Beautiful dog park but nothing to denote it was members only until we arrived. I now have a disappointed pup that was excited to play. They don’t offer day passes for non members / out of towners. I’m not willing to pay $50 and wait a few days to be approved to let my dog play for 30-40 minutes. We’ll find another dog park. Just wish they made it more obvious it was members only so we didn’t drive all the way here before finding out.

Honestly it’s weird that a park is members only. Being a tax payer should allow me access to any Illinois park whether it’s for humans or dogs.

I have a small dog and although they have a separate enclosure for him it isn't used.i have had two instances where larger dogs have been aggressive towards my dog and I've had to take my dog to the vet once because of it once. I'm not saying that's always the case most dogs there are great but all it takes is one person bring a dog that isn't. I love the idea and as I said most people are very responsible but all it takes is one act of aggression.

The other review is not true, I am from Chicago and pay a $75 non-resident annual fee($50 resident).Great dog park with a decent space. Baggies and water are provided on site.

The Park District is doing a great job with capital improvements to Bailey's Crossing. My pup loves going there to run freely and play with his fur friends.

Private dog park for members only. Nice shade, area to run dogs or play with their friends. Benches for humans.

Best $30 I’ve ever spent on my dog. He loves it here, and all the friends he gets to make and play with. Mostly responsible dog owners and regulars. To those giving a bad review because of membership. Understand that with that membership, it requires all up to date shot records. It’s also a last resort if there is an aggression issue with an unfriendly dog and an owner who won’t own up to it. It really is the best way to keep all the dogs safe.

Pro: Mainly friendly dogs. Friendly people. Owners are friendly and usually wary of their canines for safety of their's and other's dogs. Toys and various pet-keeping paraphernalia available. Equipped with water station for both pet and owners as well as a short hose and spray gun to hose dogs and equipment clean. Very spacious for dogs. Separate gated area for smaller or more temperamental dogs. Convenient location that isn't very busy which is a plus when it comes to safety of traffic concerns. Landscape is diverse enough to challenge dogs when running as well as large trees to have a more forest feel. Cons: Generally upkept but requires more field maintenance. Large dirt patches and weeds in secluded areas. Easily remedied with more mulch. Gates and fences are too short for some jumping dogs and are chain-linked meaning risk of accidental injury if they scrape the top of the fence. Cigarette butts can be found so be careful if your dog likes to pick things off the ground. Do your part and help scoop them and other trash into the trash.

Went here because its the nearest dog park to my house. Get there to a crowd of people and their dogs just blantly staring at me, and couldn't even have the decency to tell me it's a membership only park. Found out by calling number on the poster. But I won't be joining it with those awful members.

My dog loves this place. He is a Brittany Spaniel with lots of energy! Been coming here at least 3 days a week for a year now. Good way for me to relax when he runs after birds.

Nice dog park. We have a small dog who doesn't always play well with others so the separate area for small dogs was a great idea. Great use of the space in Oak Lawn. The chess tables that used to be there were a waste of space!

Love this place but you have the occasional dog owner that just doesn't care and has a super aggressive dog. Sad.
