My son's small high school (Greenhouse Christian Co-School) rented the DuPage County Historical Museum for a formal dance on February 11, 2022. The venue was delightful. The staff was excellent. I highly recommend this venue for an event.

Speaking of trains the real railroad with the Metra Passenger Trains & The Union Pacific freight trains its crazy, the metra trains are like driving fast at like 7 - 8pm & they horn quite alot even though no one waves

Didn't really know what to expect when we went to the museum. It's a nice place. I love the train exhibit. Everything is well marked. Did get to meet one of the employees by the name of Zach. He was great. Really knew what he was talking about And made us feel very welcome. Kind of a small place but very well put together.

My family and I like coming to this little museum. It is free but donations are appreciated. They have rotating exhibits so we go 3-5 times a year. It is a beautiful building and the staff is always nice. The train and kid playroom in the basement is my 2 year old's favorite!

Admission is free, but with $5 suggested donation. Interesting museum, with exhibits about DuPage County history, though not in a lot of depth. Has a large model railway set up in the basement, that has the full setup running a couple of times a month (schedule available). If you're there at any other time, you can turn on one of the trains.

It's a very educational place. They have an amazing scale train of the town. Very impressive

It is free to get into this museum. They only suggest to donate $5 per adult if you would like. My kids loved the lower level, which includes a beautifully done railroad exhibit. The detail they put into it is amazing! It must have taken a very long time for them to put that together. There is also a room with toys for kids to play (which the lady in the front desk claims was sanitized). The main and second floor showcased historical items that were geared more towards adults. Overall, this museum was nice. I would take the kids again another time.

Worthwhile trip to this county museum. We especially liked the exhibits on Illinois/ county history and how people lived, mens facial styles through the ages and the trains. Then we walked around the Wheaton downtown area, enjoyed the nearby restaurants and busy coffee shop. Recommend this for an outing.

I give it a 5/5 star rating because it is always so quiet unless there is lots of little younger kids in the downstairs train play area! I also love this place because the scavenger hunt for the museum book is always so very fun!

Excellent place for students and kids. Important to know about Dupage region. Don't forget to go downstairs to see railroads in miniature.
