Bikes, fishing, runners, walkers, all welcome here. Two porta potties (one at each end of parking) ... From here its 4 miles 1/2 shaded, 1/2 sun , to an intersection where you can jump to multiple trails or continue on towards Romeoville, or even joliet steel mills. Great place to build distance with no traffic, plenty of vegetation, and if early enough plenty of deer.

Went for a run and it was a great trail for this purpose. Bikers also frequent this area.

Paved trail, the extra baseball fencing didn't help me get into nature. More of a bike path, rather then hiking. Nice deers

Main pluses: ~ Views of river Des Plaines๐Ÿ˜ ~ Recycle bins in the shelter area ๐Ÿ‘ Overall very good experience there, only one minus for me was sometimes noise from passing trains.

I've been here once. It was cold and windy. Caught no fish. But we loved every single minute. It was beautiful! There lots of parking, it appears to be a great spot for families and picnics. It's right off the highway and a big gas station but super hidden so you don't feel like you're near anything. I can't say how great the fishing is yet but hopefully it's gonna be awesome and we will be out there chucking chonks and rippin lips soon enough!

Really nice park a little hard to find with the address versus the park name but other than that we had a great time, great area for our family BBQ, it wasn't crowded and it was very secluded and serene. We plan on going back for another family gathering. Type in the name of the woods versus the address or you'll end up 6 minutes away in the residential area.

The view is great here from certain spots as you are pretty much waterfront on the river. I would suggest that the add additional porta potties and also add more benches near the water for families to enjoy.
