Hiked the green trail and the northern 1/4 of the loop between Cap Sauers & Swallow cliff trails. Would recommend parking at the Teason Woods parking lot to start the loop otherwise it takes you to a random spot. Otherwise, a beautiful rather hilly trail for Chicago landscape, which was a pleasant surprise! Dog friendly.

We walked the Yellow trail starting from 40 acres woods going in a westward direction. While there your choices are, yellow, brown, black, green and purple. We have not walked the green. The trails are well marked and paved making them excellent for running, walking, biking and horseback riding. Lots of changes in elevation adding to the challenge, interest, and variety. We have been told this is probably one of the best trails in the Midwest and I would definitely agree. We like the access to the swallow cliffs stairs. Also of note were signs that signaled where the restrooms are.

Nice trails and a beautiful forest. Lots of gnats, mosquitoes and flies so wear bug spray this time of year. Look for the foot traffic only trails to go deep into nature.

The most remote area near Chicago. Wide gravel trails for horses, bikes, walkers, and runners. Plus some footpaths just for those on foot. Definitely do the footpaths if you can. Mostly open woodland, with some meadows and old orchards. This is where you go to get away from it all.

Trails atop glacial eskers for hikers (no horses or bicycles should use these fragile paths) and a larger graveled path for all wind through forest, meadows, and savanna.

Chilly morning hike in the final days of winter. Trails are well-marked. Other hikes and runners are friendly. If you enjoy a good endurance test then don't miss the Swallow Cliff stairs.

Gorgeous, quiet. Biggest preserve in Illinois not interrupted by roads. Tons of wildflowers. No parking lot or facilities but that makes it even better!

πŸ‘πŸ‘ It was a lovely evening! We stop by the natural preserve center with the children and had so much fun. It’s perfect for any age. At the end the place manager had above talk about the importance of conserving and maintaining the green , preserving natural places for the animals to live. πŸ‘ŒπŸ˜

πŸ‘πŸ‘ What an amazing set of trails. They are lots of hills and changes in elevation over 150 feet throughout the entire trail system. Great for advanced mountain bikers. Hiking is our favorite thing to do on these trails. The park areas are great for family events. The trails are not good for younger chi...

πŸ‘πŸ‘ I honestly can't believe that people are so irresponsible.its wonderful but... always throwing garbage or leaving it abandoned where they swallow. Do not leave anything, everything you carry is yours, take it with you, take care of nature
