It used to be so much nicer. O pool anymore! No hot tubs! My friend wo rented the room was really put off after the fact but stayed anyway. Rooms were clean and fresh although it's not worth what she paid. The buffet was alright. They need to fix the pool and hot tubs or close. Lots of men down by the front door smoking g outside. Gross.

Horrible! Upon arrival we had to ask for a different room. The carpet was so filthy I was blown away. We got to our second room, and the refrigerator was not operational. We travel with medications that have to be refrigerated. We were tired and exhausted so we just went to bed. The public areas, the pool and sitting areas were beautiful, but the rooms were terrible. Old furnishings, dirty chairs, just not a nice room at all. We were there for an event, we needed to stay an extra night and they wanted to charge us $169. We don't mind $169, but not when the room is filthy, furnishings are old and just not up to par, we mind. I would have given it zero stars but that wasn't an option.

Ok, the night desk worker was great. But come morning time.... Things change. It's a Saturday morning, I'm waiting for breakfast, thinking that for $220.00 I will get a complimentary breakfast. Nope. I go to the breakfast area and there's a small sign saying that the horrible breakfast buffet is 15.99 per adult. Unless you are given a breakfast voucher. Which no worker there on this morning had anything to say about them. I'm with my 73 year old mother, it's her birthday today, and we go to get our things and leave but the cleaning lady is literally pouring soapy water onto the floor and using towels to soak it up to clean it. It was so slippery we both almost fell. My ma went to ask the manager what the deal with the breakfast voucher is, why didn't we get one? Especially since the night before we got no paperwork, receipt, nothing. She was standoffish to say the least. We both said we would make a complaint and she responded with, "have fun doing that." So petty. The TV wouldn't work, horrible passive aggressive desk staff. On Saturday August 13, 2022. The horrible women wearing black with the mask, glasses and a tattoo on her upper arm. She deserves to be berated by every customer coming in until she understands customer service. Being in the hospitality business. Leave your miserable attitude at home and pass on good vibes to the people that make sure you're able feed your family. I hope they do something about the service and no amenities.

WOULD POST NO STARS, NOT RECOMMEND if we could do so! Front desk, tall male, VERY RUDE, no eye contact with anyone, as we waited in line for our requests. When he got to us, he stated RUDELY, that..."he just got on duty, he didn't have to put up with our requests", and added, that he wanted us to leave! We questioned why our key cards continued to stop working, 3rd day, yes, kept away from magnets AND, why were we not getting room service for 4 days? He stated, again, he did not have to take our harassment, stated he was going to call the local police. Told us he wanted us out of the building. We went up to pack--near 10pm, Saturday night! We are mature professional adults who have stayed all over the world in the past in the business world. We LIVED in the area, years past, and THOUGHT the "Wolfs Head Inn" legendary rooms and banquet halls from past family events were still elegant, NOPE, this place should get LESS THAN 1 STAR! Continually called down for clean towels each evening, trash never emptied 4 days. Spoke to non-English speaking housekeeper through her phone translator PLUS AT FRONT DESK, to please leave fresh towels and clean trash cans, etc. Nothing done when we return in late evening, each day. Again, we used the one working elevator that ALL FLOOR ROOMS WERE USING, to trek down to front desk for towels. We learned early, that a phone call to the front desk in the late evening, brought up the non-English speaking housekeeper, only to hand us queen size bed linens--no towels, second call, we got towels. We gave up and went to Walgreens and bought our own shampoo. Shower door leaked water on floor. Mold was in corners of bathroom shower. Toilet seat was loose and hair was on the shower walls. We used our daily bath towels to soak up water. Exterior wall AC/heat unit leaked water from rain storm on third night, carpeted floor was wet 5 feet from window anything on floor was wet. We used our towels to soak up the wet carpet. Back door is not secure between banquet hall ramp and rear hotel entrance anyone can walk in, despite it says "Emergency Exit". Lock on door broken, door did not close completely. Poor lighting in rear of building if you must park there, if you return to hotel after 9 pm. Front elevator out of service, appeared to be that way for quite sometime. Charhouse Restaurant made us sit by bar area, on first night, because it was 8pm. Noisy, plus slot machines and "drunken regulars" from local area were very noisy and swearing while drinking and playing machines. Waitress refused to ask them to lower voices when we asked, so we approached them and told them we were eating, please respect other patrons. They mocked us. Food was overcooked, reheated, refried, nothing was done. Saturday night was a free for all with people from banquet side floating over to hotel room area. Smelled of illegal substance smoke in the air, filtering in from outside. The male front desk clerk should be let go, he has no people skills everyone was looking at us and a bystander patron agreed, we made no outrageous requests. I asked for the manager's name. I asked for HIS name also. He reluctantly gave it to me and said he wanted us out tonight, he was calling the police! We told him to have our bill ready. We came down about 30 minutes later. The police were there. I asked them if the rude clerk called them. They replied, "no, but usually stopped in on weekend evenings due to increased activity at this hotel". We shared our encounter with these officers. They snickered but made no comment as though this has happened before and the front desk clerk was probably the reason with his personal power struggle and lack of people skills. We are still planning to contact Corporate Office in Atlanta for Holiday Inn. The hotel side needs MAJOR renovations or be torn down. Mold must be a problem with the rain that continually blows in and soaks the carpets where the AC/heat units site under the room window . It's sad, because it was once a wonderful place for banquets and dinner or at the restaurant.

