Their sushi is excellent, great All You Can Eat, no complaints there. *18% service charge for all customers* As many have said, the service is terrible. Only 2 waiters at lunch. The woman does most of the work, she has no personality, but is occasionally polite unlike the man. He acts miserable & unfriendly. Doesnt say a word to me no matter how polite I am. They’re understaffed and in desperate need of competent waiters.

Great price for all you can eat sushi! There was no wait to be seated when we got there. The sushi was fresh. We ordered 3 sushi orders each. The menu was self explanatory. It was divided nicely for someone that is still learning about sushi. (Raw, cooked, vegetables, etc.)

The food here deserves 5+ stars. I have visited this restaurant many times, and my experience has been consistent! The staff is not trained, and their communication skills are below average! The owner gets stressed when people ask for all you can eat! We always came as families with friends, and every time we had kids, we were overcharged for them! The last time was last week. I had an 18-month-old toddler with me and had one spoon of my miso soup; the server came to me saying: we charge 9.99 for kids this age! I said he was 18 months old. He said yes, we charge 9.99 for two years old and younger! Seriously!!! Shame on you! I had been charged for that one spoonful of soup!! Yes, they charged me for a baby who doesn’t eat sushi!

This wasn’t the first time I left a review. It seems that the owner of the restaurant took off my first review of the restaurant last year, but I have another one. I recently went past Friday for my birthday and my fiancé paid. He showed me the bill after he paid and I saw that he was charged more than intended. I saw the charge and I thought it was the tax. At first I was shocked because it was big amount. My guy told me it was the tip that they added. They took out more money from his account without notifying us about the extra charge. My guy was going to tip them overall but on my end, I was shocked that they even bother in doing so. We only came here because we wanted to give them another chance. Now seeing what they did, we never plan on returning. Their service is rude and makes us feel uncomfortable when they’re staring us eat. They rushed us and gave us the bill right away when we got weren’t done yet. If they allowed to give zero stars I would do so in a heartbeat. 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻

Mizu used to be our favorite place to get sushi. Well not anymore. The wait service ( I believe the owner) is extremely rude. He actually rolled his eyes when I requested a side of spicy mayo. The food quality has gone downhill and the tip is now included which of course I didn't realize until after I had already paid. We will not be going back.

To start this review, I’d like to say I have frequented this establishment for around two years. That all ends today. The service has always been sub optimal and relatively dry but I didn’t mind because I was just craving some sushi and this place is very close to home. I dined there today and all I need to say is stay very far away. After our meal my brother and I both felt very sick and I even vomited severely afterward. The sushi was disgusting. The rice was raw and old. The fish was warm and slimey, and the after taste was horrid. I have had sashimi many times and I would not try any raw fish from this place as you might get a tape Worm! We tried to eat some of the food just so we could get our moneys worth. We sat all the way in the back and witnessed the owner/server microwaving her sushi! Everything was gross, this place wasn’t even that good before but it has absolutely fell off a cliff. We were charged extra for the sushi we did not eat which is understood for an all you can eat place I guess, but the owner/server was very rude and dismissive. Also they charge an 18% mandatory gratuity. As someone who’s worked in the service industry and tips well, I would not leave a tip. And I have NEVER not left a tip. Please if you want sushi you would even be better off just getting some from a gas station!!!

Not a bad spot for Sushi. Food is good, pretty fast service and overall hits the spot. Sometimes I feel a bit rushed to pay and leave but I get it, they need to prep the table for the next customer. No hard feelings tho, will come back for some more sushi.

My group and I ordered miso soup and sushi and they were fantastic! Some of the best-tasting sushi I have had and the space was clean and welcoming. We did not have to wait long for our food and service was quick. I recommend their all-you-can-eat menu!

HORRIBLE service absolutely terrible…. Ate all my food and instead of placing my napkins on the table I put it in the plate so it’s easier for them to clean up and they accused me of hiding sushi!. Rude waitresses.. tried rushing us out. Only been eating for about 30 mins and they kept asking us if we needed boxes and how we are going to get charged AS WE ARE EATING. Someone needs to fire all the workers here and get new staff!

Came for lunch. The food was yummy & fresh. A little dark inside, but overall. it was a nice local find. $24.95 all you can eat Sushi (before 3pm) & (I believe it was $29.95 after 3p) + 18% service charge was added (fyi). The menu was broken down well. The service was attentive. There was no wait to be seated. I’ll be back.

I use to love this place when I was younger... but it's garbage now. They include a tip which is like 18% and other fees that didn't make sense. They didn't do this before and it gives the vibe that they are only in it for the $$$ at this point and could care less about what they put out/ service. The sushi also tastes off, like Marianos does better. It's a bummer but oh well, hopefully they fix it before they go out of business

Food -very dirty old saved food served on my table, example, tempura, noodle microwaved to warm up and brought into my table, nasty. -sushi rice is very cold, no seasoned taste. Service -service lady was alright. Warning : tip already included on the bill (that's a steal) Present & future -I went restroom three times so far after I ate here due to some old food I ate. -I will not return this dirty place.

I really never ever post reviews, but I had to on this one. HORRIBLE SERVICE, they automatically tip too with your bill so even if you have horrible service they are getting tipped.. Idk her name but the women who was working at the time was absolutely so rude. My cousin myself and our kids under 5 years of age walked in during lunch hour for the all you can eat sushi.. to begin with it took her more than 15 minutes to come to our table to just simply bring us water and the restaurant only had another 2 tables with customers. She comes gives us water and throws the menu and just had a nasty attitude. We then ordered all you can eat for lunch and the kids got the noodles with chicken, the women told us the kids had to pay full price of $17 for alll you can eat if we planned sharing food with them, I said no it’s fine they will eat noodles and chicken but she insisted that it’s better to pay because there was no way we would be able to share if we didn’t pay for each of them all you can eat. Long story short she was so rude and the previous customers sitting next to us even said it would be the last time coming here due to the women’s rude ways of acting. She made us all feel so uncomfortable. Food itself is good but service sucks and ruined the afternoon for all. Need new management in order for customers to continue coming here.

