Sister had a wedding reception here and this place was God awful. I would never recommend this place to anyone. 1st, the set up was supposed to be tables of 8. They did tables of 10. The bride and groom table was supposed to be a table of 6 and no such table existed. I was told the alcohol was suppose to start at 7 and when we went up there, they told us no, that it was at 8. So we told the groom who informed us that they paid for thr extra hour of liquor service, so he had to tell the manager, who, btw, was beyond rude. The speakers hanging up in the corners of the venue continually crackle while music is playing...much like white noise. The food was dry and beyond bland that we had to ask for salt and passed the salt around to other tables. When it came to cake time, my sister and brother in law forgot the cake plates, so they sent someone to get them. When we asked the venue to use their forks, they said they didn't have any. UH... what did we just eat our bland dinner with??!?!? So we had tongo buy those as well. And to top it off, one of thr waitresses was wearing a different event center uniform....not even a ballis shirt!!! All their plates and utensils didn't match. Every plate was supposed to get 2 pieces of bread, and only got 1. They didn't serve the bride and groom first and women at tables were not served first as proper etiquette would suggest. I highly recommend you take your business elsewhere. I hope my sister paid next to nothing for this place.

Everything sounded great when we signed our contract. They were hard to get a hold of after that unless we stopped in to their main "office" when we needed something. They were horrible about returning calls. We went in to make a final payment & go over our setup one more time 8 days before our event, but they could not take debit card payments. It had to be by phone. We talked to the "tia" in charge of that venue & a gentleman named Joey and locked in the setup details as we were having our ceremony & reception all there. The day of, the place was not set up for a ceremony. No aisle of chairs, just dinner tables all over our supposed dance area. I explained it to the girl there who said she was only hired to serve food. She gave me the "tia's" number to talk to her. She argued she never agreed to that. She even said she never talked to me. I had to remind her of the whole conversation. I hung up angry & started to dial the owner's while the girl continued to debate what was possible when Joey came in, in a hurry. I reminded him of our conversation & he remembered all the details, but was assigned to another venue. He hurried to remedy the situation, telling the girl what they would do(exactly as we previously agreed) and she argued with him about the way he was doing it and TOLD him to do it her way as she is in charge(not just serving food.) It went back & forth until he was visibly upset and stormed out to get the bride & groom chairs. Her response was to tell him she was calling her mom on him. He came back & set up as she had instructed, which meant people sat at the tables we hoped to reserve for our closest family as Joey & I had previously discussed. The female staff members were very rude to several of our guests over whether they would be served or not since we forgot to order pizzas(since I was doing setup until guests arrived. ) I had to argue with her to get the situation rectified. As if this wasn't enough, my wife & I had 2 special plates since I am extremely allergic to mushrooms. They served us regular plates and I took a bite before I saw a huge piece of mushrooms. Thankfully my kids had Benadryl on hand and an Epipen. I didn't use the Epipen, but the Benadryl left me so groggy the rest of my wedding day. They brought us our real plates and picked them up after we got 1 bite each & got up to take pictures. I don't intend to ever use any of the Balli venues again despite the fact that we had already planned to reserve their largest venue for our son's & niece's graduation party this coming summer. All in all, Joey was the only staff member that seemed to care to make our special day what we wanted & expected it to be. Thank you Joey.

A nicely appointed, intimate ball room. They have catering available for your event, but it's definitely meant for smaller affairs as it can only fit about 80 people, max.

An excellent place to host a bridal shower!

The service here is very lacking. The servers here told me I couldn’t sit at a table in the back because the organizer had asked specifically not to use those tables. After asking for permission from the organizer, the servers still denied me the table and even changed their reason. I wanted that table because the table I was assigned to had no space for me. The tables are very small and they try to fit as many people per table for no reason. Overall, the service was very disappointing.

Good environment needs more bathrooms but over all nice

We've had many events with Arron Balli. The service is great and the food is plentiful and of top quality. I recommend his social centers to my clients all the time!

It was a nice place very wonderful. I am not sure of the catering is included with the package but the manager was super rude we had the ceremony and reception there and she was having a manager meeting with the people very loud during the ceremony. Very rude

Very nice place, food was delicious and plentiful, Mr Balli is always there to oversee the event and needs of the attendees. I highly recommended it for a graduation or a small wedding.

I used Balli's to cater our wedding on 040916 and we could not have been more happy with our choice. Although the guest interaction was not the best as far as having the owner take time to speak with us or not rush us through the process, the food and service more than made up for lack of people skills. The food was delicious and we got nothing but compliments from guests to that effect. There were some stories about the servers trying to take table favors which was weird but that didn't bother me at all, that's why they're placed on the tables. The woman who was assisting my husband and me was very attentive and obliging and very courteous. She made sure that we were served our plates when we were ready so as not to allow the food to get cold and she even arranged the cake table with table favors to add to the visual effect so that it looked better for our pictures with our cake. Unfortunately, I did not get her name or I would let everyone know to request her to be in charge the day of their event. The price was very reasonable (considering that KOKO'S in McAllen had quoted me $7000 for the same kind of food, number of guests and other services provided, Balli's cost was a steal!) for the value that we received. My husband and I are very happy with our choice.
