This is the worst childrens hospital ever , the lady’s at the front desk are rude and racist . They let a white couple go up stairs and wouldn’t let me and my son go see my daughter same situation, We waited till my husband and sister came down but they let the white people go to the children floor . I gave her a dirty look and confront her, she gave me and my son are pass after. I told her why would u let them up and not us .she like the 2 people are coming down they were switched off , I told her same here . And we were here first . Never in my whole life I experienced racism in a hospital before . Very rude people . They need be trained on customer service skill and how treat patients especially when there in the hospital. No compassion what’s so ever.

Amazing! That’s the best word I can think of from my experience with the staff at Christ Hospital PEDIATRICS ER unit. We had to visit twice due to a traumatic event and everyone (from the security guards to the nurses, staff and volunteer workers) were super kind and understanding. The doctor and nurses were very thorough with my child and I’ve never experienced such professionalism and care at a medical care facility before … especially in an emergency room situation where tensions are high. I can even go as far as to say that I felt the care they gave us would have been the same care given to their own child!!! That’s how good we were treated!!!! The staff and doctors were so kind that they even brought in a bed for me (mom) to sleep on as they knew it was going to be an all nighter for us….picture attached. I know in my heart that wouldn’t have been offered had they needed it for another patient (that day they weren’t as busy as I expected) and I can tell you it also made my child feel better having mom right next to the bed. In the future, I will definitely be making the ride to this hospital rather than the ones closer to me if the situation allows. You can trust the doctors and staff here with your babies and I’d highly recommend Advocate Christ Hospital Pediatrics ER for any child emergency situation! They are top notch over there and seriously a God sent! The staff were nothing short of my angels during this time and I want to publicly thank them all!!! 😇 ❤️

My 3 year old had coughing and fever with belly breathing. The staff immediately saw to him and within a quick and timely fashion they treated him, fed him, joked with him and sent him home. I was so impressed by nurses, doctor, and respiratory staff.

My daughter was Diagnosed with RSV but had alarming symptoms for a few days prior to coming. Even though she was really sick they sent us home and less than 48hrs later we went to a Different hospital and found it was Pneumonia. I feel as if Christ would have ran more test or at least admitted her they could see something more than RSV. I wasn’t very happy about that because it was a matter of life and death at the other hospital.

My Grandson was sent home from Comer's Children's Hospital in Hyde Park in April 6th 2022. Only to be home for a little over 24 hours and we took him to our ER in Rockford and they took him by lifeline to Christ Hospital in Oak lawn. He was admitted early morning if April 8th he was very sick. Comer's told us he was fine. We wasn't at Christ less then a week and was told they couldn't do nothing for him with the Shunt and he was in kidney failure and was going into Organ shutdown. Dr. Garcia was the doctor taking care of him he was very concerned about Jeremiah's condition. By the starting of the 2nd week we was told they couldn't do nothing else for him. They told us we could take him home to pass away with dignity and be with his family. I can't say how great the Nurse's and staff was to us . They cared and they made sure Me and Bobby were okay . I can't tell you how much I appreciate the great care Jeremiah in what life he has left made sure he was comfortable. Which made us feel better knowing that they didn't let him suffer when we left they all told us how sorry they was. And Danica gave me a hug and let me know they did all they could which I new they did. I couldn't of been at a better hospital for Jeremiah for the last day's of his life. I would like to Thank everyone in the Picu at Advocate Children's Hospital ( Christ) Hospital. You made Jeremiah's last few day's the best it could be and I'm forever grateful ❤️❤️ Melissa Lee

My daughter has been seen five times in the ER since 2020 for the same situation . Two out of those five times she’s been admitted. She’s been seen by two specialist, infectious disease doctor and immunologist which either can figure what’s wrong with her. For two years she’s been experiencing reoccurring cellulitis that is what they’re calling it. It started on her hands but now has spread to her feet. This is draining because every time it happens we end up back at the ER. Infectious Disease doctor told us to treat it with Benadryl which is used for allergies but they have not even performed an allergy test on her. Also, we were told to treat it aggressively. Why treat it with Benadryl, if we don’t even know if this is an allergic reaction. Each time she is been sent home with antibiotics then next month it happens again. Just a bunch of medical students (residents) with a bunch of “I don’t knows”. Worse hospital ever. I don’t recommend at all. Will literally send you home worse than what you came in with. Won’t be back. Also will be changingPCP. This last time we spent three full days in the hospital with NO RESULTS. Left with yet another bottle of antibiotics. Please if you could go else where please do. Wonderful nurses, ANNA, DAVI, AND A FEW MORE ALL ON 2R. TERRIBLE DOCTORS!

