Generous portions and excellent poke for a reasonable price! Pictured is the large bowl. This place is the only place I have tried in the bay that has come close to the poke I had on Oahu. Less rice, more fish than you would expect. Seasoning is great without being too saucy. COVID procedure: you fill out a form at the door of the supermarket (the poke bar is inside Ava's Market & Deli) and place the form at the till. People generally wait outside until their order is ready. It was just one guy at the counter fulfilling all orders on a Sunday afternoon and this guy moved fast! I'll be back the next time I'm in MV :)

A great little poke bar, tucked away inside Ava's grocery store. They have build your own options, as well as about 5 house made options. I always go for the firecracker, can't go wrong!

Decent poke with fresh salmon and tuna. Maybe I chose the wrong combo but the sauces didn’t deliver the right punch. Small size was good enough for a very hungry person. Would like to try their other options.

Probably the best Poke I've had in the Bay Area, which is surprising given how it's in a little corner of some supermarket in Mountain View. I ordered a large (three scoops of albacore, tuna, and octopus). The fish didn't taste frozen or at least was prepared really well. The extra ingredients were quality too. I added mostly everything (jalapenos, mangos, masago, etc.) and everything complemented each other real well, as is poke wont to do. The house sauce was not available but I improvised with ponzu and sweet chili and the combination was sublime. ここの食べ物は本当に美味しいです。The food here is really delicious. It's a little bit pricey for poke but having visited sub par poke joints before I think it's forgiveable. I love the area too where you can casually sit and bask in the Mountain View sun, great little stop for my lunch on a Wednesday. Nice to grab a drink at the supermarket (unfortunately cannot consume the alcohol you buy here though). Note to the owners: Please ensure that no riffraff loiter in your toilets. Some dude who just slipped from the alley out back took way to much time in there. Thanks 🙏

Look no further, the best poke bowl in Mountain View is this one. The cut of the fish is correct. The sauce tasted homemade. In comparison with others around here, this definitely on top.

Got introduced to a poke bar by my daughter in LA. Love love love their bowls. It's become my go to place to eat something clean with a lot of protein.

I am a regular here and normally get Poke at least once a week and have been doing so for about 3 years at least. However, over the past few months, I continuously got the impression that there was a significant drop in freshness and quality. Today was the last straw and I unfortunately am unlikely to return and i caution folks if you don't want to risk falling sick. 1. Questionable freshness of the seafood. I went for a simple Salmon / Tuna combination that I always do and it tasted more fishy (stale) than usual. I stopped after a couple of bites as I was worried from a health and hygiene perspective. 2. Shortage of veggies : For someone picking up lunch at 12:15. They were out of onions, jalapeneos, wasabi and fresh ginger. The person serving gave me a random shrug when I asked if they have some in the fridge, i did not mind waiting. For a venue that charges a premium, this is unacceptable 3. Reduction in portion sizes - the medium bowl used to have more rice and better scoops of seafood. Both have reduced in quantity. Overall, this place used to be amazing. It's taking a turn for the worse and Im sad to see this as it's been my regular staple for years.

Missing rice and avocado when specified both rice and spring mix. Small amounts of toppings, but fish quality is not bad.

This place used to be amazing. I think they've changed the owners or management of the vendor, but since the quality of ingredients isn't what it used to be. The tuna, scallops and salmon aren't as fresh tasting as before. We still go back from time to time wishing it's the same as before but it's consistently not as good. Shame really.

Poke Bar is conveniently located on Castro Street inside of a supermarket. On any given day, you’ll find people passing through to pick up their online orders, but they’ll gladly take your order in person too. For Mountain View standards, the poke is pretty solid, but not amazing. The portion size is good, the toppings are generously sprinkled on, and most importantly, the fish tastes fresh. Poke Bar also periodically puts out new items, which is a nice touch. My only complaint is that I wish they didn’t use the paper boxes (I mean, if it’s more sustainable I guess that’s okay), because it causes the rice to stick to the box, which is frustrating and potentially wasteful.

I got a small bowl and it was plenty for lunch, I felt very satisfied. Super fresh ingredients. The raw salmon melted in my mouth. I never had raw octopus, I tried it and the texture wasn’t my favorite. The kale noodles were really unique, they had a nice chew and flavor to them. I asked for a sweet and salty sauce and the worker mixed too sauces for me and it tasted very good. He was really nice. $20 all together with a drink. You choose your base which can be up two things, up to two proteins and as many toppings as you like. It’s a takeout counter within a grocery store and there are tables outside.

The poke was awesome. It's a hidden gem in the downtown. Great portion and taste.

I love getting poke from this place inside Ava’s Market in downtown. Their spicy sauce is amazing. I also enjoy being able to grocery shop for a few essentials while waiting for my order to be made

It was good. A little thin on the protein options and the amount you get. But it was tasty and fun. There was lots of Boba tea options and what I got was really good too.

Pretty good poke for the south bay. Inside one of my my favorite grocery stores, so just usually stop by for a quick bite after shopping. The fish is good quality, but they have some weird toppings. Like pineapple chunks, 🤔. The staff is great, and the order process is quick, similar to a salad bar. But you don't do it yourself. Get it? Overall, a good selection of poke. 4/5 stars!

I love the staff here! They are always friendly and helpful, and they really make you feel welcome. Their poke isn't as authentic as it should be—it's more like a California-style take on Hawaiian poke. That being said, I do think they do a good job of providing healthier options. I mean, they serve salmon! They can do a better job providing more variety on vegetables. Their food is fast and fresh, so it's perfect for lunch or a quick dinner on your way home from work. It's also great if you're in a rush because there's no wait time whatsoever—you can get in and out in about 5 minutes.

I was pleasently surprised by the food here, specially since it's inside a grocery store. The ingredients were fresh and the portion well aiWs for the price. Good place to eat if you're looking for something not too heavy.

Has quality gone down or just new person need more training? I ordered three bowls and all were soaked in sauce. Fish doesn’t taste as fresh as used to be. What happened?! Very disappointed.

First-time visit to this downtown Mountain View pokebar, located in a small supermarket. You order and pay on a screen in front of the bar. It may take a couple minutes to complete the transaction if you want to personalize your order, which I did want to do. My order was prepared in about 5-10 minutes, and it was delicious, and reasonably priced. A $20 large bowl was just right for two people.
