We got there during lunch time and the line moved by efficiently and the wait wasn’t too bad.

Great addition to South Bay. It is interesting when there was only one Marugame udon at SF, I never visited it. I visited that on just last year. This place is smaller than the one at SF. We arrived when they just opened, and lines are building. It took a while to get to our turn. We ordered tan tan udon, curry udon and tempura. We also ordered the fruit drink. it seems like the tempura options also lesser than the on at SF. The tan tan tan is vegetarian and the meat look like from tofu. They are yummy. You have to wait until you ordered and paid before you can find a seat. the Worker is monitoring that. One thing need to be improved is the restroom. It ran out of paper, and no one is available right away to reflll it.

Food was great! Went on a Friday around 1pm and it was fairly busy. We waited in line for about 15 minutes before we ordered. Ordering is a cafeteria style. You place your order and then one person warms up your plate and the noodles, another adds the broth and toppings and then puts your order on a tray that you slide past a self serve section of fried options all the way to the cashier. You take your tray to an open table and then clean your own table. Wouldn't say anyone was particularly friendly and enthusiastic but also not rude. I got the miso udon which was great and I'd come back for it.

cafeteria style Udon where you get served on a plate and can add your own optional tempura Ala carte. relatively cheap by 2023 standards. it's a winning formula and as long as they keep the kitchen well oiled this is probably one of the best quick lunch places in the area.

This place serves udon and variety of tempura. I like their Tonkotsu udon with creamy broth, chashu pork and egg. They also have Udon with dashi broth and with miso broth. They can be made spicy or sweet depending on the type of meat you prefer to add on it. Rice dishes are also available. They have both indoor and outdoor seating.

A great comfort food spot for the cooling weather. I seldom get udon at other Japanese spots so it’s really nice coming to a place where udon is the star of the show! You can even see them make the udon from the line, it was so good fresh! I like that the menu has variety but it also wasn’t too big. I ordered just the udon (no meat or extras) so that I could pick a variety of tempura instead! The line was cafeteria style where you order your noodles first and then self serve the tempura after. The chicken tempura was really good and I also really liked the zucchini! There is additionally a condiment section to add some ginger, spice, and get your own tempura sauce after you check out. They also have small takeout containers in this area. I got a large bowl and was able to have some leftovers for the next day. Self seating and also self bussing, everything was pretty intuitive.

Marugame you've done it again. Somehow each and every location offers the same exquisite quality of fresh chewy noodles as the base for their endless combination of broths and toppings. Even though they're in their soft opening until 6.5.23 theyre already running at full capacity. Don't let the long lines deter you. It moves fast and is worth the wait. There's plenty of seating available indoor and outdoor.

The line can be intimidating but think of it as the post-order wait time that one might see at a burger joint or fast food spot, since you get to eat immediately after paying. After getting there before 11:30AM on a Saturday, we waited about 15-20min in line then finished our meal fairly quickly so we were in and out after 30 minutes. Really impressed at the quality of the food given how many orders they're cranking out. The onsen egg was just a hard boiled egg, but I could overlook that since the udon broth is great. Tonkatsu was my favorite. The sliced beef one isn't as yummy as the entire bowl of soup tastes like straight up gyudon sauce. Tempura is hit or miss (sweet potato was really really dry, while zucchini and shrimp great). But overall, much better udon than one can find at a typical Japanese restaurant and the dining space is really clean, bright, and not too noisy despite the number of people inside.
