I posted pictures of 80$ burnt steak vs my 15$ filet cooked perfectly at home. And my perfect veggies compared to their burnt dry asparagus stalks. To start off the salad is the same you get out of a bag from the grocery store. We ordered 2 7oz filet mignon. They were more like 5oz. We ordered medium rare. They were burnt with barely a sliver of pink. Tasted like burnt carbon. Charred is an understatement. Absolutely zero seasoning on the meat. When sent back they brought out another filet, somehow more burnt on outside while completely raw and cold in the middle. My wife ordered a side of asparagus and it was dry and also burnt black. They didn't even bother to cut off the bottoms. How anyone would want to waste money on extremely overpriced, unseasoned, and frankly disgusting food is beyond me. There was a frat house party or something along those lines with a table of 10 or so LOUD drunk guys that kept doing some yell-cheer that was a few lines long and disrupted the entire restaurant. The atmosphere is terrible. The complimentary valet takes about 20 mins and you have to stand in the crowded front area to avoid the group of people smoking cigarettes right at the front door. I cook better steak and provide better service at home. I'll post a pic of my filets vs their burnt hockey puck.

Well, what can be said for one of the top steakhouses in the country. It is expensive and everything is a la cart. The prices in the menu can be a little scary, but the steaks that came out were worth every penny. The staff were attentive but not hovering, even though the restaurant was not full. It is a place to try once for a big occasion. Come hungry and leave very very full

Lovely atmosphere and the service were wonderful. Our waitress was attentive and explained the menu. We ordered whitefish, which was absolutely delicious, and the portions were very generous. For dessert, we ordered the creme brulee. It was also a great portion and perfectly made! I highly recommend it.

Had brunch at Gibson on a beautiful day where we got to seat outside beside a small waterfall and floral garden. Quite an amazing atmosphere. Interior is also very nice, roomy, wooden furnishing and warm-dim atmosphere (typical of steakhouses) but I much prefer the vibrant outdoor! The steak was excellent. We ordered a tomahawk on bone, medium and it was cooked to perfection, lightly charred on the outside and so juicy and tender inside. The flavors were simply divine. Crabcakes were also excellent with generous good sized proteins in it. Presentation of the food however was really lacking. The $15 salad in particular were rough chopped and thrown onto plate stuff. It really blows my mind how a restaurant like this could have such care-less attitude when it comes to presentation. Yes yes, its the taste that counts, but presentation can make or break the mood on the table too~~

A prime spot for happy hour, lunch, work meeting or hosting your next event. A go to place when we're in the area for lunch or just a spot to sit at the bar sipping on drinks after some shopping. The sliders and the Cobb salad are our forever favorites. The staff is amazing, super knowledgeable on their entire menu and their bartender is always spot on. Have never had a drink i didn't like at this place. Their valet is complimentary so dont worry about going round and round trying to find a parking spot!

This Gibsons location is in Oakbrook and it's as good if not better than the original one downtown. This location is always busy too and you should make a reservation in advance. I like to sit at the bar and get a pre-dinner cocktail and listen to the Plano player. I have dined at this location on numerous occasions but my recent visit I got the 1 pound Alaskan King Crab legs, while expensive at $140 they are delicious and pre-cut which I appreciate. We also got jumbo shrimp cocktail as an app along with the delish free bread basket. I also got a house salad to start my meal. My SO got the lamb chops and said they were amazing. We also got a double baked potato to split, and it was super cheesy and delish too. I got a double espresso and spumoni ice cream to finish my meal. Everything was great and the service is always on par.

This place is still one of the best steak house restaurants around the Chicagoland. The service used to be phenomenal and everything was spot on. After the covid-19 pandemic the service slipped, our waiter was very slow and he also made a lot of mistakes with our table's order, he just kept getting one thing after another wrong. I have to admit that he did go above and beyond to correct his mistakes with the food orders. The atmosphere here is business like and laid back, I really enjoy seating at the bar listening to the piano player before and after dinner. The food is still very good, but the prices have risen substantially higher, while the level of service has fallen. The one thing that I would like to point out, is that the staff here is willing to go above and beyond to make almost any dish requests regardless if it's on the menu or not. They are willing to accommodate any reasonable special request, to make sure that your dining experience is a phenomenal one. We asked if they could grilled our Australian lobster and chop it up in small pieces as an appetizer and they did an amazing job. I requested that they partially cook my porterhouse steak in the oven and finish off on the grill, to prevent too much outside charring and they did a phenomenal job. Unfortunately not everyone at our table got exactly what they ordered, but we all compromised and it all worked out just fine.

Way overpriced for mediocre steak. I have had better steaks at equally rated restaurants and less rated. I was rather disappointed in relation to their reputation. It was good service but steak was dry, not cooked at requested temperature and the quality of meat was not that good. I literally had a better ribeye at Texas Roadhouse. I really cannot believe the quality for the $82 value. I had a much better steak at Joe's downtown. I shall not return.

