😠 This place is a nightmare. The Vet recommends unnecessary procedures ( I guess veterinarians don't take a hippocratic oath). Be careful when they try to upsell you on everything. Make sure you get a second opinion. People often mention care, gave, called, kind, great, staff, call,

My review was deleted. My dog is terminal and they wouldn’t make time for him even though it was very important. Just brushed us off. I’ll never use another VCA.

Dr.McNamee is the best! She is very knowledgeable, throughout, detail oriented, and kind. We are new patients to her, and she caught a disease in our pup that has been overlooked for many years. Nothing but good things to say!

I had an 8:30am appointment for my cat, Scout. When I arrived at my appointment time. The team informed me that my appointment was cancelled. I had received a detailed confirmation email the night before. I took the morning off of work to make this appointment. I also spent 15 minutes wrangling my animal into its carrier. It saddens me that an animal hospital could treat their clients this way.

This clinic has been such a blessing for our family. I have been taking my dog there for 7 years. They recently remodeled the whole clinic, it is modern and very clean. The veterinarian and vet technicians always know what they are talking about, are professional, courteous and great with my dog. The whole staff truly cares about their patients. You can be assured your in the best of hands. The moment we walked in the door we were helped by Cathy. I also called the clinic later that day and spoke with Cathy. She always has a great demeanor that is professional, kind and helpful. The day after our visit, Cathy reached out directly to let me know she had submitted my pets records. What a nice gesture! This past week, we had trouble with our pup and Dr. Halie Slawinski was amazing. She was very thorough with her assessment of my pet and compassionate in care. Halie was also very thorough with both the explanation of the X-Rays & tests being performed and the results of the X-rays/tests. The recommendations and advice she gave were good. Christian is also always great with my pet. He is the only person my dog will allow to cut his nails. I would highly recommend this animal hospital to anyone.

I called for an echo cardiogram and they said I need you to come in for an examination in order to be able to call the cardiologist, ust to see when they would be available. They refuse to make the call in order to see availability without charging money for an exam. This is when I've already had my pet examined, have all of the data and paperwork from the examination, and know exactly what is necessary. They said and I quote "we will not call the cardiologist without an examination especially for someone who is not already a client of ours." Well you're definitely not gonna get a client when you refuse care and won't even make a simple phone call without trying to steal money.

How about the Dr who doesn't allow you to even see the procedure. Forget holding the puppy while they are vaccinated. --We were at Millcreek in Orland Park - and I cannot emphasize the difference. Came to VCA in for parvo test upon suggestion of friend as dog was vomiting not eating or drinking. He examined the dog in front of us was very curtious and more than professional when he came back after taking swap sample, and very empathetically explaining the chances of the dog making it and what steps to take. Explained about the virus. Took the call 4 weeks later right away upon first try. Answered the question if we can get another fully vaccinated puppy, as previous one was ill, and breeder as only able to replace the dog. He explained how this virus stays in soil for over a year, to clean everything and wait at least a bit. After doing that, we called and he said go for it, if shots were given in right intervals in right time, and bring it in immediately for another DDApP. Unfortunately we had to go elsewhere. We would still return here.. As other place took the dog to the back to examine it without explaining such practice. More than I could ask. Only thing is that he could have offered us a parvo test to perform at home when we called them for a 4th DAPP shot per his recommendation as our first pup did not make it and we followed his recommendations to work with the breeder. We waited and breeder was acomdative enough to replace the puppy. When we called secretary said they cannot get us in for another two weeks. Not sure why, but if it's because of their desire to prevent another pup with potential parvo coming in - it's completely understandable.

I can't praise Dr. Loxtercamp at VCA Worth Animal Hospital enough! His expertise as a veterinarian is unmatched, and I wouldn't trust anyone else with the well-being of my pets. Dr. Loxtercamp's genuine care and attention to detail truly set him apart. Thanks to him, I've found a vet for life – I won't go anywhere else. I appreciate the peace of mind knowing my pets are in such capable hands. Highly recommend!"

Took our large breed rescue to this vet. She is a recent rescue and has some issues with anxiety. She had never been to a vet before so of course she was scared. The vet gave shots and did check up but refused to do a heart worm test. Our dog had been a stray for months and I think checking for heart worm is extremely important! I understand it would have been difficult to get blood from her but it has to be done. Sedation was an option and they also refused that. Instead we were told to make additional appointments. For what? Making additional appts means they make more money. This vet is afraid of treating large breeds and rescues.

My baby died from lymphoma & the vets were very kind & sympathetic. They gave us a moment to grieve/mourn before leaving. I only detracted one star because of the jaw-dropping prices $$$. RIP my angel, you gave me so many years of smiles, happiness & love. It was nothing short of an honour to care for you. I do not only see it as "human saves animal by adoption", but that these angels have also saved countless humans by being part of our lives & an integral part of our families. Pets have no idea how much they help us get through this rough journey we call life. I cannot express my unwavering love for them. 🐱🐶♥️

Had to put my mother's dog to sleep. The people here were so, so compassionate. They were so kind to my mom's lil Molly. I didn't get that "false sincerity" feeling you sometimes encounter with people you don't know that are trying to be polite in a situation like that. One of the techs was even tearing up. Extremely compassionate and gentle people here. Thank you for the care you gave us.

We have taken our pets to VCA Worth Animal Hospital since 1994. Over the years that includes 4 cats and now our 3rd dog. Dr Wendy Nystrom has been our vet exclusively since 1999. We receive the best of care here, always, and have the ultimate faith in our Vet Dr. Nystrom to always do the best for our furry family. We love the vets and the vet techs at VCA and will always take the furry family members that we love so much there for all of their needs.

They are my 😇's! My 20+ year cat Ava wouldn't have made through the night if it wasn't for them! They were booked up for a month. She put me on the waiting list. Within a couple of hours they called with a cancelation. Ava is recovery and still here!! Thank you VCA!!!

The care we received at this location tonight was truly phenomenal. Our dog, Tink, was having an allergic reaction, and in complete panic, we walked into VCA Worth with less than an hour before they we’re supposed to close. The staff didn’t even bat an eye. In fact, every single staff member was extremely kind and friendly. While we waited for the front desk to finish with the patient ahead of us, one of the vet tech’s saw us waiting and offered to take Tink back to get an exam started before we even checked in. Dr. Nowak was the veterinarian who offered to help us and treat Tink. She was kind and professional, even checked up on Tink once we got home. We know we were a complete inconvenience at what was probably an already long work day, and could have easily been turned away, but Dr. Nowak and her staff chose to take care of us and never once made us feel unwelcome. I cannot even begin to explain how much that meant to us. Thank you all so very much.

I'm a first time dog owner and wasn't sure what to expect. I have a 13 wk old (full of energy) Staffy pup. Upon arriving, the staff was friendly and welcoming. They oooo'd and awwwed on how adorable my pup was (which obviously felt great 🤗). The Vet Assistant was very loving towards my pup and was very knowledgeable, friendly and even gave me tips. The Vet Doctor herself was very affectionate towards him, handled him well, and also gave me great tips on my concerns. The overall facility/hospital was very clean and well organized. I feel confident my baby will be well taken care of by a staff that comes across loving and caring to animals!! I highly recommend them, no doubt!

😠 Worst pet clinic Ive ever been to. I had scheduled an appointment at 11:30 and I waited nearly an hour after that. After that doctor was so impatient and suggested everything I said was wrong and I just buy the medication he suggested for $50 ($15 online/anywhere else). Never going back and don't re...
