ALWAYS check the KNOW BEFORE YOU GO TAB on the website to see what’s going on before you lose your mind giving this place a bad review. In January when I saw they required vaccination status I was just like “guess we can’t go” it is what it is. All I see are a bunch of cry babies on these reviews. Iam NOT VACCINATED nor is my child and we enjoyed our visit with the very friendly attentive staff TODAY 2.22.22. Oh & my 2 year old wore her mask the entire 2 hour stay with out any complaints or complications 😂 our oxygen levels were not compromised

Very clean and well kept by literally an army of employees and volunteers. I was worried about the hygiene before I went there, considering we were in the middle of the pandemic. Consider myself converted. The surfaces are cleaned often, and everything is in top condition. The mechanics area provides a lot of opportunities to explore, art workshop up to date with all needed supplies, the woodworking workshop is a ton of fun, and maintain the expected security and safety guidelines. Then comes the water, air and electric sections. Is highly recommend taking a backup pair of dress for the young ones. Considering the fun they were having, I didn't feel like stopping them from splashing the water and getting all wet from the water stream and the bubbles. I had a lot of fun. My kid did too

So, picture this: one fine afternoon, we thought it would be a grand idea to whisk our lovely grandchildren off to the DuPage Children's Museum. It's like a little kingdom of entertainment for the tiny terrors and young rascals. The little ones had a blast, but let's just say the angsty teenagers weren't exactly over the moon. The staff, bless their souls, were nice and friendly. Can't complain about that. However, it seems like the place could use a good old deep cleanup. I mean, a little dust never hurt anyone, right? Oh, and watch out for those mechanical belts off their tracks—apparently, some toys were suffering from a little mechanical rebellion. Maybe they just needed some time off. Overall, the experience was alright. Some of the kids were thrilled to be there, and that's what matters, I suppose. It may not be the most mind-blowing adventure for the older ones, but hey, at least they got to spend time with the grandkids, right? It's all about finding the silver linings in life, even in a children's museum.

I love this place for keeping the kids entertained and their minds engaged. It small but there's more than enough for them to do. I like this size vs. the downtown Chicago children's museum because it's more manageable and not super crowded. We've been a few times and the kids want to stay for hours and hours. Be sure to bring another set of clothes as the water section is the most popular section for the little ones.

Very fun place for kids of all ages. From toddlers to young kids. There's something for everybody. A lot of activities are on the main floor, with a smaller area on the 2nd floor. Lots of interactive activities. Building, solving, creating, etc. Some of the activities could use a revamp as some were not working, or not working properly. Otherwise, let your child's imagination run wild in this place. Plenty of free parking in the lot.

The children’s museum was the perfect recommendation from one of our friends who lives in the area. Our girl absolutely loved the first floor of interactive hands-on exhibits. Museum is large enough where no one area felt over-crowded and diverse enough to hold interest of our young ones. Ihighly recommend this museum.

We went to DuPage Children’s Museum on a weekend. It was packed with little kids and adults. The place offers many interesting activities for curious minds. The activities range from water play, painting/ crafting to light/sound based play. We had so much fun. It’s a great museum for toddlers. There is a gift shop which was a constant distraction for my son. It was a bit difficult for me to keep him away from going to the shop. There is a restaurant in the basement which was hosting a birthday party.

I’m grateful I called before driving the hour and a half to get there to be denied entry because my 3 year old level 3 autistic son will not stand a mask. My family is vaccinated and I’m not an anti-masker but I’m disappointed because my son doesn’t like many places because of his sensory issues, so I was excited to bring him somewhere made for children like my son. We can go to Walmart with no masks, but 1 child out of 4 people not wearing one is forbidden in a children’s museum? Bizarre.

My son loves the Children's Museum! We have a membership, which saves us a lot of money since we go regularly. His absolute favorite spot is the water and bubbles area. (Bring a change of clothes if you're little loves water play as much as mine does!) The Young Explorers areas (for babies & toddlers) have been redone recently, and they did a wonderful job. The rotating exhibits upstairs are always fantastic. We haven't gotten to check out the new Questioneers exhibit, but we're excited to see it. I'm so grateful we have such a fantastic place for kids to play and learn nearby!

Great museum for younger kids. Membership is extremely worth it. My 2 yr old comes almost every week and always finds something new to do. He can spend all morning here. The museum is more geared for younger children. I’d say by age 8 - 9, most of the play areas and concepts are too simple. It would probably get boring fast for those older kids. Since our family and our nanny are vaccinated like sane people who don’t use vaccines as a political statement, we are able to continue to enjoy coming here every week :) great museum

Took our toddler here. The museum is pretty new and clean. Lots of fun things to do. The water area seems fun but this time didn't want to get wet. I definitely recommend it. Fun for smaller kids they have designated areas for small kids and cool stuff for bigger kids to enjoy as well. We were there Saturday morning and it wasn't too bad in terms of crowd

So much fun. The staff is great and there is so much to do (especially on a cold winters day). Note that they close at 4 m-thurs. give yourself at least 2-3 hours to see it all.