Great location and perfect steak options. Everything was delicious and service was exceptional. Our table was almost an hour late although my group of 7 had a reservation but they got us free appetizers so that was a very welcomed gesture. If you crave a good steak this is the place to go.

Nice place. Crowded bar. Nice servers. Food good. Not a steak gal, so somewhat wasted on me perhaps… but had a great time! Spectacular cocktail! Botanic ? (grapefruit vodka, Prosecco & bitters), fabulous bread, yummy crab cakes, fish entree-just ok.

Came here to celebrate my birthday with my family. After all these years, the experience hasn't changed. From the time you walk in to the time you are seated, you are always greeted. Great care is taken to make you feel welcome. Very knowledgeable staff to help you with your selection. Everything we ordered came out perfect. Great portions. Leave room for dessert. Will be back soon.

We had a lovely time at this place. The service is wonderful! Restaurant is clean and crisp. Service was quick and portions are HUGE. We ordered 3 meals and had left overs although we were 4 people. The dessert were huge. One dessert is enough for 4 people! Our whole chicken was good cooked but a little bland. I was hoping on a butter rosemary sauce to put on the chicken. Or a butter garlic. But without that the chicken missed taste! I would give a 4 for this. The fish was delicious. Veggies outstanding, ribs had a blackish look. Didn't really liked it 100% but it was good anyways. This restaurant is out of our budget normally but our daughter graduated so we celebrated! Restaurant gave her a free dessert! 😋 made our day! Thank you!

This place has a somewhat understated upper-class vibe. Observing the patrons, you can tell they all have plenty of money, which makes sense, based on the prices on the menu. The atmosphere is energetic yet refined. Table conversation verges on shouting near peak dinner rush, but there remains a certain elegance to the experience. Service is very disciplined but not overly pretentious. Ultimately, though, it is the quality of the food that completes the 5-star level of dining experience at Gibson's. Every dish is carefully crafted with the best ingredients, combined in exceptionally flavorful ways and presented beautifully. Will return the next time I'm in town.

When it comes to the food ... simply delicious!!! Stakes were grilled to perfection, sides were juicy, crispy, and flavorful depending on the side. One of the best lobster 🦞 bisque ever! Drinks strong and delivered fast to your table. Service attentive, accommodative and knowledgeable. Whole place was lively, busy and wonderfully normal....no COVID Sacre in the air.

Truly an exceptional experience. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was inviting and elegant, setting the stage for a memorable evening. The star of the show, of course, was the steak itself. The quality of the meat was outstanding, cooked to perfection with a delightful sear on the outside and a juicy, tender interior. It was a carnivore’s dream come true, and I savored every bite. What truly elevated this dining experience, however, was the impeccable service provided by the amazing waitstaff. From their warm welcome to their expert recommendations, they made us feel like royalty throughout the meal. They were attentive without being intrusive, and their knowledge of the menu was impressive.

The lunch menu was absolutely delicious. We had the fish special with asparagus and mashed potato’s. The fish and potato’s was melt in your mouth smooth. The servers was tentative and thorough. Will defiantly come back to try their dinner menu and cocktails! Their location of the resturant is very easily assessable from the highway and major roads.

We visited Gibsons Steakhouse in Oakbrook to celebrate my buddy’s wife Birthday. We had no reservation but we were seated after a short wait. Everyone was very friendly. Even that the staff members were wearing masks you can tell that they are happy working there. Our waitress name was Jenn and she was example of a great customer service. She was very attentive and offered us a great suggestions in terms of drinks and food. I wasn’t feeling like having a steak because I already had steak numerous times this week and I wanted something else. She recommended their seabass. You may not expect a good seafood at Gibson know for the quality of their meat, but the seabass was “out of this world”. It was so delicious and very well balanced with the side. I have a good appetite and I forced myself to finish the portion, while the birthday girl needed a little help as the portion was a little too much for her. For a desert we got Carrot cake, and I can tell that honestly I never had a better carrot cake anywhere else. We were offered boxes at the end so we can take something home if we desire. The Manager Nicholette was running the place with fines and making sure all customers are happy. I noticed her “touching” every table. I had nothing but the Best to say about the food, drinks and Jenn’s service. Gibsons in Oakbrook is getting on top of my list! Thank You for the great service, delicious food and good drinks!

We brought our dad for his birthday dinner this past Monday. Our server Jeremy was excellent and very kind. The food was brought out quite faster than we had expected, which is great because we were hungry. We started out with a bottle of red wine, Decoy by Duckhouse. Our appetizers came out shortly after. The jumbo crab cake and the single serving of the shrimp cocktail were both delicious, shrimp was very fresh. Our entrees came with either house salad or soup. All of our entrees came out at the same time, lovely! Everything was delicious! The complimentary birthday dessert was vanilla ice cream with whipped cream and chocolate syrup. We ordered a second dessert, crème brûlée, and it was phenomenal. The hard sugar topping was nice and thick. Overall, a great experience. Glad we came on a Monday when they weren’t too busy.

