There were different floors to the restaurant and we sat at the rooftop that was covered up. The elevator to go up with pretty sketchy but rest assured you are at the right place! The restroom is in one of the middle floors near what seemed like office space. The quality of the food and service was so good! It was one of the few places we could find open during the weekend in the area!

I used to love this place. I went yesterday and although I enjoyed my experience because of the people, I was not too pleased with our waitress. She wasn’t as attentive or as present as I would have liked her to be. We had to flag her down for plates, for refills on drinks, to order our food, etc. Good thing for her is that the gratuity was calculated into the bill. Otherwise she would have gotten less than the 18% that was calculated in. Their drinks are good and the food is okay. It is pretty hot on their rooftop but they periodically release a cool mist that brings the temp down. I would go back, just hoping we don’t get our same server we had before.

Plymouth bar and Grill The concierge at my hotel recommended Plymouth Bar and Grill for a good Happy Hour and scenic views. But the experience I had was the extreme opposite of good. Lauren, a server there approached my table to take my order, indicating the QR code on the table. I inquired about Happy Hour or any drink specials they might have and her response was a very dry “no.” She said all of the drinks, even beers start at $9, so I went ahead and ordered. When I asked for my check shortly after, I noticed a table topper advertising $4 Summer Shandys. I ordered a Summer Shandy draft, but I was charged more than double for mine. When I asked about why I wasn’t able to take advantage of the $4 all day beer special she said I ordered a draft. She didn’t bother mentioning this special when she was fully aware that’s what I was in the market for. No apology, no accountability, poor customer service and a complete lack of empathy for tourists. This same attitude was not displayed to other customers. In fact, she was quite courteous and bubbly to others. I’m sorry Plymouth Bar and Grill, your employee, Lauren is the reason I will NEVER come back there, and will recommend others do the same.

I love the food and place. However double check your credit card bill against your receipt. They will ask you to double tip. Because 18% was already include in the total charge. They ask you to tip second time.

A good rooftop restaurant in the loop with a great happy hour. The food portions are huge and with 50% of appetizers for the happy hour they make a great meal! The service is alright, they got the order wrong but we still enjoyed it and they were kind about it. Overall a good experience.

The place had a pretty decent looking menu for reasonable prices considering the location, plus a neat view. However, I got up and left after twiddling my thumbs for 15 minutes while 3 servers were preoccupied talking behind me the entire time. It's funny reading other reviews because it seems like a common problem.

Tucked away at the south edge of downtown, it’s a great spot to jump into for a relaxed lunch. Menu has enough options to please most anyone, staff are friendly, and the view towards the library are stellar. Nothing fancy but we came with a big group, including a toddler and an infant, and they accommodated us all!

Completely dissatisfied with the service, my boyfriend and I arrived and sat at a table for 20 minutes without being served, meanwhile there were girls standing in front of the bar, I think waiting for drinks from the bar to be ready, instead of serving whoever was waiting meanwhile, they just stood there. I got up and asked if someone could help us and that we were there for 20 minutes and nobody went there to check on us, she said she would take care of us, I got back to the table and left she us waiting for another 7 minutes and then my boyfriend and I decided to leave, without even having access to the menu, water or any kind of service. Extremely horrible service, will never go back. Feels so unwelcome.

Great Buffalo & bbq wings. Great customer Favorite waitress is Angela. The drinks get you right where you need to be and the music playlist is up to date. I would absolutely recommend going here, just to let your hair down. Drink some good drinks, have some laughter with your girlfriends or even date night. 10/10

Loved it here, only bad thing I have to say is their fish and chips tasted cheaply made. Otherwise, I loved their chicken tacos. Drinks were good and the rooftop view was amazing. Actually came here twice on our three day trip so that speaks for itself. Definitely a must see vibe if you can only go walking distance.

Slow service, mediocre food. We had to wait 15 mins for a server, and had trouble flagging them down to order food after we got our drinks, and had trouble again when we wanted to get our tab! It's like they forgot we were there every single time, despite being one of the only tables sat on the patio. Won't be returning. There's much better rooftop patios in Chicago.

The rooftop offers a space for couples. The intermittent misting of water was surprisingly refreshing on a warm night. There is an elevator (capacity of six) as well as stairs. Large parties beware if you need to split checks, confirm before ordering. Also check your final bill. We were charged for an item that we did not receive.

Went to visit my niece's new place and we walked here for a quick bite to eat. The atmosphere was very chill and the food was super tasty. The Ole Burger was phenomenal 😋 would definitely go back

Food was good and reasonably priced, and the view was good but the service wasn't great. My coworkers decided we will probably not go again. I couldn't see (was facing out) but apparently we weren't being timely waited on because the waitresses were either on their phones or watching TV. I'll probably try it again and sit at the bar.

