Used to love this place but the last visit was extremely underwhelming!! Went on Friday and ordered the all you can eat fish and chips as I have before. Got my plate and asked for another piece of fish, when they told me they no longer offer that all you can eat and they just haven’t got new menus yet… then gave the plate that was brought for me to someone else for free… all along the servers were non existent and had to ask 2-3 times for various things, super disappointed this time and not worth the drive anymore. Was my favorite fish and chips around for years, now I would prefer Culver’s honestly. 😟

Food was so/so. The atmosphere was ok while we were dining but turned hostile when an overly served group of men made negative comments toward us and the bartender just looked and laughed and did shots with them. If you are running a professional establishment please treat EVERYONE with respect. I would definitely not recommend this bar. If you are owners of Irish Patriot please review your camera footage from 6/16/2023 at about 7PM...give or take.

I’m not much of a pub girl, but I definitely loved my meal! Also very convenient that it’s very close to my house so I don’t have to drive very far. Staff is really nice and the environment is very nice too!!

Claimed they couldn’t take out of state IDs… the ID in question was from the neighboring state, INDIANA. Seemed like a lie, and almost borderline racist being that the entire group was people of color… very odd and unheard of. I’ve worked at multiple bars in Illinois, completely ridiculous.

I'm flummoxed by the many positive reviews for this place. I've probably been in here 4 or 5 times since the place opened when Paddy B's closed. It opened with a lot of promise. It looked so nice. It is not. Of the 4 to 5 visits, I've had 4 to 5 bizarre experiences. Bizarre is probably the best word to describe it here. The bartender walking around in socks one night, a waitress accusing my sister of knocking over an outdoor umbrella rather than assuming (as a normal person might) that it was the wind, locking the door to the outside area when there were still customers out there without telling us they were closing, then TWO employees standing outside the bathroom door waiting for me when I had the nerve to ask to use the bathroom before leaving, music BLARING when the place had about 5 patrons rattling around inside...I could go on. I've never left there thinking, what a fun time. I've only left thinking, I plan to never return again. The only reason I find myself back about once a year is its location.

Food is always good, service is nice, and the dining area has a fireplace to sit by while having a meal and pint. They also have Carlsburg if you like that beer.

Great family owned bar .bartenders interact with the patrons .when not to busy care about the drinks they make to make there customers happy . and when the owners r working the make u feel like family. And when the kitchen is open there food is great also .

Great place in a great location. Charlie is a top notch bartender! All the bartenders are extremely attentive and make you feel at home. Really a place that makes you feel comfortable. Definitely a place to visit. Highly recommend!

It’s a great place to go as long as you don’t need medical assistance. I had the paramedics called on me one evening for having a severe panic attack, the next time I came in I was informed that I was not allowed back. So long as you don’t have mental health problems, you should have a great time.

Always weary of pints of Stout outside of Ireland. No need to be here. Grand pint of Stout from Irish Owners . I'll be back when I'm up this way.

The wait staff was great. I liked the French Onion soup but my wife though it was salty. I had a Ruben with fries. I liked it. The creamy horseradish was a nice touch. I enjoyed the mayonnaise coleslaw.

Been going for years but the new management has been excellent. Jason was great, staff was nice and place was clean. South side classic will live on.

Our first visit and we had a great time with friends. When we walked in we were greeted by Noreen. We were having dinner so we grabbed a table by the fire place. Great food, great experience, will definitely be back.

Great Wings and Half Price apps on Bears Game day! Everyone is very welcoming and makes you feel at home. Has a great vibe that reminds me of Cheers. Highly recommend.

I stop in for a quick Bombay Saphire and tonic with extra limes and everyone is very friendly. Service is great too. Have not eaten anything here but seen food come out of the kitchen and looks /smells grear.

came with friends and were turned around because they claim they don’t accept out of state ID’s. the ID’s were from Indiana. seems a bit racist considering the group was of color. never heard that before considering i work in the area and at multiple bars/restaurants through the state.

This place is amazing. First time there was just a couple days ago. I am going back again today. The food was amazing. I got the wings and the Rubens. The service was great and the bartenders are fun and talkative. Even gave me that old pub feel when she gave me some fun feistiness back to something I said. I like that. The Guinness was outstanding as well. I can not complain about anything here! They even had a band when I was there! I can’t believe this place isn’t packed all the time. The owners came around and introduced themselves and were extremely friendly. I will for sure be back more and will tell my friends. Keep up the good work guys!
