We chose Jen’s Guesthouse from great reviews and our friends recommendations. After all day of hard work, me , my husband, and our friends decided to treat ourselves and come here to enjoy our evening. However, to our disappointment the experience we expected did not turned that great . 1. When we received our ordered with prime rib instead of ribeye, we kindly asked that is a wrong order and to replace it. To our surprise the waitress shouted out that’s what we ordered and slammed the plates around as well as her tray. We were amused . We asked for a manger . She shouted back : “the manger is not in!!” 2. Our friend entry was served wrong as well. We didn’t have a chance to even mention it. And the risotto looked like it was eaten before . Look at pictures. 3. The young Waitress returned screaming and saying we were wrong . We decided to leave at that point. However , she started using the f… word . We were siting there with our mouths wide open. 4. On our way out, the bartender said “beat it”. And when my friend tried to wave good buy she flicked her off with a middle finger … ? • For a restaurant like this with a standard we understand challenges in everyone’s life but this behaviors is unacceptable. We appreciate the other staff that was kind and hopefully owners of this prestige restaurant would take action .

Beautiful venue but we were moved around during the middle of the wedding while the help broke down the tables and swept under our feet. We had to find our purse and jacket that were thrown on a different end table and forgot our umbrella because everything was taken almost 2 hours before the event was over. So I guess it's a great place if you're in a hurry.

Amongst the finest dining places in the west suburbs. Staff is welcoming and professional, able to handle a party of 25 hungry couples without a single error in orders nor checks. Delicious food, amazing selection of wonderful reds and white wines. Bar open late, served by enchanting owner Jen.

We went here for our 11th anniversary dinner, they had a card with a complimentary coupon. The food was amazing. Our waiter was super nice and able to give us recommendations when asked. The atmosphere was perfect. Can sit inside or outside. I would highly recommend.

A great 1st time experience. We celebrated an anniversary and the restaurant had a card and voucher waiting for us when seated. A VERY nice touch. Lala, our server, was exceptional- pleasant, friendly and helpful. While busy, it wasn't crazy. Instead it was cozy on the patio even with a private party on the landing above us. No music this night, but live music is played on certain nights. Call ahead to check. The interior is well appointed for a nice gathering either fancy or casual night out. The bar is a nice "snug" with a vibrant feeling, friendly staff. The guests seem to be enjoying the setting. We'll be back with a group of friends. Thank you for a great evening!

My wife and I travel to Chicago to visit our grandparents for the 4 of July weekend. The ambience was absolutely breathtaking and the customer service was par none! The food was delicious, a bit on the pricey side, but worth every penny. If ever in the area, I highly recommend visiting this restaurant, I don’t believe it possible to leave disappointed.

Went to a bridal shower there. Beautiful set up of Valentines Day. Perfect for wedding shower. My first time there. Hostess and a guest at shower informed me of summer time activities, entertainment on patio, fire pit. My only complaint was the food was cold by time our table went up there. Good choice of items.

Was at a private event here, and have been here in the past and had higher expectations knowing the food was good, and the actual environment was pretty; we had a baby shower here and planned everything out with Kristen. Kristen was not there for the actual event even though she was the event planner. The actual day of the event the staff was negligent of our whole event. They did not refill our UNLIMITED mimosas and appetizers. This picture... what is this.. crumbs? I didn't pay all this money for them to be empty and our family have to play hide and seek with the staff that was behind the bar talking instead of being present at the event refilling our food and mimosas! The food did not taste anything like the times I was there for dinner. Mind you the same waitresses were also doing another event! Kristen did not schedule enough people to help with the events as their staff looked already overworked. Lastly, Kristen stated that they would provide the utensils they said they would provide and ended up getting cake all over because what is a butter knife gonna cut?Was very dissatisfied with my event and did not get what I paid for! PERIOD. Big miscommunications . Need better planning . Beware !

My wife and I absolutely love Jen's Guesthouse. We had our wedding reception a year ago and came back for our 1 year anniversary and we were treated like family! Everytime we have been here the food, service, and atmosphere has been phenomenal. We highly recommend the pork chop and filet, as well as the parmesan crusted white fish, however, all menu items are fantastic. Come here and sit on the patio! You will not be disappointed

The prime rib($41) and the rib eye($58) were thinner and smaller than I am used to. While they were crowded, we were disappointed that our server forgot to bring out our salads and soups, ordered ala cart, prior to our meal. In fact, she forgot about them completely. When remind she sincerely apologized . No big deal! As a result, we were able to finish all of our meals. Nice restaurant with outdoor dining and live music. Our family has had many enjoyable dining experiences here. In my opinion, slightly overpriced for what you get in comparison to other spots within 20 minutes. Please do not get the wrong impression, I am being critical in my review. Jen's is definitely worth a visit. Many options on the menu, and very friendly service!

I went here for a dear friend's baby shower. The food was delicious, and the staff was very helpful, attentive, and friendly. I would definitely recommend visiting this place!

We, as a family, had a funeral luncheon here on December 8, 2023. The food and the services were both excellent. The place is clean, the staff is friendly, and I would definitely host an event here. We had the cream of chicken soup, salad, pepper steak with rice, fried chicken, and Rigatoni with sausage. ( may not have the name of the pasta dish correct but was delicious) Keep in mind this was a funeral luncheon, so specific menu choices offered. Which was a delicious offering. They were setting up for another event, which looked lovely, and it was beautifully decorated for Christmas. Thank you to the staff they were amazing. Thank you again for providing excellent service and food.

