Our family loves the Science Center, and we are grateful to have a place so central in town that is an engaging space for our daughters to learn through playing and experimenting. We’ve had the opportunity to work together as a family and also to see our older daughter independently explore with art projects made of an impressive collection of recycled materials, experiments, community guests, and other excellent events thanks to the Science Center. They’ve really thought of everything there, and it’s clear they took special care when designing the spaces to appeal to kids (and adults!) of all ages!

I love Homewood Science Center! The work they do to educate kids, expand local networks of STEAM professionals, and draw people into our community from the whole Chicago area is awesome.

My kids love going to the science center. There's stuff for all ages. We're very excited to try out a week of camp this summer also.

What an amazing place in the community to encourage curiosity in children! How does this work? Why does this happen? What will happen if I do this? Can I really do that? Where will this go? All great questions that can be explored at the Homewood Science Center! This was our first visit, and my 5yo twins had a blast learning about different careers where a STEM education can be applied, building roadways and pathways, weighing objects, adjusting weight on pulleys, coding a caterpillar, connecting tubes for a ball drop, seeing the components behind a wall, and upcycling materials to create a take-home-craft. We read a book, counted bones, and played with other curious children. There were cleaning supplies on hand in the maker’s space as well as hand sanitizer. The space will bright with colors and ample comfortable, child-appropriate seating. Would we come back? Heck yeah! Thank you, Mr. Charlie, and all the other wonderful staff at HSC for a fun Friday filled with learning.

My kids love this place! It's a great way to burn some energy on a Saturday morning, and they don't even know it's educational as well! My kids have participated in several summer camps over the years, and have loved every second of it!

My kids love the Science Center's STEAM Saturdays. There are staff on Saturdays that can help your kids with projects. There are also frequently presentations from other science and art organizations. I have in the past been a mentor for the Girls STEAM Success Club, and I love that this is an opportunity offered to support girls in the area.

The Homewood Science Center is a fantastic resource for kids and adults. They have wonderful programs and are very involved with the community. They are an asset to the Chicagoland area and I feel so fortunate to have them in Homewood.

My daughter loves it but be warned that they will always let you know that they will pester you and make you take the time out of a Saturday but you might make a friend

What an awesome place to visit. So many STEM related exhibits, sessions, programs and camps. I'm so glad that this Science Center exists. Keep bringing more programs for the elementary students because its definitely needed in the South Suburban area.

I feel so lucky to have a science center in our community! We love the exhibits and the new large foam "blocks" and of course all the events and pop-up science. We recently attended the Lego night and could easily have spent another 2 hours. The staff and volunteers are engaging and helpful. I look forward to many more years of learning fun.
