Great preserve in the Chicagoland area! Hills and ravines provide some challenging terrain. Small trails off the main. Love this whole area!

The winding road down Kean is my favorite street ever. The woods here have the most beautiful trees in the autumn. The trails for hiking give you options from well worn to need a little bushwhacking along the way. The people Ive met here have all been friendly, many people walk their dogs along the trails. It's secluded enough to feel special but populated enough to feel safe. A really beautiful and clean space. Update spring 2022: They have widened the creek near the parking lot and cleared some brush away. Last year there were little to no fish in the creek compared to the previous years. It was a *dramatic* decrease. So I hope that the widening of the creek allows for a healthier ecosystem and the fish come back healthier than ever. It looks beautiful. Update End of Summer 22: The fish have come back to the creek finally. They aren't nearly as big as they used to be, but they are definitely back. πŸ˜€

My kind of trail: clean, clear and not crowded. Fall colors, brisk air and the forest anima making nests for the winter.

Wonderful spot for a walk in the woods -- hills, streams, wildflowers, birds. Soak it all in! *FYI, teeny tiny parking lot

Love coming here, trails are never too packed. My girls love the creek side trails and it’s a good distance for them to get tired but not whiny.

πŸ‘πŸ‘ It was a lovely evening! We stop by the natural preserve center with the children and had so much fun. It’s perfect for any age. At the end the place manager had above talk about the importance of conserving and maintaining the green , preserving natural places for the animals to live. πŸ‘ŒπŸ˜

Hiking is our favorite thing to do on these trails. The park areas are great for family events. The trails are not good for younger chi...

πŸ‘πŸ‘ I honestly can't believe that people are so irresponsible.its wonderful but... always throwing garbage or leaving it abandoned where they swallow. Do not leave anything, everything you carry is yours, take it with you, take care of nature
