The place to get Your Ice Cream! Whenever You are nearby this ice cream shop, stop in for Their delicious homemade ice cream. Plenty of flavors to choose from. You can either sit inside or outside. Lots of parking and lots of seating areas outdoors. They also have Coffee and Muffins too. ENJOY!

We used to come here when we were little, so we decided to stop in for a visit. This place never disappoints, so many flavors to choose from and all look so delicious, not to mention how you want your ice cream, in a bowl, in a cone, in a cup or a shake. So hard to choose and they give so much ice-cream. It's like you've died and gone to ice cream heaven. Friendly staff, clean and reasonably priced. Definitely worth the trip.

I try to come here when ever I am in town. This is a local place with a good selection of ice cream. And about 8 none dairy ice creams. The staff was nice and helpful. The service was quick.

A great selection of flavors and they provide samples. I visited on Thursday afternoon and the store was super busy. The girl behind the counter was kind enough to provide me with some flavors for sampling. However, some of them are highly alike and I can't really taste the difference. For example, Chicago pot hole vs brownie batter; or all the coffee flavors... It's not too creamy compared to other ice cream stores and tastes a little artificial.

10/10 recommend this place. I make a 45 minute drive just to get ice cream because it’s SO worth it. They have flavors on flavors of ice cream and also have vegan and dairy free options! Their prices are more than fair and the employees are always awesome!! I always get a small (pictured in my review) for I believe $4.25. You can choose two flavors with the small and really it’s like 2 whole cups of ice cream! They have scooped ice cream and also shakes. This is my go to ice cream place. They also have a really nice outside patio that’s spacious with lots of benches/picnic tables.

Food: There was a plethora of flavors to choose from in addition to seasonal flavors. While I didn't order any scoops, I decided to order a Minted Pony drink which is just a scoop of mint chocolate ice cream over hot chocolate with whipped cream. It was the perfect order to-go in December. It wasn't overly minty from the scoop, but instead the perfect compliment. I'd easily order it again during colder weather. Service: As far as service goes, walk up to the counter when you are ready to order. They'll call out your order over the counter when it's ready. When I asked the cashier if she had any recommendations, she had more than enough knowledge about all the rotating flavors as well as the traditional ones. Overall, very friendly. Atmosphere: I am obsessed with the decor here. It has an old horse-carnival ride esthetic, hard to explain until you see it for yourself. I wouldn't mind dining in to have a seat by the window with the neon sign or even near the huge plush horse they have coming out of the wall. If all the seats weren't taken, I definitely would have. They have ample picnic tables and chairs outside for the summer season.

As soon as you walk in you feel the atmosphere of an upbeat and fun place. An awesome ice cream shop they have three cashiers to help the line go quickly and everyone is really helpful service and very kind. I was excited about this place in the middle of a forest area, we all got different selections of ice cream and every single one was very satisfying. The serving sizing was more than expected, Will definitely come back and try other selections.

I ordered moose tracks in a chocolate dipped waffle cone. Delicious! Despite being really busy, service was quick & friendly. I sat outside with my friend at one of the picnic tables that provided a good amount of shade.

I'm writing this from Plush Horse, the nicest ice cream store in Palos hills. I was here a few days ago with my friends, and i was just thinking to myself how amazing of a place this is. The staff is friendly, and the ice cream tastes delicious. They have over 30 flavors of Ice cream with different toppings and sauces, along with a line of fresh made waffle cones. I know this sounds like an advertisement for them but it's not! It's

Nice ice cream place. Great selection. Friendly, efficient staff. Looks like lots of history. However, shop is on a designated street bike route and is close to both the Cal-Sag Trail system (really nice) and the Palos Park Metra Station but it lacks a bike rack or other bike parking options. 🤷‍♂️ Either shop operator doesn’t like bicyclists or they are overlooking the fact that calorie-depleted cyclists are a great customer segment for an ice cream shop to cultivate. Please make this place a destination for cyclists, not a place that makes cyclists have to hunt for parking/locking spots off premises in order to patronize this shop.

Some of the best ice cream I’ve ever had. This might be my favorite ice cream shop. There is such a good selection of flavors, and lots of good seasonal flavors too. The service is good and they give you quite generous scoops. I don’t get many chances to come here, but when I do it’s always a pleasure.

Great place for a quick date night and/or taking your children out for some ice cream. They have so many flavors to choose from that you won't be dissatisfied. Great prices and service. It's a must try.

I’ve searched high and low for some black walnut ice cream. It was a true blessing to come across this place, so close to my area. The customer service was excellent. I highly recommend this ice cream shop. You have definitely gained a regular. Job well done!

Wonderful experience 2 scoops small waffle cone only 5.52 with tax. Great portions I do remember them giving bigger scoops before but it's still a lot. Took my 1 year old daughter with me and she loved it even took the stroller in it is a little crowded and a challenge to find parking but overall it's accessible

LOVE this ice cream parlor. It has super cute vintage decor and it feels so homey. The staff are always super nice. This place gets jam packed in the summer but they always get through the line quick. I always bring my friends and family here to grab some ice cream and hangout in their seating area outside. It’s a place where my family has created a lot of memories 💞💞 OH and their ice cream is the best!!

Cute little hidden gem in Palos. This ice cream shop has OVER 100 FLAVORS!!!! They also offer dairy-free flavors. This is my second time visiting and the staff is always friendly. Can’t wait to be back on a summer night to enjoy the outdoor seating area.

I don’t give many places a 5 star rating but The Plush Horse deserves it. Nice staff, good portions and I’ve never been disappointed every time I visit. Sure, it’s ice cream, how could you mess that up? Well, you’d be surprised. I live on the Southside and I’ll trek to the SW burbs for this joint. Their Apple pie flavor is amazing. Their pumpkin spice or pumpkin pie or whatever it is in the Fall is also freaking delectable. I’ve also tried the mint and cinnamon and I was pleasantly surprised. Get their small waffle cone and do one scoop, believe me it’s enough. I’m also a mild lactose intolerant so it’s the right amount not to get me sick, but if you can handle a full two or three scoops I hate you but do it! Can’t wait for slightly warmer weather to sit outside and eat Apple pie ice cream.

I’m from Dallas so we don’t have this place around I’m so glad I came here as opposed to a namebrand joint. There are so many choices. I picked three and felt bad having to leave three off…and my goodness not only the flavor busts the actual ice cream is to die for, very creamy. Staff are friendly and guide you to whatever you’re feeling that day. I wish y’all could make your way out to north Texas. I got apple pie Nudder Budder (pb cookie;seasonal) & butter pecan

Had the best strawberry sundae ever. Loved the service and the seating outside. The old time decor is wonderful in this place. I also bought the turtle pretzels, LOVED IT! Will definitely be back!
