This Basketball League is AMAZING!!! We put our son in this league last season and it was the best decision we could have made so we enrolled him in the Fall League. The coaches, athletic staff and players are all wonderful. It promotes a healthy attitude towards completion, sportsmanship and physical activity. Part of the basketball enrollment fee includes access to the gym. In todays society when kids are not interested in sports or going outdoors (like my generation) this league excels in encouraging the kids to come out to practices and games. We have a great time on Saturday nights cheering our boys team. Great job YMCA for offering these healthy outlets for our kids to enjoy.

No pool, sauna, or steam room. There are a lot of treadmills and bikes. Double row and lat cable pull down, so that was nice. Didn't have to wait. Good variety of weights. Even duplicates of most used weights.

I love this gym! It's clean. The times I go it's not crowded. The people at the door recognize me! The staff is highly knowledgeable about working out to rehabilitate injuries. I am grateful for the employees who disinfect the machines. I enjoy the Zumba and strengthening classes and the ability to use either room when class isn't in session. The sitting area downstairs is comfortable. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this gym!

Dirty floors, obnoxious policy about locking up your purse. I understand not wanting to let people leave a bunch of bags on the floor but a personal item should always be allowed. The Y has started to feel like a police state

Great place, good for the community. Staff is always very friendly. I looked at the gym they have. Would totally workout here if it was closer to my house.

It is clean and good atmosphere. I cannot speak for the classes but if you are planning on using the gym equipment and free weights... good luck. The space is so small and it gets crowded. They now have a physical therapy room and has to packed the machines together. It used to be a nice a spacious place but now it is not.

They improved the facility and starting to provide more activities to families. Coming from California they still have a long way especially in customer service.

Love the upgrade! I have recently been much more driven to work out at the YMCA, mainly because the cardio and weight lifting areas have been renovated. The place even got new flooring. The machines are new and in great working order. The cost of membership is much better than other local gyms in the area and everyone who works there is very approachable and friendly.

I've been billed for two months from this facility without ever being a member. Almost 4 years ago I cancelled my membership with the YMCA after the homestead branch closed down. I have never even set foot in this facility, yet somehow, 2 months ago, a membership was activated for me at this facility and I was being billed as a member, even though I now live a few hundred miles north. How did I not notice? Well, 1 digit of my phone number was incorrect, and 1 digit of my email was incorrect, which is odd, considering my previous contact information with the Y was correct, as I have email correspondence from the previous branch still with my correct info. I have requested multiple times for management to correct this issue, and have been told my membership was cancelled (though it shouldn't ever have begun), and have yet to receive a refund for either month I was billed, though I was told 1 of the two refunds was processed. After multiple phone calls, and email to management, I have still not been contacted back by the YMCA to explain how this was possible, apologize, or show ANY attempt to rectify what amounts to either fraud or at the very least negligence of privacy and record keeping of previous member's personal and financial information. For a nationally recognized organization, this is appalling.

I really enjoy working out here- from cardio to Weights, spin and yoga classes. Clean facility including locker rooms However aging equipment should be swapped out and the floor upstairs replaced.

Basketball Academy has been great for my son, hes learnt quite a lot in the short time he has been attending. Brandon as a personal trainer has been amazing. Very patient, professional and knowlegable. Highly recommend him as a trainer and he brings the added value of helping with my diet!

Just redid the whole place and it looks very professional. Upgraded all the equipment and floors. Staff members are also very kind. This being said, this gym will close for the day without notice, and you might be left driving over when it is “open” online and it is actually closed.

No one answers phone at this location. Bad customer service. People at the front desk are rude and nasty. They do not care about the guest. I will never go there again.

Really would benefit from more programming for older adults. More volunteer positions and events to engage local community are needed. Everything seems to be geared toward children. The gym itself is fine!

Nice! Could use more mats and 8-20# weights in the open rig CrossTraining area and one TrX in proper working order. Was twisted and not adjustable. Woah had a pool! Nice and clean and formerly staff! Lots of equipment elsewhere!

First of all, the facility and the people are fantastic. The condition and variety of the equipment and the spaces are top notch. The teachers and the range of programs, activities and events are also just about unmatched by any other organization in the community. I feel fortunate to live so close to the Y and have easy access to all of these things.

If you're coming to the ymca to lift weights look elsewhere. The gym offers limited equipment and compact area for weights that can get very crowded at times. However, the people are nice.

The employees don’t care for the members. They do what they want and not in the best interest of the members. If you dare suggest something they shoot yiubdown and saw your”that will never happen”. Proper response would be I will look into it and see if that’s possible.

Been using the sports programs there for years. It's very difficult difficult catering to each and every parent as parents are extremely demanding. Samantha and coach John do a great job up running the show!

The facilities are clean, employees are so friendly, and there’s more than enough equipment. I can’t wait to try out the many classes that come with the membership as well!

Wonderful, friendly atmosphere for the Children. The Summer, Day and Afternoon camps are well organized and the activities during the year, cater to the interests of those from kinder to teenagers. This YMCA location is professionally administered and all the relevant parties in charge are very accessible and return emails and phone calls promptly.

I ordered the original bowl with chicken. I didn't know it only comes with chicken and rice. All the extra vegetables tomatoes, lettuce, cheese, carrots, onions cost me 1.50 and .50 per vegetable they don't say anything to me.

It is a very safe place and it is a closed place , which is very good because in bad weather , the children always have their practices and their games .

We have been members of the Y since we moved to Miami 30 years ago, and thus far my wife and I (and our two daughters who now reside in NYC and L.A.), have used and enjoyed the facilities, mostly the Gym. We have had great trainers that have been excellent and helped us improve and achieve our goals.
