My experience with was A LITTLE ROCKY AT 1ST BUT she became nicer. She was pleasurable. The food was absolutely amazing. It very beautiful inside, You know how the bathroom 🚻be nasty in restaurants not here very clean and relaxing. The atmosphere is just beautiful here. It's a great place for girls day out, family dinners and events. Top quality service. I give them 5 🌟 beautiful place. I highly recommend it.

How the mighty have fallen. 10+ years ago this was a great place to eat. Now staff is horrible and food is worse! Hibachi side is a joke! 3x the $ and food was greasy and salty 🤢. Will never be going back, not even just for take out. Save yourself time and $ and go anywhere else!

On Saturday afternoon there is a decently long wait - but the food is worth it! Once seated service pace is pretty good and service friendliness is very good. Table, dishes, silverware, and drinking glasses were all clean. My wife enjoyed her sweet & sour chicken very much. I had beef chop suey and it was yummy. The beef was tender, not dry at all. We also had BBQ beef sticks as appetizers and they also were very tender and flavorful. With non-alcoholic beverages our total bill was less than $50. We really enjoyed the food and will be back again!

After a long outing, my brother suggested we go to one of his favorite places for a relaxing dinner. We had such a wonderful experience at Chi Tung, the food was ammmmazing! The staff is friendly ,very accommodating and quick to serve. Their drink menu is top notched , there was a huge variety and also kiddie cocktails. It was such a great experience for the entire family. The hibachi experience did not disappoint in entertainment or abundance of food for our family. If you stop by say hello to my brother's favorite server Wai, he is definitely passionnate about service and ensures your experience is a memorable one!😁😁 The restaurant seems very popular especially during Hibachi night so expect some wait time...but the experience is worth the wait. I paid my Bill… gave a Tip… and the Waitress literally told me it wasn’t enough.. I didn’t have a big party… I didn’t have a lot of food….. I gave the percentage and what I felt my customer service deserved (which was bad) I know restaurant culture so I know how tips work… but good customer service gets you more money…. Customer service was horrible and it was barely any people there. Anyways… She would not leave my table until I gave her more money… which my friend Gave in order to avoid the conflict because another waitress approached my table….Yes!!! So now we have 2 people standing over our table !!! We literally just threw the cash at them..and left 😳😳 Worse experience ever! Guess we will just doordash cause I ain’t sitting in here again.

This place is a great fusion of Japanese, Chinese and other Asian culture food. While the sushi portions aren’t like places like “Sushi House” in Westmont, however it is still fresh..just about half the thickness of the fish cut. Crab Rangoon and the two rolls of salmon and tuna were good as well.

If I could give this restaurant no stars I would! Absolutely the worst customer service I have received in years! The way they handle their hibachi experience has completely changed from what it used to be... I felt completely uncomfortable and rushed to leave the table once the last bit of food was placed on everyone's plates, not more than 60 seconds after the food was placed they came with Styrofoam containers for to go.. not only did they provide the Styrofoam containers 60 seconds after the food came out but they then had the audacity to think that this next move is a 'good business model' which was to make the patrons leave the hibachi table that they were dining at to go in another room and have their dessert at a different table... I have never felt so uncomfortable in my life! The ice cream used to be served at the hibachi table , but I was informed by the manager (who was very dismissive of my view point and feelings) that they haven't done it that way for years... I'm truly in disbelief that people are ok with this type of treatment... and it's just the principal... no one wants to feel rushed... when you choose to dine-in you're not only coming for the food but you're coming for the experience... its no way I will ever come back and be treated that way!!! Save your money because they treat you like cattle here!

Chi Tung was a favorite of mine. Mostly eat hibachi. Last visit the food was cooked with a lot of salt and grease. I always order seafood, chef didn't use lemon on any of the seafood just salt and soy sauce. The food had a bland salty taste. Now for the bill. $134 for 2 people without any drinks and gratuity of $19. Food is now way overpriced. It will be a long time if ever for hibachi. Dining room food is ok and reasonable . Just stay away from hibachi. Was celebrating a birthday nothing special here.

