Beautiful Sunday morning hikes with my sons. Easy access to a wide variety of well maintained trails. Palos Forest Preserves is the best reason to live in the southwest burbs.

Easy parking, great place to start on hike

Love running the trails. Bathrooms and grounds are kept clean.

Probably the best place around Chicago to fit in a legit trail run. It can be really sloppy after a heavy rain, so if you don't want a messy run wait a week or so.

I like this Grove small and peaceful right off LaGrange road. Horse trail off to the west side let's you see an occasional horseback rider passing by.

There must have been a horse convention on the trail last week. Pretty nasty, the amount of droppings...

Have mosquito spray. 1st time in years they were present. Bat house is not as full at Swallow Cliff as it used to be. Still had great time.
