Well left a rating when I posted my first visits pictures over two years ago, I meant to leave a review later, and now is far later so here it is. On both occasions it was after a work day, and my buddy and me stopped in for a quick bite to eat. The first time went to Emmit's it was my buddy, his girl friend and myself. He got the "Sheppard's Pie" because he got it on a previous visit and he loved it, believe his girlfriend got a burger and I myself got a cheeseburger, and we all enjoyed the meal. The second time, well this time just my buddy and me, as his girlfriend was otherwise disposed. In any case we found that "Sheppard's Pie" was taken off the menu, I have to say he was little disappointed though these things do tend to happen, menus change go figure. We both ended up getting the fish and chips. Which was very tasty indeed. On both occasions the staff was extremely friendly, would suggest it is a good place to go for a some what quick bit to eat on your way home from work, with it's close access to the blue line and bus stops.

Super friendly place. I hear from another customer that the bartender was the best in town and yes, he was right! I asked for a margarita with a little spice in it and even though they didn’t serve that he went to the kitchen and grabbed a few jalapeño slices to add to my drink. I totally recommend this place. And it’s also right next to the blue line

I really love this place, but I did have one poorer experience. A week or so before the St. Patrick's Day festivities, I called the pub and requested that they play the rugby games since it was St. Patrick's Day and that's a very popular sport in Ireland. They told me that it wasn't a problem if I just requested it at the bar when I was there. I got there, and they put it on for a bit, but switched it to basketball. I asked every bartender I could find and ask for them to change it back, and they wouldn't. I know it might not be a huge deal, but I just find it a bit disrespectful to deny the request when I called well in advance and made the request and was told it wasn't a problem.

“When you lie, you lie with a beautiful person; when you cheat, you cheat death; when you think you need a drink, stop by Emmit’s!” You only have a week or so as this fine establishment is passing into oblivion like much of this section of North Milwaukee. But everyone there from the owners on down to the bartenders are soldiering on as only good Chicagoans can in the face of disaster. Who knows? Maybe our world famous city flag should now get its fifth star?!?!

One of the best Irish pubs in the country & a staple in Chicago! Everyone is so welcoming and will make you feel like you’re part of a family, great to go with friends but also find it perfect for dining solo. The Buffalo chicken wrap is my fav & always make sure to get a pint!

I was in town on business and my group met here after dinner. Chris was the bartender. Really great guy! He made our night! Chris opened up the grill even after they had shut it down for the night. He also poured a perfect Guinness round. Can’t tell you enough how professional and knowledgeable this guy was. Really amazing to have someone greet us with that level of engagement and pure enjoyment for his job. This will be a place I’ll visit every time I’m in a Chicago!

Favorite neighborhood establishment. Friendly bartenders and staff, Chris is the best, and Mellissa is awesome. Thank you for staying open, serving great food and drinks during all the city restrictions, and being a fabulous local establishment.

My niece took her mom and myself to the West loop area for dinner. The area has changed quite a bit. First time in Emmit's pub. It was crowded for a Friday night. Very nice. We had a couple of drinks. Met a couple of brothers from the St Louis area there. Very nice young men. It was a nice place.

Great bar with pretty meh food. The great thing is the food comes out quick! A little too quick.. it’s fun for game days and there’s always a ton of seating. It’s either dead or packed. I also saw a bunch of people playing chess last time. Maybe there’s a chess night? Mainly just a sports bar.

Lived across the street for 11 years and just this year started going here for a quick beer and a bite. Staff are pretty friendly, Guiness always on point and the burger or the other pub food can't be beat. It's a good place to go to.

Chris was an excellent bartender!! The appetizers were surprisingly good. Better food and drinks then you would typically get from a bar. Highly recommend the place!

The friendliest staff with a decent selection of Belgians. Ronnie, the owner, is always up for a quick chat. For a bar, they do serve some delicious food options. The blackened chicken salad is among my top faves.

This spot is the one I like best. I go to a lot of restaurants but to this restaurant I go the most. The stuff is very professional and the cooking they serve is so delicious. I never miss an opportunity to have a decent meal in this restaurant. I recommend this place with pleasure.

This is a great Irish pub in Chicago. The food is good and they have a solid beer selection and a good selection of spirits if that's your drink of choice. There's a lot of classic decor as well. The server Chris provided excellent service.