I took my 5year old because she was having what appeared to be a seizure or a stroke and because she was able to recall what happened the Doctor dismissed her as being behavioral. The only thing they did was a EEG and that was because the neurologist requested it. That was 1hr of monitoring brain activity it came back with some abnormal activity on the right side of her brain and the er Doctor still dismissed it and said im not convinced this was’nt behavioral and sent us home. No MRI or blood work or anything to rule out anything.

I took my daughter here years ago & the doctor wanted to call dcfs because he though my daughter's birth mark was a bruise. She had a cold I thought was bronchitis or pneumonia. The doctor refused to do tests & told me to take my daughter to our family doctor. When I tried to make a payment plan to pay this bill they told me I can pay half now & the rest next week & that was my only option. I hope things have changed.

My 6mos old was transferred to this hospital with RSV. Considering how understaffed and such a high demand of kids with RSV, everyone went above and beyond. Such a professionalism and caring environment. Thank you so much for all you do!

Nancy Figueroa/ Nancy robledo the medical assistant was so rude to my child. she called us “b!tvhes” and said “I had one coming” upon discharge. She threatened us. Somehow she got my phone number (probably from the registration form) and started texting me a lot of threatening things basically saying the same thing as in person that “I got one coming” which means she’s trying to fight me. I didn’t know people in this career field were able to do and say such things especially in front of a child who is sick.

The pediatric cardiology team is the best. Dr. Jaji really made me feel like she cared about my niece and reassured us that they were doing everything they could for her. Nobody wants to be in the PCICU, but if I had to again, I would want her by my side. Her positive attitude is contagious!

What a traumatic day. There is no one to help you in Spanish. There is a tremendous protocol that I know they do for the children. But sometimes a simple exam delays so much.

Hi, This was my daughter's and I first time at this hospital, and I must say this was hands down the best experience we've had at a hospital. The staff was awesome in every way, they are very professional and thorough. They checked off every box so that they can help us find answers to my daughter's illness. They made us feel at ease, comfortable and very special. Cudos to the team at Advocate Childrens Hospital, I'd recommend everyone with kids to definitely choose this hospital. Thank you all sincerely, THE STRONG'S.

I really do like The Children Hospital. Staff did take care of my Daniel very well much better than NICU which I have not a good memory about them I would never recommend the NICU at Christ to anyone, but PICU is absolutely the best and its highly recommend it <3. Staff is extremely professional and caring, take the job very seriously always make sure we are taken care of well that is outstanding and especially good feeling for a mom who has very difficult situation with her child. Their Er department was always helpful to us and was always ready for us when we came in with tough situation and so as the outpatient visits as well are very pleasant, especially with Dr Coates one of the best neurologist, Dr Kawadry and Dr Rajii Team and the outpatient office is extremely professional and friendly. Daniel is now Thank to Lord free from hospital stays about 9 months. Please continue prayers for him. Appreciate it and grateful for his team and all the Nurses and Doctors on 3rd and 4th Floor at the children Hospital. Absolutely the best care from all of them, for Daniel. Best Wishes. Joanna S. While no one ever wants to have their child admitted to the hospital, we had a wonderful experience when we were there and knew our child was in the best hands. From the staff in the ED to the unit care team, everyone was thorough and so compassionate!

My grandson spent 6 days in this hospital which is two hours away from where we live. We visited three times and I spent one overnight so his mother could take a break from being confined to the room. She couldn’t leave since he was scared without her; and she couldn’t even walk the halls with him since he was hooked up to oxygen. Anyway, I would like to say that every single person working at this hospital was very helpful, caring, and always willing to ask if anything else was needed. I would highly recommend this friendly and competent hospital. As life goes, there is always room for a suggestion. Hospital policy only allows 2 visitors at a time including parents. We traveled 2 hours. There were three of us in the car. I believe it was an unnecessary hassle to have us take turns. We were told it was because of COVID concerns. The three of us breathing each other’s air in the car for 2 hours plus the fact that hugs and kisses were exchanged by all, makes the COVID excuse invalid. I would encourage the hospital to perhaps lighten the restrictions for people who have to travel a distance. Even if you need to show a driver’s license to prove it. I can understand the restriction for people living within perhaps 30-45 minutes because people can coordinate their visiting times.

If i could rate them 0 i would. I felt very much discriminated. My family was the first black family there this morning & literally everyone that came in after us went straight from emergency room to see a doctor. While we wait 2 1/2 - 3 hours !!!! Watch 6-7 families walk straight through. Their excuse “ oh, we go by how severe patients conditions are” bullshhh , it was definitely racial and they choose a easy excuse to cover up the discrimination. Will never be back .
