Had the best thing about this gym is the trainer James. He’s very detailed and knows his craft. Probably the best asset for planet fitness. Been to many planet fitnesses and the trainers don’t seem that qualified as him. He will definitely take you to the next level.

Although I have always had a great experience at this gym I am saddened and upset that they no longer have any trainers. I looked forward to going to see my trainer each week. He provided me with great workouts and great health advise. Please bring the trainers (James) back! Cutler Bay. The online classes are NOT the same as in person.

I travel across the United States and this Planet Fitness is by far the absolute best example of a stellar P.F.. Its nice to see a P.F. is such great condition. The staff was happy and engaged with you when you arrived. Hope they can keep up on the high standards P.F. is is known for.

Wanted to start the gym but always felt insecure about how i looked but really wanted to better myself both physically and mentally. I took a tour from a staff member named Melanie who did an amazing job showing me everything and got me started on my membership. I can say confidently i go the the gym everyday to work out and see change. All the people are nice to me and are fun to strike a conversation with since we are all there to better ourselves. Truly a judgment free zone.

I love the hospitality and warm welcoming vibes. Jorge and his team are impeccable. Emily front desk clerk she is a warm of sunshine. Both managers are amazing i believe jorge and luis. Sebastian is manager material no doubt. Antonia aswell. I say these names because they go above and beyond to make it a good and pleasant experience each time i come into work on my fitness goals ! Go team! Lol

I have been a member and have also been an employee at this Planet Fitness. I have experienced both sides of what it’s like to be in this environment. No gym is ever going to be perfect, but this one is ridiculously close to it. The staff members work hard and tirelessly to keep this gym maintained and up to standard for everyone that walks through those front doors. They have immense care for their members and strive to provide a smooth, and efficient experience for all. They’re the reason we all continue to have a safe place to go to for our personal improvement. Luis (General Manager), Jorge (Assistant Manager), and Sebastian (Shift Lead) are all top tier employees there. They’re very sociable, understanding, and respectful workers. Whatever the issue may be, you can rely on them to resolve it immediately. They definitely deserved their current positions. Clean gym, outstanding staff, great variety of equipment/machines. 100% recommend! :)

tried to cancel my membership service during covid and they wouldn't let me unless I came in person. I honestly forgot and was charged for months. finally went in last Nov and they said they cancelled it. find out they are still charging me. called my bank for a claim and stop payment. Now they are charging me under a different name. Horrible customer service and don't understand the word cancel.

All the staff are very friendly. The gym is super good. James the coach gives very good classes and accompaniment! It is very sad that there is so little availability, I signed up for this gym since they told me that I could take classes with him, but it is almost impossible to book a class with him! :(

closing at 9pm is bad idea. being S. Miami and busy city and work schedules... at 9pm everyone has to stop and leave while there is a lot of people in the gym and still coming in. ..maybe think of closing at 11pm better. some of my employees have reduce their gym time because of the hours you have and consider canceling... other wise great facility and clean.

Very clean facility with plenty of well maintained equipment and mostly friendly staff. My only complaint is people not respecting the 30 minute circuit area rules. Many people use the machines in this quick workout area as if there were no time limit. Some people sit on the machines scrolling through their phones and use the equipment to do sets. I wish the staff would monitor the PF 30 quick workout area and enforce the rules. Other than that, I don't think you can beat it for the price. It's a good value.

I love working out at this planet fitness, the service is awesome especially from Hilario and Jorge they are both exceptional employees. Gym is always clean and leaves me with a SAM DID feeling.

Staff is wonderful. They are always cleaning and they are very honest. I left sunglasses and AirPods on different occasions and they had them for me at front desk. The members are also very nice and respectful. Love my gym 💪

If the manager would take his/her job more seriously and fix machines in a timely manner. No machine should be broken for 6 or 7 weeks. The planet fitness in Cutler ridge is much better.

The best thing about this gym locations is definitely the staff. I really makes me look forward to my early morning workouts. Their friendliness, attentiveness and hard work to provide great customer service doesn’t go unnoticed. I’ve been going to this gym for almost 2 years now and to be honest, I like it more than LA Fitness. It’s much cleaner, newly renovated gym, it’s 24 hours (it’s open until 11 PM right now due to the pandemic), and all staff members seem happy/friendly — the customer service is good. I’ve also been training with James. he is super friendly, helpful, and very knowledgeable. Training sessions run around 30-40 minutes, but the kinds of work outs James shows you makes a huge difference.

I love this location! The staff always has a smile on their face and is so friendly and patient with you. I have spoken with Jared on multiple occasions and he has been more than willing to answer questions concerning my membership and fees. The equipment is always clean and whenever I’m there, I see staff wiping everything down periodically which is greatly appreciated. I will keep coming back.

Made an appointment with James at 7 am to have my first meeting with him and he did not show up. The staff's response was "yeah... sometimes he just doesn't come in for some reason." The machines and environment are nice but I specifically woke up at 6 am to meet James at 7 am only for him to be a no show and the staff just shrugged it off.

I love coming to this planet fitness, it’s super clean and the staff is the friendliest and most helpful out of all the gyms I have visited. Ask for Eli , he gives the most exceptional service. He is the greatest staff member in all the land! :)

Amazing place. Ima give you an example at how amazing this facility is. One of their people threw away my monster and water. Monster was a quarter to being empty. Water was a little over half way. Understandable, probably didnt see me in the stall using the toilet. They gave me a free water. Not expecting it everytime but that just shows the character of people working here. Which ultimately means they hire people who care which means the club/gym is always clean and amazing. Please dont disrespect this location as some have with leaving their feces on the toilet and such. Be respectful. They care here.

