So, the trails here are quite nice. Lots of marked and unmarked ones for all kinds of taste. If you like an easy flowing ride choose the blue and green trails. For more advanced riders I suggest black and blue. Nothing super hard or extreme but still a nice ride and challenge every time i come here. If you ride all the marked trails it get you about 15 miles of riding. The only complaint here is it’s multidirectional and if you’re really flying you might run into another rider coming your way. Be careful and have fun.

This is where the 2006 movie the Lake House was filmed starring Sandra Bullock and Keanu Reeves!!! I advise to research this fantastic time travel romantic film! This is one of my favorite places to visit in Illinois and Cook county!

Beautiful spot to check out another view of Maple Lake. Tough to hike around the north side of lake during spring and summer when all the greenery is bountiful, but there is other cool hikes just be cautious because there are mountain bike trails and they can be moving fast. Please don't litter and maybe even pick up someone else's 😊

Awesome place for mountain biking. They have a starter trail around the cemetery and a bigger one across from it that rounds several miles. Totally awesome.

They have made so many improvements over the years. My husband loved the short walk to the outside tables. Beautiful new building and table area. Very peaceful, come on out and see all the improvements for yourself.

My home mountain bike trails. These trails were built and are maintained by CAMBR, which is a group of volunteer local mountain bikers. Pretty much mecca for trail riding in the Chicago area. These are also excellent hiking and running trails.

WOW the mtb trails in here are major!!! Novices can enjoy everything as well just use your brakes downhill. No required jumps or drops and there is always room to walk around the unexpected. -1 star for the lack of SIGNS that could warn random pedestrians to stay off the mtb trails. Locals have plenty of horror stories of crashes involving or caused by random walkers. Safest practice is to make NOISE both ways on slope sections, and if bringing kids have the biggest adult lead the way at all times. And brace for impact worst case. Newcomers should bring a tracking app and be adventurous as there a lot of different paths and it's easy to miss a mtb path or get lost altogether

The purple trail is one of the more challenging hiking paths in this area of the forest preserves, in particular when significant snowfall is present. Spectacular views of maple Lake.

First time mtb on snow. This is great park in the area. Could be a little overcrowded during warmer days but still best around.

Home away from home. Best spot for trail biking within a hundred miles of chicago. Access to 3 trailheads that lead to 28 miles of xc single track.

Very fun place for mountain biking with lots of parking. Plenty of trails that have rises and drops. If you come here be sure to start here, from there you can jump on as many trails as you’d like.

👍👍 It was a lovely evening! We stop by the natural preserve center with the children and had so much fun. It’s perfect for any age. At the end the place manager had above talk about the importance of conserving and maintaining the green , preserving natural places for the animals to live. 👌😍