Its one of the bigger children museums in the suburban area which is great. Wonderful place that I take my son to in order to get out of the house. I was able to get membership now especially because I want to visit weekly with him. He loves it and gives him a chance to put around other toddlers/parents and in a safe environment which gives me a peace of mind. I am thankful when organizations look to the health and future of humanity more than monetary gains they might lose. My family and I appreciate it.

I had a great experience with my son who turn one when we went today. It was quite easy to figure out how to order tickets and to get our tickets and how much it was going to cost per person and what time that you could go in and it's a great bonus that you can stay from the time you get there all day long until they close. For $15 a person if you don't have the membership it's a great activity to do for the family. We will definitely be back soon!

This place is so much fun and there's so much to do. We've been once, bought the membership bc there's no way you can cram the whole experience into just one visit! Multiple areas for non-walkers to play in, amazing water room, craft room, woodshop, we haven't visited the Cafe but there's one located in the basement. I love watching them explore, my kids are 1 and 3 and every corner we turned they were in awe! Had to pull my 3 year old out of the dark room haha he didn't want to leave! Upstairs you can create your own gallery, there's a floor piano to run on, another space for babies. We can't wait to go back. They also offer $5 Friday nights during September and October and on those nights are open from 5-8! Masks optional, staff seems to mostly wear them though.

It's more of an exploratory play area for kids than a museum. Mostly targeted for kids under grade 2 and KG kids would have great fun. It's a very colorful setup and it would take around 2-3 hours to cover it. There's crafts area, carpenters area, water area would be very engaging for kids. The second floor is more a display section with less activities than the first floor. Better if you can book the tickets prior visiting. Masks are not mandatory but preferable.

I have a 7 and 5 year old and they always have a blast here! 😃 We have a yearly membership as we try to come once a month. That has helped us save a lot of money. The place is always somewhat busy not overly busy. School holidays tend to be a bit crazier. There are plenty of exhibits that allow the kids to be part of the learning process. This place is wheelchair friendly. There are elevators for those who need them.

  • 5/5 Vishal B. 2 years ago on Google
We booked tickets online the night before and it is worth getting there on time, parking lot gets full and takes time to find a spot. Once inside, the only challenge is keeping up with the child! We really appreciated the little respite room where we could take a break from the sensory overload. If your child is on the spectrum and is a sensory seeker then this place has a lot to offer. The cafe is now open and offers fresh cooked healthy meals, they even cut the grilled cheese to look like a monster.. With cold weather this place seems to be very popular and will be busy so come ready. They have a big coat and stroller room as you enter. A separate area for kids under 2.. The water play area is a toddler magnet so bring a change of clothes if your little one likes to splash. They have two big birthday party rooms in the cafe area.. Over all a great place to bring little ones!

I brought my daughter here last week on a day off from school. The museum was clean, not very crowded and comfortable. Many thanks to the staff for keeping our community safe, and allowing for kids to be kids in a comfortable environment. We are looking forward to the next visit!

Plenty of activities appropriate for kids ages ranging from 10 months to 8 years old. Our 9 year participated but worked through the stations quickly. Love the art connections, theming, and gallery of paintings/sculptures. My 5 year old loved it! Her favorite part was scrubbing the floor near the water station. The menu at the cafe was fun and thoughtful regarding allergies.

If you’re a parent who normally gets overwhelmed or worried when taking the kids out this will be life changing. This place is the ultimate little kids (8 and under) friendly activity. I prepared myself for just kid madness prior but all of the stations are so good the kids are busy exploring/ expressing themselves. We took our newly 3 and 5 month old on a weekday around noon. No line and easy parking. We bought our tickets prior and strolled right in with zero line. There was a giant free locker/ coat area. All of the workers were pleasant and helpful. We hit up the cafe for lunch mid way. It was surprisingly not busy and clean. The extremely patient, pleasant and thoughtful worker took our order(again no line). Lots of great simple fresh options for just about any taste. Cost about $35 plus tip option for lunch for 3. Which for the convenience was worth it. Other random positive notes it’s LGBTQ+ friendly, lots of benches, easy to navigate a stroller and breastfeeding friendly. We will be going back very very soon.

I loved my visit so much, I signed up for a membership before I left! The space is clean, visually engaging, and reflects inclusive practices. The museum should especially be proud of its staff. Every volunteer and staff member was helpful, cheerful, and engaged with the kids. Their love of kids really reflected in every interaction I had; from the staff at the front desk, in the cafe, to those engaging kids in the exhibits. My 18 month old enjoyed this space so much! He has the attention span of a caffeinated moth, yet refused to leave one area of the museum for two hours. We barely got through half the museum, and I left with a sleepy and happy toddler.