Love the renovated rooms, had a great relaxing weekend here. One of the best hotel pools around too, wish they still had the hot tubs/sauna. Staff was always helpful with anything we needed as well. Will definitely stay again!

First time here since the renovation. I came often when it was William Tell. The update is beautiful the rooms look much nicer and have comfortable furniture. I booked 4 rooms for my family to have some pool fun over this artic freeze weather to be told pools are closed!!!! NO refunds no discounts nothing. Right after we checked in we were told this!!! I'm very disappointed and hope this can be fixed. I'm a holiday Inn rewards member as well and never had any problems with holiday Inn other than today.

The room and the hotel were pretty clean, but in desperate need of a remodel. Carpets are old, room style is outdated. Appliances are old models, TV is not smart. The room design is a bit awkward with the kitchen being part of the restroom. Electrical close to running water is never a good idea. It is considered a hazard. Not to mention that there is no curb around the shower so water can easily go anywhere. The biggest problem is that there is something wrong with the plumbing. Maybe is the pipes, but could also be a toilet/ toilet tank in need of repair. It was making sounds every half an hour so it was impossible to sleep since the sound was just too loud.

I am an IHG memeber and have booked at a lot of IHG hotels. We stayed here 3 nights for Northcoast. Had a group of friends stay here too. I just want to say that the staff here is one of best staff we have ever dealt with. They are welcoming from when you walk in the door and go up and beyond for their guests! Shauna, Sami, and Davon were who took care of us all weekend. The energy there was fun and you felt it. Will most definitely be returning to this hotel again with my friends! Thank you to the team for your amazing service.

It was subpar, then I'm used to over the many years I have been staying here. Place could use a spucing up,our carpet had stains. Others then that anything we needed we got at front desk. We didn't require housekeeping, we weren't there very much. I will miss the hot tub which is no longer there.

Hi. I just wanted to compliment you on the addition of the jazz group in the lobby. It completely changed the ambiance and the wine was great too :). We noticed a couple checking in towards the end of the entertainment, and the group played an additional couple of songs so the couple could drop their luggage in their room and come down for some music and wine. Nice touch! Well done!

Front desk staff was unprofessional and rude, did not consider any of our complaints! Stayed for 4 days and took 2 days to get more towels for our room ( only had 2 for 2 adults and a 4 day stay) pathetic. Shower drain didn’t drain, clogged the first night and maintenance never came to fix it. The restaurant attached is atrocious!! Took 30min just to get acknowledged for a glass of water and then 1 hour to get food. Food was TERRIBLE! Tasteless, unseasoned, bland. DO NOT EAT HERE EVEN IF ITS FREE!

To me this hotel has gone down in customer service. The rooms are nice. But the customer service and changes they've done to hotel have dropped since 2022. The staff was alot friendlier plus had working computer and printer to do work on. My last stay at the beginning of june the service was lacking plus when needing to use the computer. Couldn't print anything out and they didn't know how to fix it. I would still come here when need the rest due to pricing is better than other hotels right now. Just hope the customer service gets better

This hotel was decent. I was happy with the rooms, they were clean and updated however both the pools looked they haven’t been scrubbed in a long time, there was build up around the tiles which was a little disappointing because it’s a great size and otherwise nice, the water in both pools were very warm so that was a plus. Update - they have charged my account an additional 190.09 for a second day claiming I was in the room “well after check out” which is completely false I handed my room keys directly to the front desk lady and checked out before 11am now I have to go through customer service to get a refund !

