I couldn't believe the place was open, no light in the shower (nearly a dungeon), the floor was unleveled, baseboard wasissing in several areas, no covers on light switches, filthy carpet in the hallway. Was all out creepy people even had rooms there... I looked at a couple and they were just horrible honestly. They refunded the money and the service guy was good.

I went into this place to check rates for a week and possibly a month. I asked for a business card or pamphlet, they didn't have any. Then I asked if I could use a washroom and he laughed, shook his head and said no, we do not have any public restrooms. I said I need to rent a room for a week or possibly a month, he says no. Not good. I will never step foot in a red roof again. That was actually the first and the last time.

My room is dirty and smells very bad. Lobby smells like marijuana. Bathroom walls and shower curtain are filthy. This level of quality should be illegal in my opinion. Luckily the bedsheets were decent otherwise, i would have canceled my stay. I know it only cost me $70, but honestly, I'd rather pay double for a clean and comfortable place. I had a bad experience with red roof before in North Carolina and today I decided to give them a second chance in Chicago and it was worse. Im a truck driver and i use hotels a lot but I will never ever use red roof again in my entire life.

Cigarette burns and stains on bedsheets Worst place I've ever stayed in. Cigarette burns in the bed, stains all over the sheets. Ac unit falling out the wall. Tv broken. Even cigarette ashes in the sheets, so obviously not cleaned. Hair and piss all over the bathroom. House cleaning came 10 minutes before checkout to try and get us to leave as we were packing up. Not sure what the rush is since they clearly don't clean the rooms anyway. Front desk was very nice, recommended places to eat, but even warned us the rooms will probably smell. Management needs to step it up. I've paid the same price for much nicer hotels in the actual city. Don't stay here if you can avoid it.

So I booked this place over the phone thinking would be ok, once arrived to get the key. The parking lot full of guys smoking weed, the people from the second floor ghetto, dirty just starring down at the parking lot. Walked into the lobby all the guys looking and pointing towards me like they never seeing a girl (mind you I’m 33 weeks pregnant) the car parked next to me had broken windows. It was ghetto and a scary place !!. Will never stay there I went in there just to cancel my reservation. I rather pay more and stay in a better place to wake up to broken windows or my car missing. Not kid friendly for sure !!

Will never stay here again. The floors were filthy and sticky, needed to wear my shoes before walking on it. Lots of dents in the main door like someone kicked it. Bathroom had a dead bug on the wall, slower rod falling off the wall, looks like bathroom door was kicked in and would not close all the way with door jam broken. Would give 0 stars if given the option.

I booked through a 3rd party and I would never come here again. They don’t even let people in the lobby during the day. All windows are so dirty you can barely see through them. The first room they gave me smelled like smoke and I didn’t even feel comfortable enough to lay any of my belongings down. The sheets and comforters was dirty. Whole foot marks on there. The walls were nasty. There’s trash all over the parking lot. I asked to exchange a different room and this room was a little cleaner but when I went to inspect the bathroom it was a dead roach in there. I immediately asked to leave. They wouldn’t even give me a full refund even though I didn’t stay in either rooms. Definitely need to make a call to get this place shut down. The filth is beyond me. -5 stars. Don’t stay here

so like the sheets are clean which is good but immediately it’s clear the floor is mopped with the dirty water. the smell was such that i didn’t even eat inside. it’s no smoking but there are several burns and cigarette holes in my sheets. and the bathroom well i’ll post pics of the shower and tbh even the front door and walls everywhere are just filthy. i don’t understand why. like it takes no time at all to rinse out a shower or wash a stucco wall. at least the front desk staff is nice but i have to wait until morning to do anything so i guess i’m supposed to clean up someone else’s hair out of the shower and i gauruntee when i ask about it they’re gonna say i already slept here they don’t care. oh and like half the lights don’t work. that’s not an exaggeration. literally half the lights in this room don’t work. here’s my rule of thumb as i’ve been traveling a while. if the groundskeeper/maintenance person lives on the property and introduce themselves to you “in case there’s any problems” you’re about to have some problems and they are not going to get fixed.

The room looks ok for the first impression. Later on when I lift up the beddings a big yellow/brown spot got my attention. Apparently nobody didn’t clean or replace any sheets because you stain was still stinking and it was wet. After taking the sheets off I turned out the mattress was infested and wasn’t replaced in years. The Red Room should really be red because someone should burn that place to the ground.

Good lucky if you’re looking at the pictures My room was dirty, sheet was dirty with a lot of hair, I walk 1/2 miles to a dollar tree to buy stuff to spray and clean the room myself. I ask for clean sheets but I didn’t get good sheets but rough ones. Rate show $60 and the front desk charge $90 for a dirty room.

