything I need or any questions Laura, Paul, Johanna,Patty are always happy to answer my questions, I come here everyday to play racket all and use the spa facilities all the staff here work hard to keep the gym in shape especially the cleaning crew Anita and Mayte, And the Fitness staff is the best at giving great advice for fitness goals as I used to have heart problems and high blood pressure and with the guidance of the staff here I’m 100% healthier since I joined this club! I 100 percent recommend this location for anyone to come and start their fitness life! And yes the machines are a little bit beat up but corporate is already on top of that with our gym on the list to be taken care of maintenance wise!! Overall a great job here by the staff and the energy is amazing.

I enjoy LA Fitness so I applied for the opertation manager position. I had an appointment at 11am and called in earlier in the day to confirm the appointment but when I arrived they made me wait over an hour and still never got to me. I bit disappointed in the organization. Shouldn't schedule interviews when the time slot isn't available. I hope the girl you were interviewing gets the position.

This is a great place it has a lot of great machines and one of there assistance Maria was a great help with my membership n was one of the nicest workers there.

Mens bathroom needs more attention. They need to add the Jacob’s ladder machine like they once had. And update the machines in general. Stationary bikes are old. Elliptical as well. Other then that gym is big and has all the amenities one can want.

Front desk instructed to check apps to make sure you rate them on internal la fitness app, that the gym is clean. Not the first time I was asked to "see my phone" informed the front desk that this gym is filthy. For anyone who considers going here, just go straight to the locker rooms and restrooms. Filthy; they simply do not want to hire sufficient cleaning stuff. Cleaning staff is non existent. And they turn off air conditioning on 2nd flor

This LA fitness is the best one i’ve tried out so far. Perfect equipment for the exercises & super clean. The girl with the tattoos that works there was really genuine. Definitely recommend this LA fitness.

They have all the equipment that is really helpful. the girl with the cool tattoos helped me get a membership and gave me many good gym tips. i look forward to coming here and meeting the community.

Come here everyday a 6am get a great workout hardly any people and now it's open 24 hours MARIA IS THE BEST EMPLOYEE EVER!!!

Horrible service. I went in for a day to try out the gym & they charged me $20 and said I would have to try out another day if I wanted access to the free trial. Patricia wouldn't allow it. Definitely not coming back.

Just got my membership and the employees here are amazing. Very helpful and explained all there is to offer. Gym is neat and cleaned, isn’t jam packed like other gyms I’ve been to. Maria helped me out the whole time, she was amazing

Very clean, you constantly see the staff going around making sure that the gym is clean. Shame the customers don't pick up after themselves but it's nice to know the staff cares.

Good staff, a clean location. Some members abuse the time on the pool, don’t allow others to share lines, and spend hours without. I recommend placing a sign with maximum time as another LA Fitness does. Five Star.

This location is 100% better than the Miller Square location. Everything works. Jacuzzi and both saunas. Koodoos to the staff. I'm switching my location.

This gym was a mess, it was finally remodeled and now looks clean, but the machines on the second floor, Stairmaster are still broken, like always. Downstairs the machines are crowded. But the worst was something i had never seen before. To exercise with 7.5, 10 or 15 pound dumbbells I must leave my driver's license at the front desk. I found this out of this world and also disrespectful. I canceled my subscription with this gym.

The manager and staff are amazing people. I’ve known everyone that works here for years and I’d recommend anyone to Chris and Paul any day of the week.

I came to visit Miami for a week and Patricia let me try LA fitness for a week for free. I loved it here, especially the Sauna and the Cardio section. If I move to Miami, I’ll join this location for sure!!

I like to come to this gym feel like a family. Clean , the people are nicest , my friends enjoy the time together , I missed Conie one of the instructor , but I like body works classes .

One of the best L.A. Fitness locations in Miami. Now upgraded with crossfit area. The only lacking area is the mens restrooms. Management and the staff is great.

This is my home gym for over 5 years, always clean and well organized, Kevin is one of the newest members of their staff, very polite and professional, in my opinion one of the best gyms there keep the good work guys