This hotel had a nice meeting room that we glad a birthday party at. It was very spacious. There was room for dancing eating for 100 or more people plus a dj area. The bathrooms were nice and very clean. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Okay first off I thought this place was going to be good especially being in countryside you would think everything would be clean and just upscale a bit . Got to the room and it did not look that cleaned at all floors were not as clean the carpets were stained the sheets were stained the curtains were dirty oh and the bathroom floor had stains I had to clean it my self and shower was not cleaned had hair in there then I ask for a extra blanket they gave me a mattress pad . We had paid for a suite you would think it would be clean and decent nope it was not . Then the pool area was not cleaned I’ve asked to have floor cleaned by kids heated pool it was completely dirty . And as we are leaving ! We saw two cockroaches on the walls by our room outside. I had to clean the bathroom my self I basically did there job -__- wish there was fresh blankets on our bed luckily I brought my own it was not the best experience at all .

In town for a birthday celebration Halloween weekend. First time staying at Holiday Inn Countryside, IL but won't be the last! Our overall experience was very enjoyable. The staff, location, recent renovations, and lovely Atrium venue were awesome. The front desk staff, especially Sina, and the housekeeping manager, Lisa were very professional and customer satisfaction oriented. Lisa personally handled an issue we had with our initial room. Absolutely loved her positive vibe and our overall stay. The renovated rooms practical design &  beautiful decor are very welcoming.  The bathroom,  beds & linen in both the double queen and king rooms are very clean and comfy. Not all the rooms are renovated yet, so make sure to ask for one that is when checking in. Hope you enjoy your stay! We certainly did.

Positives: The beds were comfortable and the room was clean. Our room was unique with a brick wall and was updated. Very large pool and a lot of seating. Second kiddy pool. Very large shower. Bathroom was clean. Negatives: The front desk woman who checked me in talked to someone on her Bluetooth phone the entire time she checked me in. She only talked a bit louder when she was talking to me, otherwise I would have had no idea who she was talking to. The light right when you walked in the room was burnt out. You have to pay extra to swim in the pools. There were doors slamming constantly until midnight, which made it difficult to fall asleep. Breakfast was supposed to be included but signs told you to go down to the attached restaurant for breakfast. Elevators were bouncy as in you could see them bounce when they stopped at a floor. No service since 2015 according to the sticker. We took the stairs, which were very dirty and musty. Probably will find lodging elsewhere next time.

First room smelled like something was dead inside nasty. No towels at the pool... Women's restroom by pool was disgusting. The kids eat free right? Nope... Supposed to get free food for kids with hotel stay. I sat down to have a nice dinner with the family and they tell me it's not free..... according to the website it's breakfast lunch and dinner..... The restaurant was completely dead so I figured they would want my business, especially when my wife and I were ordering the most expensive items on the menu. Oh well we went to Texas Roadhouse and had a wonderful meal for less than half the price.

Stayed here on spring break 2022 to get the kids out of the house and take a swim. The pool(s) are the main reason we booked this hotel. It has 2, one Olympic size and the other a small "kiddie" pool. Kids had a blast and the pool area looks amazing. I kept getting asked on social media if I was staying at some resort out of state - that's how nice it is! That said, we also booked becuase of the free breakfast. We got up early, went down and were told there was no continental breakfast. The reason? "Something happened in the kitchen." What that was we have no idea. But we did see other disappointed guest coming down expecting breakfast and being told the breakfast was coffee and muffins in the lobby.🥴 We asked for a partial refund and the young lady, while pleasant and very personable, seemed new to the position and was struggling figuring out how to find the reservation and how to credit some of the charges. The wait was too long and the kids were hungry and ready to leave at this point so I told her to just forget it and we left. Would we stay here again? Absolutely. The pools are awesome. Were we disappointed in other aspects? Yes, but not enough to have made this a bad experience. Life happens sometimes and sometimes that means no free continental breakfast! 🥞😵 The great thing is you can head down La Grange Road nearby and find an endless amount of fast food restaurants and some nice sit down restaurants within 5-15min from the hotel.

There’s no breakfast, they give a 10% discount to the attached restaurant that is suppose to serve breakfast but was never open. Showers and bathroom was nice but rest of the room was mediocre. Some TV channels were fuzzy.