I cancelled my subscription with Planet Fitness at the end of September. One of the representatives that I spoke with advised me to freeze my contract until December. On November 17 they charged me again. It was not December yet. I don’t want to work out in this club anymore. They didn’t wait to complete the freeze period that was offered to me until December and charged me on November 17. I want my money back. Please return the money that was charged to my Bank account.

I did go on a Sunday, so I can't say what it's like during peak times during the week. But that being said, it was clean, and the machines seemed well kept. I live in Miami and own a vacation home about 30 minutes of this location. It's safe to say I will definitely return to this location when I'm at my home away from home.

Place is nice but I had to stop coming her because in the men's shower particularly the one at the end with the curtains I've seen mini worm like creatures on the floor. If you not careful it's very easy to miss... I'm questioning do they even clean the showers?

Im doing this review because I feel so happy doing the classes with James. I love the way that he help you to max out in the workout and I love the fact that he know what he doing. I had a trainer before and they were very bad because they just train you just to train. James is different he really love what he is doing and for me he is the best trainer. To tell you the truth, this is a good facility. The space is vast and has a lot of equipment. The app is good, tells you the people meter so you can choose at what time to go. The downside to this specific Planet Fitness is that they have many broken machines and in the spa, two out of 4 hydromassage beds are broken, they have been broken for two weeks now. I have the black card membership and I cant really enjoy this venue when there are more people. They have two machines that work legs out of order as well and the staff there, mostly females are not as frie dly and customer service focused. If fixing the equipments it's up to higher leadership.and management, go ahead and work on fixing the issue.

Great gym that is very clean and they have plenty of machines. I would give five stars but I’m giving it 4 because of the hours of operation.. I wish they would stay open later on Friday , Saturday and Sunday . They close too early those nights. They should at least stay open until 11 PM like Crunch does .

I personally enjoyed going to this gym as it is very clean and offered cleaning agents to clean the machines and weights. Most members clean the machines before and after use. The only down side is that there are some people who can hog the machines which impede on your own workout. So aside from running into those type of people (which can't be helped 🙃) it's a good gym for a good price.

Planet fitness (across the nation) is an awesome gym! We have the “Black” membership so we can use the gym anywhere. They are always clean, very good equipment and very reasonable membership fees. We have visited gyms in numerous states and Puerto Rico. We really enjoy the gyms, the relaxed atmosphere and the massage tables after a workout. Try out PF!

This review isn’t only for this location but for all planet fitness gyms. The 30 minute circuit is a joke. No one uses it how it’s supposed to be used. People go there to just use/hog the machines instead of doing the circuit. This is very annoying for people like me who actually want to do the circuit because when I have to use a machine in the circuit someone is hogging it. I brought this up to a young woman who works the front desk and she just said that it’s usually the newbies who workout there because they feel more comfortable since the space is away from the rest of the gym. I asked her if I should just ask people to move when it’s my turn to use one of the machines in the circuit and she just said “no one has ever brought this up.” The circuit is there for convenience and to be used as a circuit not a private workout area. It’s up to management to prevent people from using the area in a different manner. I’ve worked out in planet fitness gyms all over the country and I always see this problem. Planet Fitness HQ needs to come up with a solution to this issue. I understand how uncomfortable it feels to be a newbie at the gym and wanting a private space which is why PF should make a separate space that’s more private so people don’t workout in the circuit area.

Everyone is very helpful and motivational in getting you to your goals!! All the staff was very helpful, friendly, and easy to talk to!

The environment is super welcoming which is great for me because I was super nervous at first. I absolutely love the energy the staff has. The gym is always clean and looking organized. I especially love how they’re being really strict with enforcing covid policies like wearing your mask.

How is this place still open. The employees are rude and give attitude and do NOT enforce the mask policy AT ALL. Even the staff sometimes leave their masks under there chins for whatever reason. I would not recommend going here. I started attending Homestead and what a positive difference. The employees at homestead are amazing and they make sure to go out of their way unlike the employees here at cutler bay. DO NOT RECOMMEND !

I recommend that everyone with a membership takes a private training session with James. He is extremely patient and professional. James is very passionate about his job and will give you tips to aid you through your fitness journey.

I love going to this gym.its very clean and updated. The front desk team make you feel like home and James the trainer is very knowledgeable and professional. I definitely would recommend it to my friends.

I contacted Robert the GM to notify him that members were not wearing masks and when I confronted staff they stated they would not be "policing" members about masks. Robert offered at that time to cancel my membership instead of holding his staff accountable. I said I did not want to cancel my membership. Fast forward to today, I called and asked to cancel my membership and he says they absolutely NEVER cancel memberships over the phone. When I called about COVID concerns he wasted no time in offering to cancel me. His excuse is what if other members on my plan come in and I cancelled without their knowledge. I have nobody else on my plan. He also then turned around and denied the mask conversation he had with me ever took place and said all members and staff take the mask wearing seriously. I am completely grossed out by his blatant lies. Should have taken the cancel opportunity when he first offered it.

Dont like the rules at the gym and the lack of weights

Clean and organized. Mainly for beginners since weight and machines selection is vastly limited. Dumbells only up to 75lb and no bench press is seriously lacking but low membership cost offsets this.
