For me being in a Polish grocery store is like being a kid in a candy store. I know next to nothing about Polish food. Stuffed cabbage and pierogi are the extent of my knowledge. So it was a discovery journey for me. When you walk in you in you are greeted with a long counter full of different kinds of sausages. Then there were counters of cooked food and salads. There were many shoppers all speaking Polish. I asked for help and recommendations. The staff was very helpful and I came out with 2 grocery bags of food. Frankly I have forgotten most of the names of the food I bought already. Nevertheless they were all delicious. The potato pancakes, the chicken roll stuffed with mushrooms and the cheese blintzes were superb. We now visit the store regularly. Each time it is a discovery. We never know what nice treats await us in the hot food section. We also love all the different kinds of baked rye bread they offer.

This store is like a hidden gem. Their deli selection is great. Their bakery department has some really good treats for everyone. The only thing I didn’t like is the customer service. The lady at the register who wasn’t polish had an attitude. I handed her the money and just placed my change back on the counter. No manners whatsoever. Didn’t say have a nice day or nothing. Yes, everyone has a bad day here or there. Don’t take it out on the customer. It’s not the first time I’ve ran into that issue at this store. Every other employee is nice but her. Very disappointing.

I grew up in the Chicagoland area. This is hands down the best Polish deli I have ever been to. Their selection is amazing and everything from their sausages, lunch meats, breads, and hot food bar, etc., is delicious and fresh. Their selection of Polish Highlander cheeses is impressive. Thank you to the owners and staff for keeping this Polish food tradition not only alive, but thriving. We have to stop here every time we are in town. Don't miss out on visiting this deli. You will be very glad you did. I only wished they shipped to our location so I could enjoy their food more often.

Let me start by saying that I do not speak Polish, and I am not of Polish descent. I come to this store for the traditional smoked sausage and fresh rye bread. I was at the deli, my number was called in Polish, and I responded in English. The woman behind the counter became visibly annoyed, rolled her eyes and spoke to a younger man in Polish indicating that he needed to serve me. This young man also seemed annoyed, but spoke English and served me. This is not the first time a staff member has been rude after realizing that they needed to speak to me in English. Customer service is definitely lacking here. There is no shortage of Polish delis in the area. I'm sure I can find one where I will be treated with respect. I plan take my business elsewhere.

Terrible customer service. I walked in to their hot food section and the place was empty except for one other customer. Meanwhile their employees are just standing around. I waited for 15mins and the customer in front me got serviced but the employee took forever! And no one greeted me or acknowledged me. I’m not sure why no one else was able to assist me when clearly they were not busy. In addition the employees give a very pretentious air off. There are other better polish deli's around

I had bought TONS of chicken breast from a grocery store when they were on sale for 0.99/lb. But chicken breast to us Chinese is always dry and tough. I've made it a couple of times and it was just ok. That's why we don't usually buy chicken breast but for 0.99/lb, I bought 25lbs. I have growing boys and they eat a lot!!! So my coworker showed me a picture of a bag you can get at a Polish grocery store with herbs and you just have to put the chicken in and it'll turn out moist, juicy and delicious. I had to get me some bags and see what kind of a sorcery is this! I haven't made it yet but I went to Lassak to get my bags and also some kabanos that I absolutely love! They have everything. Such a well stocked produced grocery store. Not always the friendliest at the butcher shop so that's why I had taken away a star. I felt like when I asked them questions, they were a bit irritated by me because I was Chinese and didn't speak English but I would still go back again. The older lady who worked in the aisle and the cashier was very nice when I had asked for help. At least that was a plus. I want to try their hot food one day!

I stumbled upon this place while searching for the fresh polish sausage of my youth Their sausage is nothing like it But it is an incredibly juicy tasty sausage which I adore Their hot dogs of veal and pork are also delicious That's all I have purchased from here If you're anywhere close and love tubes of meat this is your place Lost 1 star for not having naturally fermented unpasteurized sauerkraut

Large selections of polish foods. The meats are a very good quality. The butchers are very helpful with suggestions on how to prepare . Everyone of the employees are pleasant. We go there about 3 Saturdays a month. We come from crown point Indiana. Definitely a place for great food.

Worst customer service. I guess i have to look polish to be serviced or greeted. Stood in front of the deli and no one assisted me. The place was empty with tons of employees making eye contact with me and ignoring me. Won’t be spending my money there

Crowded and busy always. Parking area is always full. Very delicious and fresh products. They have a huge Polish Deli section, bread section, baking section, pickled jar section. Huge tea selection. Fresh veggies, juice, bakery and alcohol section. Highly recommend. A little pricey but great choices!

Great selection of imported Polish goods. The deli has some fantastic cold cuts and cheeses, I don’t recommend the hot meals though they taste off.

This was one of my best experiences in the greater Chicago area. The ladies behind the counter only speak Polish. And a very nice customer translated for me. Best bacon counter.

One of the few places worth visiting when in Chicago. Miss their food. A true gem.
