Very nice small park at south for walking enjoying watching the waterfall and the birds surrounding you , don’t forget to grab a lot of bread to feed the birds , your kids will love it and very nice park for photo shoot, for your graduation or wedding too. It has free parking , very nice for small picnic. And it’s for golf too you can join the club close by .

Calm and peaceful. The waterfall can put you to sleep. There is a golf area as well, but I did not try it.

Nice litte nature break from the urban insanity of Chicago. Decent place to relax and enjoy the dam falls and the dam view. Saw a lot of kids taking dam prom photos in front of the dam falls. Parking could be better but I'll give it 5 stars for what it is and in the location it is in. (Basically a weighted grade as it really doesn't compare to the larger state and national parks)

Except for having to watch your step (geese poo) very nice quiet relaxing place. You can watch ducks and geese swimming, walking and resting. The waterfalls are also relaxing. Finally there is a walking, running track of sorts.

Really nice park, but can be overcrowded and the walkways are not very wide. Not sure if they took down the signs, but a lot of people come here to feel bread to the ducks even though bread is terrible for them πŸ˜”

Beautiful, relaxing and pleasant area. Well-landscaped and well-maintained. This is a great place to visit just to unwind and enjoy the beauty of Nature. The grassy areas along the pathways are inundated with waterfowl that are waiting to be fed by humans. The waterfalls have a heavy "water" smell to them which should be expected as they pull so much water from the Cal-Sag Channel, and then return it providing oxygen for plants along with fish and other wildlife living in or near the canal. That is the original purpose of all five of the SEPA stations along the Cal-Sag Channel/Calumet River.

Neat park with the potential to be great but the waterfalls and ponds had no water and no dates when they normally would be visible.

The number of reviews talking about feeding bread to the birds is alarming. I've known since I was a kid that bread isn't good for ducks and geese, just a simple Google search will show why.

A good place to walk and reflect. The waterfall itself is beautiful. Great place to manage your equilibrium and have some peace to yourself for a while. Or you could also interact with others, up to you, regardless, it's great

πŸ‘πŸ‘ Park has two soccer fields. One is big , one is small. There is a small playground for ages 5-12. Parking lot private. They close at 8pm. You can still stay in park but not in parking lot. At least i have been told . Maybe winter ,summer times are different. Honestly i could not see any information...