I came to Jen's Guesthouse for an event that was serving a family style lunch, so my review will only reflect that aspect of the restaurant. The entire staff were very courteous, and the service was excellent. The restaurant itself was extremely clean and very spacious. For family style, the food was above par and everyone really enjoyed it. All things considered, it was a really nice experience. P.S. We went back to Jen's for Mother's Day, and I had the GNOCCHI with shrimp, and it was excellent.

Had my daughter's bridal shower there recently. From the atmosphere, staff and the food. I highly recommend you to go for dinner or host a gathering there.

Went with friends to celebrate Fat Tuesday! They had a GREAT BAND ! It was a lot of fun, in the summer they have a beautiful outdoor patio, beautifully lit and always live entertainment and many other venues happening.

Fantastic meal!! Our waiter Keith recommended the scallop appetizer which was fabulous!! He also recommended the whitefish entree which was perfectly prepared with a delicious cream sauce. Finally the strawberry vanilla cake for dessert was nice- it’s light and not too sweet. Wonderful service in an absolutely beautiful setting!! I’m already looking forward to the next time

A lovely experience, really enjoyed all the lights on the patio at dusk. All our entrees were delicious, especially the eggplant parm. Four different desserts were equally excellent. Great staff would not be friendly. Can't wait to go back for the holidays to enjoy their decorations. Truly a destination restaurant

Our group of six, see each other every year for the past 10 years. We decided to have our gathering here around the holidays. This place was so festive and classy with all of the holiday decorations. Gorgeous is an understatement and can't grasp the beauty and time they put into presenting. Their food cost is at the higher end. You get amazing quality no matter what was ordered. Definitely a huge recommendation to the public looking for an elegant evening.

Very new age rustic scene. Servers were amazing and took care of our every needs. Food was amazing and hit the spot. The atmosphere was inviting but also private at the same time. Indoor and outdoors were truly well maintained and beautiful to look at. Parties, get togethers, work functions, you name it and it should be held here! 10/10.

Saturday night. No parking left. Circled twice before valet was at stand. Went to leave and valet no where to be found. Just grabbed my own keys...could have grabbed anyone's keys. No water refill. Had to ask for bread when every other table had it. Food was good. Rest not so much.

this was our 1st time at Jen's Guesthouse and it will NOT be our last. The setting and space are absolutely gorgeous. The food was truly delicious. Our server, Ana, did an excellent job with our large party! Thank you so much for making my Mom's birthday dinner so special!

I love this place so much! The staff are always welcoming and the food is exquisite. Waiters were very accommodating and the overall vibe is great. When it comes to desserts… oh goodness! Desserts are divine! The scenery is gorgeous and I wish more people knew about this place.

Our dinner was so delicious and beautifully arranged on the plates. Our server was lovely and took wonderful care of us. This restaurant has a beautiful view of their patio and a cliff that is immaculately cared for complete with bird feeders. However yesterday, children and yes the dad too decided to traverse this area and stay there for more than a little while. First of all this is very dangerous since there is a cement area below this cliff. I brought it to the attention of our server who said it was up to the parents to watch their kids. Management did not step in. Ruined the look of this peaceful gorgeous area.

First time here. Food is absolutely delicious! Had to save room for dessert. No regrets! 😁 Staff is amazing, hard working and SO nice. Can't wait to go back.

This was my first time at Jen's Guesthouse. We sat out on a beautiful patio-had wine, appetizers, and listened to live entertainment. Pictured is one of the appetizers-short rib tacos, which were delicious.

We hosted an event here on 12-31-21 and the entire process was excellent. Than you to Sarah, the Events Planner, for all of her assistance along the way. We HIGHLY recommend this restaurant for dinner or any small event. Great service, delicious food, and a wonderful ambience.

Kristi was our server and she is amazing and the food was delish. Chris was our bartender he was awesome. Mason took our photos he is so friendly and funny! 5/5 the entire team, food and atmosphere is amazing!! The photo is the stuffed green pepper.

I went to Jen's Guesthouse for a private event. I cannot say enough about how beautiful the venue was, how much excellent service we received, and the relaxing outdoor area. The food was also excellent, plus the house wine selections were much better than I anticipated. Overall, this is the best banquet facility I have seen or been to in the south suburbs

Lovely little venue that hosted my cousin's wedding and reception for around 70 people. No room for dancing, but great photos at the outdoor patio. The beef option at dinner was excellent.

Lovely little venue. The entrance door looks almost like a back door, but otherwise very nice. Tall ceilings. Food was delicious and they had decent portions for each - table enough for seconds (family style for a shower) Employees were kind and came by often to make sure we had what we needed.

Like anything great, not in the open nor easy to find. You’ll up for a nice surprise. Located in on the side of a beautiful elevation, which is rare in the Midwest, giving you a great sense of being in the middle of the woods (if sitting outside). The inside is just beautiful and gives off very nice and calm vibes. Dressed in (what I would call) traditional/rustic decor. The ambiance just makes your experience and food that much better. Just gorgeous. The restaurant is right next to an ample parking lot, and awaits you with plenty of sitting. The service is very friendly and inviting, adding to the charm of this gem of a place. The food, drinks, and THE deserts are all phenomenal. Every dish is well prepared and served deliciously. A delight! When weather permits, live music located in the back in this beautiful patio. A must visit! Enjoy! You can thank me later.

Amazing atmosphere and service! We will be back. This place has valet, outdoor patio dining as well. We were up the stairs on the patio and felt very comfortable. Enjoying the band singing in the background yet easy to hear each other. Must try mushroom Risotto.. i don't even eat mushrooms but i loved it!