Dinner Guy Here, Lots of Fun, Great food and Service. I came here with my brothers and my father to celebrate 3 of the 4 of us getting married within a year. Had the WR Steak cooked the Pittsburgh way which was new way for me and I really enjoyed it. Brenda was our server and she was awesome. Definitely worth the pretty penny for such a memorable meal and good times.

I love Gibson's for their burgers and oysters for food, and their Lemon Drop Martinis. The steaks are always just meh to me. The normally have pretty good service. This particular time we visited for my husband's birthday. We had a great time / good atmosphere. I ordered the Bone-In Grass-fed Filet Mignon. It was just ok, absolutely not worth the price. The grilled salmon is phenomenal, and I always love their mashed potatoes with red wine reduction gravy, grilled asparagus with parmesan. Delicious!

Great Friday night out! Solid steakhouse with the regular suspects ie outstanding steaks, sides, wine and desserts. We had the 7oz filet, which didn't look very pretty on the big plate, but tasted yummy and melt in your mouth. Also 20oz prime rib which looked spectacular and huge! Sweet potato and baked potato were both substantial. Baked potato wasa tad simple with just butter and sort cream. Bottle of Malbec wine rounded out the ever. Chocolate chip cookies to go❤️

It was my first time visiting as I live out of state. Our server, I believe his name was Kevin, was excellent. Memory like an elephant. Answered all our questions with recommendations and suggestions. I got oysters for an appetizer and they were fresh and tasty with freshly graded horseradish & house cocktail sauce. Yum! My steak, New York Strip, came perfectly cooked, medium rare & the sides were also tasty. My coworker got the Seabass on the server’s recommendation and said that it was the best fish dish he’d ever had.

Bar none my favorite steakhouse in America. Valet service is always fast and friendly. Check in is basically never a wait if you have a reservation. Servers have ALL been exceptional and I come here a lot. The food is always good like every single time. I’m a steak person so the filet is awesome and you literally need no steak sauce. All sides are good portions and the desserts are huge like one cake can feed four people 😳😇. If your in oakbrook this the spot.

19 oz strip was very good. Filet was delicious and cooked to perfection. Brussel sprouts had good flavor. Desserts are huge! Reason I didn't give 5 stars is because the cocktails are tiny for the price, and the only soup option was chicken noodle. Which had good flavor but one tiny piece of chicken.

What an amazing place for a wedding!! The service is top notch and the food was prepared perfectly! My only complaint would be that they need a larger bathroom on the lower level for their wedding guests. We cannot wait to return to visit the restaurant.

The food was OK. My steak was slightly undercooked but still tasty. The carrot cake was very bland and tasted like it had been in the fridge for a few days. The drinks were good. Service was a bit lacking. The atmosphere was pretty boring, made me sleepy. It was a Monday night to be fair.

The food was excellent. Crab cocktail was great. My mother and I had the whitefish, it was so good you did not even need the sauce that came with it. My father had the pork chop and he said it was excellent. The service was top notch. The one busser, very on top of his section. Our server, Dianna I believe, was absolutely wonderful. Knowledgeable, attentive, quick, and whitty when she needed to be. She's excellent at reading people. Reacted and behaved accordingly! An overall delight. It was my birthday, so I didn't say anything until the end, but she didn't hold it against me. I felt like too many people were claiming birthdays this evening.

Excellent Porterhouse Steak! Recently, I went here for the first time and my porterhouse steak and my wife's grass-fed NY strip steak were both top notch. The steaks both came out rare and red the way we ordered them. Sometimes places overcook expensive steaks, but that was not the case here, so I guess their chefs know what they are doing. We had some kind of chocolate chip cookie and vanilla ice cream dessert and that was great as well. We sat outside near the waterfall and the atmosphere was very nice and romantic.

Went for Valentine's Day dinner. It was very busy but staff were very attentive and knowledgeable. Great atmosphere and ambience. Or waiter was wonderful! The food is absolutely delicious and you get decent portion sizes. I had the lobster bisque soup and miso marinated Chilean sea bass. Both dishes were wonderful and cooked to perfection. I frequent Gibson's a few times per year for special occasions and am never disappointed. Ordered the carrot cake dessert to take home. Very large portion, it's about a quarter of a large cake and enough for 3-4 people. Moist and tasty! We also love the valet parking, it's very quick and efficient.

As always Gibsons is the best. Had a reservation and were sat immediately. The service is per usual impeccable and the food just as good. If we want a good steak we always go to Gibsons. It’s worth pointing out that their take on elote as a side is outstanding. The other sides we ordered (creamed spinach, baked potato, mushrooms) were also very good. Also get some oysters, they’re very fresh. If you can try and save some room for their desserts. They’re enormous.
