I
recently
visited
Bar
Siena
in
Fulton
Market
for
a
Saturday
brunch
after
a
trip
to
the
Guinness
bakery.
The
bustling
restaurant
scene
in
the
area
can
be
overwhelming,
but
Bar
Siena
was
able
to
seat
us
right
away,
which
was
a
plus.
I
started
with
a
mocktail,
which
was
quite
good.
However,
my
partner's
Bloody
Mary,
while
tasty,
didn't
quite
live
up
to
its
promise
of
charcuterie
-
it
only
came
with
cheese.
A
little
piece
of
salami
would
have
been
a
nice
addition.
We
had
high
hopes
for
the
monkey
bread,
which
looked
stunning.
Unfortunately,
the
taste
didn't
quite
match
its
appearance.
The
whipped
cream
seemed
to
be
from
a
can
rather
than
freshly
whipped,
and
the
bread,
while
nicely
caramelized,
lacked
that
fresh
taste
I
was
hoping
for.
On
a
positive
note,
my
partner
thoroughly
enjoyed
his
focaccia,
describing
it
as
super
fresh.
Unfortunately,
for
me,
the
brunch
experience
fell
a
bit
short
of
expectations.
Overall,
Bar
Siena
offers
a
vibrant
atmosphere
and
prompt
service,
but
some
of
the
menu
items
may
need
a
bit
of
fine-tuning.
It's
worth
a
visit,
but
perhaps
not
the
ultimate
spot
for
a
weekend
brunch
in
my
book.