Lots of fun for little ones. Geared more towards 5 and under but my 8 year old still had fun! The water table was the biggest hit for all ages! They had smocks to help keep the kids keep dry as well as a wind tunnel next to it just in case.

It is one of the best choice for the children’s Birthday Party! Do not even think about any other place. DuPage Children’s museum worth every penny you pay for your party. All kids and their parents were happy! I am as a host was happy. I’d like to say BIG Thank you to museum staff. The ladies who worked with us were amazing. They helped a lot with our birthday party.

Took our 1.5 year old and had a great time. Lots of things for him to look at and touch! The dedicated baby areas a.k.a “Young Explorers” are a great idea and tend to be a little quieter. Definitely coming back!

Wow. I read one review here ending with " don't make the same mistake I did" and I wish I listened. This place is NOT spread out enough the building is small(I'm comparing to Rockford one) so the kids are like all on each other. I brought my 18 month old here so MAYBE that makes me feel how I feel. They have toddler areas but they are small. The water area was small. At Rockford they have 2 water tables one for the babies and one for big kids. This place is way to expensive and just NOT worth it. I was there 40 mins only. There's nothing outdoor (Rockford has an outdoor area). I spent OVER $50 for me, my boyfriend and 18 month old. Rockford is cheaper bigger and way better. I WISH I listened to other reviews. Do not waste your time here. Go to ROCKFORD.

  • 2/5 Jaqua F. 2 years ago on Google
It's just alright, it could use a bit more space and various activities for the kids of older ages. Considering they charge everyone regardless of age $15 to get in. I thought it was a bit tacky charging a 1 year old $15 to get in, but she enjoyed it overall. We lost power while inside but it was shortly restored. I understand the concept however way too pricey for my liking with very minimal activities for kids to do inside.

  • 5/5 Jerry D. 2 years ago on Google
There were so many interesting things at this Children’s museum. One area had black light pens that wrote on white walls, there was a water area that just the-opened, and then finally there was a woodworking area where they had actual power tools that kids could work with! Awesome! The food area/cafe was not open and they asked individuals to eat outside (a few benches) and everyone over the age of 2 must currently wear masks.

This place was awesome and affordable! $19 for anyone 1 and up. But if you have wic, tanf, snap, and or military they have discounts. So I paid $3 for myself and for my daughter. $6 in total compared to $38 is such a steal!!!

Still awesome place to take the kids during these times. They follow the CDC guidelines and use cleanliness. There's not much out for the babies but that's too be expected, due to they put everything in the mouth of course. In all I would recommend taking the kids back there.

Took my 15month old here and within 30 minutes knew we were getting a membership. I’ve never seen him so engaged, curious and eager to play. We had one of the best days together. I loved all the options of activities and the cafe downstairs was perfect for lunch.

My 18 month old had the absolute best time!! We were there for 2 hours and hadn’t even exhausted the main level. Stroller friendly for younger kids too. The cafe was amazing as well. Gluten free friendly! We will certainly be back. And like another review said, it was very helpful to bring a change of clothes for after playing in the splash area.

Definitely the place to bring kids to when they need to work off some energy. We had brought our children here for many rainy days. Can get a little packed, but it's a large facility. They offer semi private party rooms also, and the staff has been consistently friendly, supportive and welcoming.

My family’s visit to the museum was incredible! There were so many cool exhibits and things to do. The wind tunnel and water play were my favorites. My girls loved all of the climbing things. The cafe was excellent too. What really stood out however was the staff-they were everywhere keeping the place sparkling. They were extremely friendly too. Special shout out to Ava who stayed late so we could pick up the very special lovie/stuffy we left behind. Thank you for going above and beyond for my family! Keep up the great work everyone!

Great place with lots of activities that could keep kids busy for a couple hours! I’d say it’s best for those 5 and under. I recommend going right when they open because it gets absolutely packed with no parking by 10:30. Or visiting during lunchtime when the littles have all gone home for lunch and nap!! Definitely get the membership since it will basically pay for itself. Only reason I took off a star is because the areas designated for those 2 and under really should be just for them. Lots of older kids end up in there and kind of trample over the little ones so it’s not as enjoyable for them. The place is extremely clean with staff everywhere picking things up and offering assistance as needed. Definitely somewhere you could visit on a weekly basis.

Enjoyed a day field trip here with my daughters kindergarten class. The kids all had so much fun exploring all the different activities. There is a lot to see and do, but it's not too big where it's overwhelming. The water area was definitely a big hit with our group.

A great children's museum in Naperville. It has reasonable rates and convenient hours of operation. The staff is very friendly and helpful, especially with younger children exploring the exhibits. Not nearly as busy as a lot of the downtown Chicago locations, if you're looking for a place that is good for children with a little less chaos! A worthwhile visit for sure.

Nice place over all. Good for kids starting to learn about science. My smarter kids got board fast, my younger kid can spend hours playing with the same things. CON. Metal support are not cover in case kids run into things.
