Great place for lunch! Friendly staff, so many options! Love coming here to try the different sandwiches. You also gotta make sure to throw in "The Guts" and toast your sub! Try the sandwiches in different combinations, you'll love them all! Did I mention their staff is friendly and patient?! Two thumbs up every time!

When you come to the Chicago area, there are generally some food you want to get. Deep dish pizza Chicago hot dogs And the Chicago steak sandwich. If you aren't as aware of the sandwich, I suggest you try it! Peppo's has some options. We were in my wife's home town and we decided to get lunch at a place she loved growing up.

I want to leave a higher review because the food is delicious and has their own twist which I like. However, the toppings were quite stingy. There's plenty of the "guts" and it's a great topping, but I only had one slice of each meat and one thin slice of cheese on the sandwich. There's so much bread to so little meat, it was pretty disappointing. And the guts salad is just chopped iceberg lettuce with guts, I felt it could use cheese or something more added for the price. They use quality ingredients though and everything tasted great. I would have even paid extra for more meat/cheese had I known what to expect but the option isn't available online. I'd still say to try them though, just be aware of what to expect and maybe ask for extra toppings.

This place is always a treat. I don’t get south as often as I like but every time I do this is my lunch spot. The staff has always been friendly and attentive. The place is clean and the mini super sub is outstanding. Some reviews complain about price, it’s as average as any other place nowadays. I can easily spend the same at a chain restaurant and not be nearly as satisfied. Cheers Peppo’s! I’d love to shake the owners hand one day. And thank you sir for your service.

I currently live in Wisconsin and every time I am home I am sure that I stop at Peppo’s to have one of these awesome subs. They have a condiment that’s called “the guts” that is absolutely amazing. I have been coming to this sandwich shop for 20+ years and it is always a highlight of my stop in Chicago.

Hit the spot! Went with the recommended #4. Delicious bread, fresh meat and overflowing with peppo’s guts! Got extra garlic guts (quite garlicky) and pasta salad. Must try if you love a good sub!

Loved the cashier, she was incredibly friendly! My order came out quickly. I absolutely loved my sub. I ordered a turkey with roast beef and American with everything. When I saw a fork in the bag, I knew I was in for a great sandwich. I definitely suggest going here.

Walked in and greeted by one of the employees who promptly took my order and said the person on the phone taking orders would ring me up when she was off the phone. The employee who took my order then went into the back and started making food. I ordered the pepperoni with garlic guts and had it toasted. There was a LOT of the guts on the sandwich, which is served open face almost, and had a very good garlic flavor to it. The sandwich meat was a decent amount and the toasted bread was still chewy but had a good toasted crunch to it. Sometimes you get a toasted sandwich from somewhere and they can over do it making the bread hard but not here. I was also getting one to go for my wife and the employee said they'd wait before making it so when I was finished eating there, the to go sandwich would still be fresh. Very happy with the meal and service. Definitely plan on stopping back in sometime to try something else off the menu.

What an amazing sandwich shop that is a non chain. Bread …delicious. Options for those whom need gluten free…they can make the sandwiches in a wrap or a bowel. They have an amazing take on the topping entitled “guts” both regular and a garlic version. Give it a try and it’s worth a shot drive if you enjoy sandwiches

I ordered the Turkey with bacon and Monterrey cheese toasted. This sandwich was so good! The guts on top are absolutely delicious and the service was great! Everyone was so friendly and nice. Would definitely return!

I've heard great things about Peppo's Subs and wanted to actually try it out. I stopped in before closing and the staff were very friendly, knowledgeable of their menu, and the cleanliness was spot on. The order to wait ratio was great and the sub sandwich was phenomenal. I will recommend 10/10

So you look at the menu and a 5 ‘ sandwich is 5.17 and then my total was 8.40 and in the corner of their sign it says prices very..really you just can’t post the whole price. I ate there when they were off on 107th. Now it tastes like Quiznos. The relish had no spice to it. Too bad.

I'm a new customer and I don't live in the area but I'll tell you my sandwich was worth every bite and some. You won't be disappointed if you try.

I went out of my way home to stop and get a sandwich here. Line was a little long because everything is made to order and have only three kicking butt. They were awesome to watch doing their craft. Could use some more help but that was my only gripe. Their toppings, guts, are famous and build the character of the experience. Stop in, you will remember it always.

Amazing sandwiches. Great service. They are unlike any sandwich place I have ever been. The service is always fast and with a smile. They have 3 different types of "guts": original, garlic, and jalapeño. Guts are a tomato, pickle, onion relish with red wine vinegar and oil... and secret recipe of spices. The bread is always super fresh, and they use the best deli-cuts. I have been coming to this lace since I was 3 years old... 5 could say that I am a Peppo's "lifer". Best subs ever.
