πŸ‘ We went there for a butterfly and insect festival. It was so much fun and the kids had a blast. The semester of community there is really amazing at the artisan crafts were top notch. If you see an event.....go if you're looking for a community to live check it out. People often mention park, beautiful, stay,

We have been coming to Oleander for six winters now and consider it our home in South Texas. The park is an older established park that offers beautiful views of our sunsets and sunrises. The lots are nice with beautiful trees and shrubs, many which bloom through out the season. They have a beautiful butterfly garden which they are expanding on. The staff are friendly and helpful and many have become friends and seem like family. The park does not have a pool but it does offer many other amenites, gatherings for holiday meals, games, socials, a weekly music jam, trips to interesting places around the valley and other forums for entertainment. It is located on the outskirts of Mission Tx. and has the feel of being in the country. We have seen many species of wildlife in the fields around the park and some beautiful birds that are normally not seen in larger city parks. We look forward to our time here each year.

What a lovely RV park! My girlfriend and I stayed here for two nights (tent camping). It was always quiet at night, the bathrooms were clean, the people were friendly, welcoming, and helpful. They seemed to always have events for the longer tenants/residents of the park, which seemed to be popular. I would highly recommend this park to anyone passing by.

We really love Oleanders. It has everything a person looking to relax needs. There is a library, billiards hall, butterfly garden and the family that runs it is so sweet. We have been there multiple times and will be back for many more.

New management is extremely rude. So much so that my family has decided to move away and countless owners around us have also asked for advice on movers because they too are looking to move away. The measures they’ll go to in desperate attempts to get money is very concerning. I’d stay away and look elsewhere. So many nicer locations with respectful professionals.

My favorite place to stay in the RGV. The rentals are clean and come with all the amenities (I especially enjoy the quality of the towels and bedding). The onsite butterfly garden is a home run every time! I always get awesome pictures πŸ¦‹πŸŒΈ I enjoy the variety of activities offered and have met so many people from all over. Oleander Acres RV Resort has something for everyone from tent camping to mobile homes and all the options in between β›Ί 🚐

I got lucky. Arrived on a wet, cold day coming from Austin and stopped at the Love's Truck Stop in Edinburgh on the north side to research where I would start my full-timing adventure. Never been to the Texas Valley area and was looking for a reasonable price. I had a list of three spots based on a Google maps search of the area. I happened to call Oleander Acres first due to the fact that they had a deal where the first 2 night stay would be credited to a longer stay - sounded good to me. Read somewhere that you don't want to commit to a long term before trying a night or two so I chose the two night stay. The next day I drove around the area to see what else was available and realized that the location on the south side of Mission was away from highway noise and since my first nights were pleasant I opted for a month. It is not listed as a 55+ community, but it is low key w/o few kids running around. Many permanent park models, nice meeting hall, and helpful staff. Met some really nice neighbors, and as I was down on the south end at one of the last spots (#377) it was rather secluded. Just got back from a stroll through the community garden where vegetables were growing - reminded me of the gardens at Sun City in Georgetown where I came from. And then I discovered the Butterfly Garden with all the native plants well signed. What a beautiful place, and it shows that the private ownership cares. No pool, no shuffleboard or pickleball courts, but plenty of organized events if that is your thing. Currently, the monthly rate is $420, so less the 2-night credit had me in for $320 for the month plus electricity (a bit spendy at 0.18 per KWH). After that it is $20/night for a partial month....reasonable. I am a happy camper.

What a friendly Staff, Close to shopping but very quiet surroundings. Loved the Butterfly Gardens and all the different trees and bushes that make it just a beautiful place to stay. We stayed in one of the rentals and were very pleased with it.

πŸ‘ I started coming to this park 10 years ago and enjoyed it for several years. Then at one point it had issues that caused me to leave. After being gone 3 years the issues went away, and I came back. This is not the biggest or the best, but it is the friendliest in the valley. Come join us for some fu...
