Solid coffee in a great location. Pastries were just okay and a bit overpriced

GREAT coffee and friendly faces!! We had cold brew and pour over coffee at La Colombe and it was great coffee. You can always tell the quality of coffee by how it is just black, and it was awesome! They were very friendly and the vibe is great! Would highly recommend this coffee shop!!

Best coffee shop! Not an exaggeration. All of their drinks are great but for me, the best thing they have is the oat milk draft latte. It’s so wonderfully creamy, and the oat milk is perfectly blended. Idk how they have accomplished this but it’s so so good. All their other drinks are great. The staff and service are both wonderful as well. I love coming here!

Not knowing about this place before and giving it a 1st try, I have been very impressed and pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere is simple but stylish and is what I would expect from a coffee shop. Coffee taste was spot on. Presentation certainly adds to the overall appeal as well. And the prices are below Starbucks. The location I’d visited was only a few doors down the block but after giving it a try I’m surprised the place is not busier than it was. Next time I’m in the city I’m going again for another tasting!

One of my go to coffee shops in Chicago. I know it is a chain but it doesn't feel like it. This one is a nice bike ride from my apartment and I love drinking latte art from a real mug while enjoying the quiet atmosphere to read a book or practice my drawing skills. The pastries are quite good as well.

Moved to Chicago from Philly where La Colombe is pretty popular. Love having one near me but as others have said the draft lattes are 70% foam and not worth the cost. Their other coffees are excellent and they will grind the beans for you if you purchase a bag! Staff is great.

Was in the area and in need of tea, wifi, and a restroom. My husband loves Columbian coffee. We were so lucky to run across this coffee shop. Many choices of Columbian coffees and the tea options were better than expected. Served with a saucer for the teabag, and they provided an extra cup of hot water in a double to go cup to get the rest of the flavor on the go. So nice. The wifi was good and the shop was clean and very pleasant for spending some time there. Clean restrooms. Under the blue line. Wish I took some pictures but I forgot.

This was a very cozy place to be in. I had an Oat draft latte..i love sweet things and honestly it is already so good it doesn't even need much sweetener at all. The cappuccino that my friend has however was bolder and needed the two sugar packets pictured here..but that's how you want those. I do have to say the flavor of the cappuccino is pretty unique. Try it out. We liked it but I'm pretty sure not everyone will love it.. the oatmilk things though.. don't hesitate! No wifi on weekends to promote conversation. Honestly we all know that's for turnover but that's fair.

Great coffee with a cozy ambiance. We ordered cortado with chocolate croissant. Both were amazing!

Very friendly staff and great coffee. The very outstanding thing I could admit that they provide a spoon on a small plate for take out order to stir coffee and if I want to add extra sugar etc

I really enjoyed my mocha cause I don’t really like sweet/sugary drinks. And the almond croissant was👌🏼 also a very good, chill place to have a talk about life with a friend ❣️

Two options for espresso. The Bowery (espresso) was prepared very well - sweet, bright, no saltiness. Cappuccino (~8oz) was nice as well. The house espresso carries well through milk, and the milk was steamed nicely. The house drip coffee was a bit dark roasted for my personal preference, but they did have an additional, single-origin, drip coffee that was lighter roasted - did not try. Almond croissant was decadent. Barista at register was customer-focused and friendly. Music not too loud, and the cafe didn’t get too loud with multiple people talking. Seating options weren’t the most comfortable, but we stayed for 45 minutes no problem. Will return!

The Oat milk draft latte is unique and a must-try. Latte art on the cortado was very impressive. Would’ve preferred a light roast but medium/dark was good too.

Was super annoyed because we were in a hurry. The door on the store said they opened at 6:30.. I waited until 6:40, one of the employees saw me standing by outside waiting. We left because we were in a rush, I go to check online and find they don’t open until 7am. So multiple reasons why this was the frustrating experience : 1. The employee didn’t have the decency to even come say “hey we don’t open until 7”. 2. The door said something completely different than the internet. CHANGE THE DOOR OPENING TIME PLEASE.

It immediately became my favorite coffee in Chicago 😍😍😍 Super creamy, delicate but light fresh taste! I gave up my homemade coffee then 😄

The oat milk draft latte should be considered a performance enhancing drug. Get it with no ice whenever you need to fall into deep focus. Taste outstanding and is sooo strong.

Ya it's ok but the seats are so uncomfortable. Great location right off the blue line stop. The coffee I got kinda tasted like straight oat milk BUT definitely packed a cafinated punch.

Great staff and nice little coffee shop nestled under the train station. Our favorite are the oatmilk draft latte and black and tan latte. Hits the spot each time.

One of my favorite coffee shops in Chicago and ( New York City). It is located a couple of steps from the Blue Line train. The coffee is wonderful and they provide a self serve station of water and sparkling water. Atmosphere is great and you are able to get some quick work completed during your coffee session. Highly recommended!!

This spot was a bit of a disappointment. On the day I was there, there was a terrible smell that permeated the whole shop. I assume it's from being so close to the Blue Line, but it made working a really unpleasant experience. Pros: - Convenience, since it's right off the blue line. - Large window in the front, which looks out to the train tracks, but it does allow light to come in. - Seating is spacious especially if you find a corner seat.

This is my go-to coffee shop during my commute and it's clear that thought goes into the place. The baristas begin to remember your name and order very quickly. The espresso based drinks are always well made whether hot or cold, and they also offer a "draft latte" served cool which is very smooth, slightly sweet, and unique to La Colombe. This particular location gets a generous dose of morning light because its exterior wall is nearly all glass. A variety of seating options available, along with free fizzy and still water from taps at the back. They turn off the wifi on weekends to make room for conversation at the tables.

10/10 draft latte. Honestly, I don’t even understand how this latte is the perfect mix of creamy but light. It is absolutely delicious and I would come here every day if I had the option.

Nice iced mocha, but expensive. Pretty sure all coffee is overpriced these days though..

Delicious coffee and chill space. The L isn't too loud. Fyi, it's hidden right next to the L enterence.

It's a cross between a coffee shop and a safe house. The flavors of each product are unique, and the scent has no resemblance to any other coffee shop I've ever tried. And it feels like my late mother made me a delicious cup of espresso, and the shop has a lovely atmosphere. What a lovely place.