First off, food was great and that is the only good thing I have to say. Service was horrible. It took them 40 minutes to get our drinks and another hour to get our food. Although they have an all you can eat menu, no one ever comes around to refill anything. I don't think I'll ever come back even though the food is good.

  • 1/5 Angel T. 9 months ago on Google
Where do I start? Food tastes good, so that's nice, but you can't taste the food that they forget to bring you. Bad service all around. We got there, no one said hi, took a little long to get us to our seat, even though 3 booths were open and two employees were out bussing & serving tables at a calm pace. Just felt ignored, & not even given menus while we wait. So we sit down, our group naturally starts conversing, but I try my best to quickly mark what I want on the all-you-can-eat menu. One of the ladys comes over, asks if we're done marking our order, I tell her no, I'm finding the last thing, and she yanks the menu out of my hand, saying "You can order more for second round!" Whatever. They give us our drinks, no issue. Throughout our stay, they clear our table of finished dishes, and offer to refill beverages, great, but there young girl there who serviced our table looked like she didn't even want to be there, and gave simple one-worded replies to stuff, without making any eye contact with anyone. Definitely didn't feel welcome, but whatever, I'll just finish my gyoza, mochi & leave. Well they brought no mochi. Forgot both me and my buddies orders. Ok I've had enough, I'm full anyway, had fun & fulfilling conversation with my friends, let's pay the bill & go. I was wondering why the bill was so high, much more than other comparable sushi places I've been to (I love sushi) but I gave them an extra 14% tip to thank them for running a place to have sushi & working every hard. Well I get home, inspect the reciept, and notice there's an 18% gratuity added on (for a party of 3?) that I wasn't told about. Now I'm bitter. Bad service, forgotten food items, sneaky over-charges. I'm never coming here again.

The food is great! It's ALL YOU CAN EAT but the service is terrible! I went with a group of friends and the lady snatched the ordering menu from our hands even though we told her we were not done ordering. She said it didn't matter because we can always order more. Forgot to bring us our desserts. Tried to charge us double for drinks, and charges 18% SERVICE CHARGE!!! Be careful!!

I know plenty about sushi places so I stick to the ones I trust, and I ended up going to this one because it was near my fathers physical therapy and its where my mother wanted to meet up. The water did not taste refreshing they need to check their pipes or not have it sit on the counter in a pitcher especially if it is dead in there. Many sushi places do not care about quality and will pick through the fish if it has maggots/worms etc. From the quality of the sushi I can tell this place is not one I would trust again. Sushi Nova is one I trust. Lastly the service was a bit rushed and not pleasant, I tip anyway for most places even if gratuity is built in (18% here) because I come from a world of serving. But they certainly did not deserve even the spare change in my pockets. Lastly a personal issue please spell check your menu it drove me crazy. Also they are hiring at 16 so please if you are in highschool help them out or they will continue to fall and no one should suffer to fail in business but some improvment is needed.

The best sushi around! I love their vegetarian sushi so much, It’s the only sushi place I’ll go to. Great staff, great food, great drinks.

There are worse places than this, but tldr, it felt like too much money for what it was. I know sushi is expensive. It is at any restaurant that serves it. I just don’t think it was worth the price I paid here. The waitress didn’t do a good job of tending to us. The place was almost empty and the only time the waitress came to our table without us getting up and calling her over was to hand us the menus. 2 of our 4 orders were incorrect when they did come, and the food came to our table in a highly staggered way. My brother’s meal got to the table significantly later than mine (on the order of about 10 minutes). When his food did arrive, he was missing a roll. I got 3 rolls in order to make the “all you can eat” worth the price tag, which admittedly is less than other all you can eat sushi places. It was 30 bucks per person and I’ve seen between 45 and 65 elsewhere. The food itself wasn’t inedible, but it wasn’t good either. The rice and seaweed were done well, but the shrimp wasn’t peeled and I ended up with bits of it in my mouth. The rolls were disproportionately overstuffed with cucumber and were lacking in flavor. I left this restaurant having paid much less for an all you can eat sushi dinner and still felt ripped off.

So happy to find an all-you-can-eat sushi spot in the suburbs near me. And Mizu Sushi House did not disappoint. I came in on a Friday night for dinner, and the place was packed to the brim! One of me favorite rolls I had a chance to try was the Warmth Roll, which has crisp apple in it. I had never had that before, and it was delicious. My only gripe is that the place is really too small for the amount of business they get. Surprisingly, service doesn't suffer too, too much. They let you place your order while waiting. BUT it's still a pain have to wait a good amount of time just to be seated and then to be squished up next to each other while eating.

***there is a compulsory 18% tip included in the check*** Other than the tip, the sushi was really good, best all you can eat sushi in the area. Seafood seemed to be fresh. Just please don't be stingy with the wasabi.

Food is excellent. Have gone many times. Just don't have an issue with the food brought to you. We had an issue with our meal last night and when we brought it to the main receptionist/waitress's attention she got all snotty with us. After that, she was no longer attentive to our table and I don't feel that the 18% gratuity automatically included was deserved.

One of my favorite sushi spots in IL! My ex introduced me to this place. We had trouble finding a place like this one in Cali but at the end, that "All-you-can-eat" deal is pretty nice and have yet to find a place like this one in San Diego. The staff was great and the atmosphere was perfect 👌 Will be back again!