Someone had been climbing into my room from outside. You can see slide hand prints on window. Window was open when got there . First floor in back . Bed sheets n towels were dirty . Trash pieces all over the floor . Sheetrock had holes. A true dump

This review scale needs a zero star option. This is a room I spent $118 to stay in last night. The first room I was given, the key card opened the door but it was very obvious there were occupants using that room. When I went up to the front desk and advised them of the situation, I was given the room next door. At 4:30 in the morning, there was furious banging at my door telling me I was in here illegally and they were going to call the police on me. So I laid in bed for 2 hours wide awake and nothing ever came of it. The refrigerator was defrosting itself (that's the giant chunk of ice) l guess, as there was moldy water all over the floor as you can see on the towel I used to wipe it up. There are two c-clamps holding onto the the front portion of the wash basin area. The bathtub is rife with mold and filthy and they must have locked a dog in the bathroom because the door/trim is all scratched up. The desk chair should have been abandoned long ago and there's a giant hole in the wall right next to the heating cooling unit. I can't tell if it's insect eggs or crumbs in every single drawer. The only reason I stayed is my night driving is difficult and the Airbnb was in an unfamiliar area. Location is handy, and M and the desk is accommodating, but those things are meaningless at a dive motel like this

When I arrived to this facility when my company booked my room, I didn't second guess that the room would be the way it is, didn't do any research and thought the rooms were more given attention to any tidiness! However though, the service I needed for my TV was perfect, the etiquette of customer service was well. H I'm not good with names but I saw this guy trice and if you get the reservation during the evening of the weekdays, he's a good dude! So if you read the reviews, bravo!

Never stayed at a Red Roof Inn before. When called to check availability, there were plenty of rooms ready from what I was told. When we arrived, we went in to be sure the rooms were ready to be occupied and was told yes. After paying for the room and receiving the keys as soon as I opened the door, the rooms stunk and weren't clean. The carpet was black and wasn't cleaned for years. The room doors didn't work right, and it had stained bedding. Went back to the front desk and asked for another room they said sorry, no rooms available. I said ok, then give me my money back. Then all of a sudden rooms became available. Looked at a total of 4 more, and the condition to these rooms seemed to get worse and worse. I said I'm done with looking at any more rooms that I want my money back and take my business elsewhere. I had asked the front desk if I was the manager of their place and you wanted to rent a room, Would you rent in the current conditions of the rooms? The front desk said no. I said, "Then why would you expect anyone else to do the same? Took my business somewhere else.

This hotel is so nasty we got to this hotel because all the other hotels were sold out when they gave us the room it was filthy. We asked if we can have service they didn’t give us service. We asked if we can have another room. They waited till the next day to try to give us another room, but we couldn’t go look at it because we had a funeral to go to, they kept calling my phone while I was in a funeral. They made us feel unsafe Do not go to this hotel. We have Videos on how the room look.

A bit too much noise through badly sealed door (that was evidently bent but looked like it held up to whomever was trying to get in proving it is a secure door) and suspicious brown streak on bathroom wall... but towels and sheets clean... boxspring under matres would definitely benefit from some cleaning though. But didn't find any infestation and nothing got stolen from car outside so if you don't require 5star hotel you can stay there....

Terrible terrible terrible My family came in the roomand noticed stains on the bed, food under the mattress, the bottom of a gun clip, the floor boards were not sealed and housekeeping took an hour and a half to change our sheets. People were drunk in the hall way, and the hotel clerk gave a woman a key to someone hotel room without asking for her Identification. None of this is worth 135 dollars for one night. My family and I left Sunday and no one called me back. Today is about to be Tuesday. Terrible. Terrible. Terrible. There's more photos, I'll upload if allowed to.

Mostly quiet, except during cleaning hours. So sleeping during the day can be rough. Was a little disappointed as they never once came to check on our room for towels or toilet paper, and we were there for 5 nights. Clean though, beds comfortable. Just would've been nice to have clean towels and not have to steal toilet paper off the cleaning cart in the hallway.

We made our reservation for a room with 2 beds. We received a call asking if we would switch to a single king bed instead. We told them no thank you, we need both beds due to bringing a child with us. The guy sounded upset with us and kept asking why it mattered. After we hung up he cancelled our reservation!! We got to the hotel and we were told that we didn’t have a reservation. We showed them the confirmation email and the money that had been taken from our account. They refused to do anything for us. Not happy!!

Decent rooms. But they really need to change their towels. If a customer can see stains on the towels, bed linen, or bathtub that hasn't been cleaned, that is a room for improvement. 😒😊

First thing i noticed when checking into the room 403 the smell, the room needed air fresher smelled like someone had smoked pot in the room keep in mind this is a non- smoking room, also woke up at 2 am to a roach crawling at the top of the bed this is a dealbreaker for me i retreated from there. This hotel is located by a convenience store and liquor store area was fair overall i would not recommend.