Plymouth allowed for me to have a wonderful experience! For the past couple of months, I was trying to find a place to host a surprise marriage proposal. Multiple places that I sent request inquiries to were either overpriced or would not accommodate me for my number of guest. When I got in contact with Kyla, she made everything beyond reasonable and allowed my vision to come to life. I was able to have all 30 of my guest in attendance, the back portion of the rooftop with great view. May I mention, that I had a wonderful spread of food and drinks that was very affordable. The servers, Edita and Nadia were well on top of things. Mind you, I was running a couple of hours behind, and all of my guest were tended too. Plymouth customer service is beyond superb and has a great social ambiance. Anyone who is looking to host an event or is just looking for a great place to have a night on the town, I would highly suggest Plymouth. Thank You Plymouth for making my vision come to life! By the way, my girlfriend is now my fiancée! She loved every bit of the place!

Great atmosphere!! Sunday evening in August perfect temperature! Not crowded. The food was so delicious I had the chicken wrap with avocado chipotle sauce cheese lettuce and a side of sweet potato fries. So yummy!! The food came so fast and my server was friendly and prompt! I also ordered a strawberry mimosa which hit the spot perfectly blended. Highly recommend!!

Food is amazing!!!! Very big portions so you don’t need to order so many sides if your with a group!!! 🫣 service was slow but friendly! As a Wisconsinite I recommend the the cheesecurds! (Don’t tell my people! Lol)

Came here for a solo happy hour. The outside is a little sketchy, but there was a police car posted so I didn’t feel unsafe. You can take the elevator or stairs up to the rooftop. It’s definitely a “no frills” type of place so don’t expect anything trendy or fancy. The house margarita wasn’t very good but my waitress suggested a mango margarita with Tajin and it was great! Also ordered the cheese curds that were piping hot and delicious. The service was fast and attentive. I would return for happy hour.

Go past the blowing youth at the trainstation and enter the elevator to the fourth floor and enjoy an unique setting on a summer evening in Chicago. Good beer and standard food, but good service.

Food came out cold. Spinach artichoke dip look old and microwaved. Wait staff was slow, spent more time talking to each other then helping customers.

This place is probably the best place in the loop for happy hour. The food and apps are excellent and really hit the spot, however the service, is pretty bad. I felt as though we had to signal to our waitress too many times even though she was just standing around but somehow, the food was always Piping hot?! To my dismay, they have begun to add fees to their service. The first is a 3.5% charge on for credit cards and the 15% gratuity on all checks post 8pm.

Solid 4/5 spot. Rooftop is great for a summer night. I’ve been here a handful of times. It definitely not amazing, but neither is it bad in any way. Great to just chill, hang out, and munch on some grub before finding another spot.

I’m visiting from out of town. The overall experience at this place was horrible. Ordered sliders which came with literal pickles as the side. 2 pickles. Not the long sandwich pickles but 2 round, sliced pickles. The servers were too busy talking and kept having to be called over to assist us. The atmosphere was not welcoming at all. The drink machine must be broken because the soda tasted like flavored water. The view is horrible. Like…..just don’t waste your time or money.

Great food and great drinks. I stumbled across this place by chance and was very happy that I did. The roof top bar was great and the street was pretty quiet in the evening.

Horrible service, stupid rules on split checks, servers standing around doing nothing, no napkins. Also a bit overpriced. Flavors of the food were decent.

Water tasks like mildew. When brought up to server, it's a known issue by staff. Health inspector should review this place because the water could legitimately make people sick. Food was decent I recommend the burgers.

Stopped by with a friend from out of town. Fun place busy even on a Wednesday night. The service was excellent from the hostess to the server. Food is decent.. our kabob appetizer was good, salads are huge. Wraps are soggy and good, not great. Definitely a cool spot to hang out and get drinks and maybe a small bite

At night there is a view of the Washington library and a train station, which makes for some pretty pictures. The service was extremely slow and the bartender was really rude. There was an older gentleman, maybe a manager who brought us waters and tried his best to get the bartender over to our table, but even so it took a very long time to get drinks.

This is the view, the Harold Washington Library, from the rooftop bar at the Plymouth. Noise level just right for energy but not deafening. Fast efficient service. Really good guac. Lots of age groups, young, old (us) and inbetween. Fun place to finish out our 3 day Chicago visit. We'd go again.

Really great place, drinks were amazing! I loved the Blue Hawaiian. And we went there on my birthday and they gave me a free lemon drop so nice!
