Hickory
Hills
provided
unequivocally
the
most
unpleasant
golf
experience
I
could
ever
imagine.
From
start
to
finish
I
felt
like
I
was
in
an
episode
of
either
the
Twilight
Zone
or
Punk'd.
The
process
of
checking
in
for
our
tee
time
felt
as
if
I
was
checking
in
for
a
flight
to
North
Korea.
The
starter
completely
ignored
my
playing
partner
and
I
after
hearing
our
tee
time
to
chat
with
a
coworker
in
front
of
us.
The
group
in
front
of
us
rolled
up
with
cases
of
outside
alcohol,
then
got
into
a
shouting
match
with
the
starter
before
they
even
got
to
the
tee
box
(which
had
at
least
a
dozen
carts
lined
up
due
to
overbooking
of
the
tee
sheet.
They
also
were
able
to
bring
the
excessive
amount
of
booze
with
them
despite
the
show)
They
also
played
3
balls
each,
drove
their
carts
on
the
greens
and
tee
boxes,
and
drove
back
down
the
fairway
to
pick
up
our
balls
multiple
times.
We
immediately
were
hit
into
twice
on
hole
2
with
no
'fore,'
and
no
apology
on
the
third
tee.
This
happened
several
more
times
throughout
the
round.
We
didn't
see
a
single
ranger
during
our
6
hour
round.
Honestly,
I
feel
bad
for
the
grounds
crew
here.
They
obviously
are
putting
a
lot
of
effort
into
the
course
and
it
could
have
been
an
enjoyable
place
to
play
if
it
weren't
for
the
unpleasant
staff,
useless
management
and
overall
lake
of
golf
etiquette
and
safety
shown
by
its
patrons.
On
almost
every
hole,
someone
in
our
group
would
be
addressing
the
ball
and
about
to
swing
only
to
be
interrupted
by
a
cart
coming
off
the
opposite
fairway
into
ours
to
take
8
practice
swings
and
chunk
their
ball
30
yards
back
into
the
trees
separating
holes.
This
course
is
TIGHT!
It's
absolutely
insane
how
close
some
of
the
greens
are
to
tee
boxes,
concession
stands
and
other
holes.
If
you
have
more
money
than
brains
and
decide
to
pay
$60
to
experience
this
nightmare
of
a
course,
you
may
want
to
bring
a
helmet.
Shoutout
to
our
playing
partners
who
saved
the
round
from
being
a
total
loss.
We
eventually
were
able
to
shake
our
heads
and
laugh
at
the
absurdity
of
the
situation.