The stay was terrible! The smell when you walk inside smells like urine. The room was filthy. There was floor boards coming up that were sharp. The bed looked like the sheets were never changed and there was brown stains all over it. There was mold all over the shower and even the shower curtain was filthy and stained. My spouse went to use a cup that was provided and a dead bug fell out of it… I will never come back here and it certainly was not worth the $100 I spent.

The bathroom door looked kicked/punched in (there was a hole), it smelled faintly of cigarettes, the bed sheets and pillows did not look cleaned, there were random splatters on the wall, and it was also hard to lock the door. The $100/night wasn't worth it. I was looking for a place that wasn’t too run down looking or sketchy and nothing too expensive. I thought this would have been good, but I was sadly mistaken.

Not a very comfortable facility. No phone service to room. Not very clean by industry standards. No TV working in room for one full day of a 2 day stay. The young man working reception was very professional, nice and polite. However, this location needs lots of work to meet industry standards, not to mention company standards.

I wish to give them -10. Heat unit doesn’t work while it’s 28 degrees outside. Called the front desk and they were not accommodating at all. Didn’t even try to find a solution for us. All they said was you can take your money and go. As I’m leaving my room to check out the next morning, we found out they had portable heaters that we could have used which was a little too late. Additionally, there was no iron, no hangers, and the coffee machine doesn’t work. And when you ask front desk to help they said we are not doing that anymore. Do not stay here. Find somewhere else.

Very dirty, room visibly dirty with cigarette butts and garbage. Requested for a fourth pillow but never got it despite spending two nights and asking the reception several times. Only one towel provided. Tub was clogged up and so was the sink. Do not stay here.

Disgusting!! Used to be the old D-Lux Budget Motel, havent been here since Red Roof Inn bought the property. I HAD A BETTER STAY WHEN IT WAS THE D-LUX BUDGET! Absolute minimal property upkeep and I don't believe this is actually a Red Roof Inn property. Woke up at 6am NO HOT WATER! Went to make coffee in hotel coffee machine... Disgusting black mold in coffee maker water holder. Front desk worker Hannah told me there was nothing she could do, and to wait to see if the water got hot. Lol Customer service at its finest... Let an executive at Red Roof come stay in one of their Alsip, IL properties rooms, it wouldn't keep the Red Roof logo for long unless some MAJOR changes happen. Wish I stayed somewhere else and had a hot shower🙁

My employer booked this place because the pictures online don't look bad at all but when I got there it was the dirtiest, sketchiest place I've even been.. I drove 10 hours to get here and find blood and other stains on my sheets, dirty floors, and something splattered on the wall.. couldn't be in the room without being nauseas. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING rooms and if you park a nice car in the back you'll probably wake up with a broken window and no wheels.. find somewhere else if you have more than $10 or whatever they charge here

I had my children with me when I went to pick someone up from here. My ten-year-old son said "WHAT IS THIS!? Are you taking us to a drug deal?" I said no I am picking someone up oh, this is a hotel. He said no this is a motel! I guess my kids no more than I do, I'm not street smart.

The staff are very kind and friendly plus management is incredible as well. I've stayed at this location many times because the manager Jaweed is always on top of his game and gets me a room with the amenities that id like. On top of that the place is always really clean when ever im there and I appreciate that a lot about any hotel. The customer service here is beyond any location i've stayed at before and I look forward to my future stays.

Neither of us knew the area and were in town to work a convention. We stayed here 2 nites, no problems with check in/out. No extra charges like others have said. Bed was clean, no bugs, stains or fluids. Bathroom was clean, towels were ok. Freeway was conveniently close. Able to do some work out by the on and off ramps. Didn't bring any guests to the room, it was our place to chill.

My boyfriend Kyle and me stay here occasionally just to get away and relax. We're actually going back tomorrow for a couple nights. We've always had a clean, comfortable room. I personally think the bed are very comfortable and I'm 8 months pregnant. The only issue we had with our last room it was missing a microwave otherwise everything else was good. I like that they have coffee makers in the rooms too lol.

This RedRoof is the best to enjoy your stay. I love their staff and services, always on top of everything. Come and enjoy your time.

To many trouble makers yelling outside my room, it's a no smoking motel so if you smoke, you have to go outside. I do like the refrigerator and microwave though. They need to control who they have wondering the lots and bothering the other people who paid for their rooms. Don't feel safe either.