I am not sure who owns this establishment but your Manager Elisabeth is running your business in the ground. She has a nasty attitude, she is rude and downright disrespectful. This is the second time I’ve had an issue with her in particular. The other staff are amazing and accommodating. Last night, we patronized the establishment and she of course was rude. She rushes the customers to eat this is hibachi. I’ve never been to a hibachi restaurant and their is a time limit to finish your food. She will bring containers, even for the liquor. Everyone should know that in Illinois you can’t take open liquor outside of the establishment. It is disgusting to be treated in this type of manner. Especially, spending a lot of money. To top it off this heifer gave my credit card to another patron assuming that because we were talking we knew each other. The scary part is she had no remorse. Had she allowed me to receive my card at the table where I gave it to her this never would’ve happened. I’m appalled and disappointed. I will never patronize this establishment again. If I can’t be treated with respect I will take my business elsewhere. To make matters worse, she followed me to me to the diner side of the restaurant laughing as if I was a joke. I didn’t give her the reaction that she wanted. Just know your business will soon suffer because of this. Utterly ridiculous and disgraceful!! 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

First time @ Chi Tung restaurant..went for my cousin birthday. The food was good. Our waiter was funny with his tricks😂 I like how the give the birthday person a free meal gift certificate and dessert for their birthday. Will be back again

Chi Tung is one of my favorite family restaurants. Food is good. Great variety. Reasonably priced. Excellent customer service. Good quality alcoholic drinks and beverages. Prompt and reliable service. A well-run good quality operation. Great for group settings. My wife and I love them whether it's carry out or dine in. I probably should give them five stars!!! I encourage you to go see for yourself!!!

My family and I went here to Chi Tung Evergreen to eat Sunday afternoon and we waited 2.5 hours before we were seated. We were overlooked and skipped over. We spoke up and the hostess lied saying she called upon us. BUT, my fiancé never moved from his waiting spot which was directly on the side of the hostess. She then told us rudely we’d have to wait for another table because she called upon us, COMPLETE LIES. No apologies No NOTHING! After waiting 2.5 hours to even be spoken to, as far as seating. We asked to speak with a manager, BUT was told by the hostess that she was unavailable to speak with us. Also, that she instructed the hostess to let us know it was nothing that would be done to accommodate us, we’d simply have to wait until other seats were available. The customer service here is VERY unprofessional, rude, horrible attitudes as if they’re giving out free food.

In the past this would have been a 5 star rating. The food is very good, portions very generous. The last 2 orders were missing food. The first time it was an appetizer, and when I called they offered to credit for my next order. The second time, they forget the rice to go with two of the entrees we ordered. The worst part was when I called, the employee I talked to stated "well what do you want"? Never apologized, no acknowledgement of the mistake, nothing. The atmosphere is dated and kind of dirty. There any many other good options out there. You need to step up your game Chi Tung.

Really good food and cocktails. Customer service was very friendly and helpful while we waited at the bar, enjoying our cocktails, and waiting for our takeout order. The restaurant itself is very large and charming with plenty of seating and is very clean. We ordered the combination fried rice, chicken fried rice, chicken with noodles, and vegetable egg rolls. Everything was made correctly, and I loved the level of heat 🌶 I asked for on the dishes, and everything was still nice and hot when I got home. Would recommend. 👍🏽

Dining here for the evening midweek was a great choice! Quick friendly service. Our waitress was knowledgeable, helpful & attentive. I had the veggie egg rolls w/ duck sauce, chicken & shrimp egg foo young gravy w/ steamed rice & virgin piña colada(pretty but no pics😔). The food came out quick, hot🔥 & fresh. My goodness! Nice plating & the servings were large. I thought to myself this is all for me?? Lol! Next trip here will definitely have to be hibachi! 😋

Always a amazing time here. What really surprised and impressed me is how quickly we were seated in hibachi especially on a major holiday.

Knowledge on how most restaurants are surviving the pandemic (COVID-19) is by adding a service charge on cash transactions. We normally leave 15% when we dine as a family of 4 and give generously when we receive awesome customer service. This time we was Not given a choice to do so because of the service charge was already added and when asked they gave this receipt instead of the original one and when asked was told that it was the original. I really enjoy taking my family here but unfortunately this will be our last. We do wish them continued success.

Pros: Enjoyed the hibatchi grill. The food was delicious. Got the scallops with lobster and it was BIG tasty. The chef was very entertaining and cooked the food well. Also ordered a mai tai and it was very strong. Overall very pleased with the food and the service. Cons: The $78 dollar bill included a $13.50 service charge! Like wtaf! Not happy about that at all. I always tip 20% but because of the service charge I tipped only $4 dollars which when added to the $13.50 service charge amounted to a little over 20%. I really hope some of this random rip off "service charge" goes to their servers as part of their tip.

We had the hibachi, and it was delicious! The filet mignon was so tender that it melted in my mouth. The chef was entertaining and a fantastic cook! I will go back again.

I use to LOVE this place. I have been going here for so many years. Lately I have been ordering and the food has been tasting horrible. At first I thought maybe, it was a bad day for the cook. When I order the last few times, again the food was horrible. It would be the fried rice cooked hard. I most time order the mushroom fried rice, the mushroom would be over cooked to where it's dried out and black. The shrimp was cooked until it was kind of mushy. I don't know what's become of Chi Tung, but this is not the place I've grown to love. I didn't want to give up on them just yet, so I ordered some fried rice and some egg food young. The food was so salty, it'll give you high blood pressure. The mushrooms were dried out. It was just horrible. They don't give you fortune cookies anymore and they stopped the get something free over $35. I spent almost $100 for food I couldn't eat. This couldn't be the real Chi Tung. I gave them my last try and I AM DONE. A loyal customer that they had for years is lost. I definitely know good food and this isn't it. People that have been going here for many years need to call them out. I've NEVER experienced any rudeness at this place. Truly I wouldn't tolerate it, I don't play games with being disrespected. I always had good service except one time when I was waiting for my food too long.

I don't think I need to say anything. I just love it here. Only been twice. Once for a table experience and recently for my birthday for the hibachi experience. They made me feel really special. Definitely will return.

This place is went down so much ,The food is not the same And they're so disrespectful And argumentative. I have found a much better spot right down the street on 91st it's more intimate. The Ambiance is Elegant and new so nice they' a little pricey but it's Worth It. fine dining.Much better food (Thithi Restaurant)

My friend had a birthday dinner here which was great because I been here before and loved it. However when i went it was way b4 covid. This time the manager was very rude! We went to dinner at 7pm on Thursday 9/9/21 whoever that female manager is needs to be fired. She doesn't have people skills or manners, and I will never spend my money there again!

Beautiful restaurant, with ample parking ad a reasonably short waiting time for seating. Our cook displayed good showmanship. The food portions were ample, but the proteins were overcooked. The chicken, steak and shrimp came out flavor ful, but rubbery. The vegetables, rice and noodles were , cooked to perfection, however. The "appetizer" we ordered came late to the party, being cooked and served AFTER the entrees. It was the only protein dish that wasn't cooked to within an inch of its life. A somewhat pricey experience, but will go again.

First time at a Hibachi restaurant and Chi Tung did not dissapoint. Your Chef Jim was very entertaining and his spatula, fork and knife skills were top notch. I will definitely go back soon. The food was delicious and you will be taking home a container as there is just so much to eat.

This was my first time visiting this restaurant. Everything was great. The food was Amazing, I didn't have to wait long to sit at the Hibachi table and the service was phenomenal.

Listen I love the food here but 14 dollars for this amount of chicken to be added to my order is outrageous, I could've gotten a whole rotisserie chicken for that price.