This has to be one of the most dirty hotels. There were fingernails on the floor. There was clothes laying around the hallways but this is an area where. It look like somebody has vomited in the hall. There was stains on the bedding. It's not the worst hotel I've been but it's the second worst. in but it's pretty much a dump. I wouldn't even call it safe.

Great rooms.. and even better staff. Rooms cleaned daily. The staff makes you feel like family. We we're going to be at work and they even saved our towels at the front desk. We have stayed at many hotels traveling for work and this is our most favorite staff ever. We love them

Hotel lobby smelled awful. Like cigarettes and mildew. The hallways smelled the exact same and were humid and hot. The rooms didn't smell too bad, but the floors were disgusting. so dirty and sticky. The shower & tub were dirty and sticky too. All the linen, towels, and carpets had holes and stains all over them. There was a blood stain on one of the beds in our room and black hairs all over the bed sheets, pillows, and comforters. The knob that the bar latches on to be able to lock the door from the inside was broken off. The peep hole cover was broken so it couldn't cover the peep hole from the inside. The drawers were also very dirty and had hair and sticky stuff in them. The fridge was pretty clean compared to everything else. The phone was dirty, like whoever used it last got makeup or oil on it. and the part where you dial numbers had old food on it. Do not recommend this location.

Walked in my room and there was a dead body just laying there. Sheets were nasty floor was nasty, nothing had been cleaned. I saw a cockroach the size of a basketball. The window didn’t lock so the local transients helped their selves to our bathroom throughout the night. Didn’t even replace the items they took from my mini fridge…..

i grew up in a house where my mom consistently smoked cigarettes in the house, never had a problem with it. but THIS hotel room had a HEAVY HEAVY smell of cigarette smoke, had to keep the windows open and go and buy a bottle of ferbreez from the dollar store, absolutely horrid. the sheets were filled with red and yellow stains, along with the brown and red stains on the bathroom walls. there was actual garbage left on the window cill and the ac unit was blowing out straight dust (not to mention it was broken on the side). we had one towel and when we asked for another one we were denied. this isn’t even all of it.

If I could give zero stars I would. Sheets were filthy, mold on the walls, the smell of the room was disgusting, it was Like wet sock and must together. Staff was friendly and understanding but we had to cancel our stay due to the unsanitary conditions of the room. Would NOT recommend.

I had an okay stay but one particular guy ( M ) made my stay better than average! He gets 10 stars out gate! He was friendly, and over extended a helping hand in anything I needed no matter the day or time. He went above and beyond to fulfill not only my needs but the others around us. He honestly could run the whole place by himself! Truely a hero 💙 - Dream

This is a terrible motel. My house flooded so we were driving around for a place to stay for a night. We weren’t allowed to see the room beforehand so we payed 100 for 1 night. As soon as we came in, the stench of weed and cigarettes was disgusting. There were brown stains on the sheets and cigarette burns on one side. The floors were very gross and sticky. There was a huge hole in the bathroom door like if someone had kicked it. Flies and small animals flew all over the room and inside the lamps. Crumbs of something looked like it was stuffed in the corner of the bathroom. The walls were peeling. There was no mini fridge either. At night, I fell asleep for fifteen minutes, woke up, and couldn’t sleep for 2.5 hours because of how itchy and nasty I felt. Mind you, I’m someone who showers up to 3 times a day, does my skincare daily and nightly, and is very serious on hygiene. I’ve never felt so disgusting. There were hairs on my pillow. The only reason I slept here was because it was getting late and dangerous and I had already looked for hours for a hotel to stay the night for my kids and I. My 6 year old son kept scratching his head at night like if he had a terrible case of lice. Never coming back again. P.S: There was a huge spider inhabiting the corner of the sink.

The most disgusting room I have ever seen. Pubic hair on the shower walls, bugs in the sheets, and rude staff. Overpriced and outdated, it smelled like cigarette smoke and weed and it was obvious that there was little to no maintenance of the room, as the lock was broken on both the bathroom door and the door to the room. Front desk staff was rude when we asked for a refund and refused, saying we could only request a refund before 20 minutes after check-in. 20 minutes is the time it took to take all the luggage to the room and be horrified by each new discovery. We left quickly after arguing with the front desk staff perhaps an hour after checking in to that horror show. It’s safe to say we will never visit any red roof location again.

When checking in they said it was a non smoking room. I walked into the room with my 2 small children and it smelt so bad if cigarettes. The room just was dirty. Early the next morning while my daughter was on the one bed i noticed something crawling up the wall. As i got closer i noticed it was a cockroach!! I killed it left it on the wall got the kids packed up and left. The lady at the check out said yo email them so i did. Also called the next few days to talk to a manager and got no answer or call back. I requested for a refund. It was 112 dollars and it was disgusting. I was so scared i was going to bring something home with me.
