This is one of those places that you walk into and you immediately know you’re going to laugh and have a good time. It reminds me of a bar in a sit com that makes you think to yourself “I wish I had a bar like that in my neighborhood” The staff here is so friendly and funny. I always sit at the bar This is the first place I think of when someone says “wanna grab a drink?”

Amazing brewpub in downtown Chicago. Awesome atmosphere and outdoor seating is nice. The bar is nice too. Service is really great. Our server was fantastic. Menu is small but everything seems great. Salad and wings were great. We saw burgers at the table next us, those looks awesome. The beer was also really good and you can get most in cans to go. Highly recommended!

Another good place to get some pizza. I got a tavern cut style pizza here, and it was good. The service was pretty quick as I asked for it to go because I knew I wasn't going to eat it all right away. I got the pepperoni, banana peppers, and Basil one.

Stopped by for happy hour. Did the four beer flight and the pretzels. It was a great way to try several beers and the staff helped with our selections. The pretzels were hot and fresh and very good. Great spot in a great part of town.

I don’t know what happened to this place. I used to love dropping in here for a burger and a beer after work. Came in at 9:20pm tonight with the music off and the bartender telling me I have time for “ONE ONLY.” Why would I want to do that? This is one of several times that I’ve come in and they’re closing obscenely early. These are very strange hours for a bar in one of the hottest spots in the 3rd biggest metropolis in the US. Like, there are bars in suburban Houston open later than this. Might want to update your hours in Google Maps, it says you’re open til 11pm tonight. Done trying to give you my money.

We sat at the bar and had a guy be super creepy, staring at us for over an hour, wouldn’t leave us alone and and the bar staff did their best to get him out and make us feel more comfortable. Very appreciative of their attentiveness. And also great beer selection and the pretzel was delicious :)

I've been to Haymarket several times - the food is very good and shows in the backroom are fun. But last Monday, the waitstaff went to great lengths to help my family and deserve a particular shout-out. My 85-year-old mother was experiencing a medical issue and wasn't going to make it back to my apartment. A young woman saw them struggling to make it home, unlocked the front door, and ushered them to the back bar so my brother could get the car to take my mom home. That kind of kindness deserves 5 stars!

Really dug the look of this place, and their bartenders are cool and attentive. Wish we were hungry cuz their food looks bangin, but ain't no hate. Good beer, good staff, good environment.

Beer selection is incredible and the beer itself is great! The service and food were both fantastic. Super yummy and portions are more than enough! So glad we found this place.

Great visit here! The food needs a little salt for my liking, but it’s so full of flavor. Bar food is always a bit greasy so that didn’t bother me. What’s really awesome about this place is that so much is made in-house. The Southern Carolina BBQ Sauce is where it’s at! We LOVED the sweet potato tots too. There were too many beers to choose from so we got flights to spread the love and everything was great except the Stout. I’d never lower a review over a beer flavor though because it is what it says it is. It’s the truest stout I’ve ever tasted, but it was just too bitter for my liking. All that said, this place easily deserves 5 stars. We enjoyed it and it was well worth the 30 minute commute for us to try it!

$9 a pint but they have a nice selection and a good mount of seating indoors. The blackberry wheat was something I hadn’t tried before and it was good. Great spot here.

Excellent beer and food! They smoke their own homemade sausage! The beer was really awesome- especially the IPA’s! Highly recommend California Dreamin and the Mathias!!! The food was so good and the portions were great to make this your sole meal of the day! Went on Christmas Eve and had great service and a really knowledgeable bartender/server to help with beer choices! Another on the repeat list!

Had a great experience! The food was great (we had the nachos with pulled pork and the pepperoni pizza). Beer was legit as well, I had a couple of the IPA's. Really liked the atmosphere, was low key and several people had their dogs chilling with them on the patio. The surrounding area is also really cool, with nearby shopping, bakeries and ice cream. Will definitely be saving for a repeat next time in town.

My friend and I popped in for a while to celebrate her 30th birthday. The staff was kind and helpful. They make their own hard seltzer in house. The strawberry basil was great! The drinks were strong, well priced and we even tried the “Chicago right of passage”…. A shot of Malort.

We are from out of state and hadn't been there before. I don't recall our server's name but she made great suggestions and provided excellent service. Will definitely be back again for the nachos with chicken.

Service is terribly slow and mixed drinks are decent. The selection of beers is wide and considerable. The atmosphere is great but not enough to distract from the lack of service. Plenty of TVs to watch events. Overall there is nothing that sticks out about this brewery compared to a regular pub or bar.

Good pub with nice selection of handcraft beers and several screens behind the bar showing sports games! Worth a try on W. Randolph Street.

First time here. The food was really good and there was a good drink selection as well. We always appreciate anywhere that allows kids. It wasn’t crowded at all and our server was really nice. Fast service.

Tried to visit this place with some coworkers after work to have a beer before our dinner reservations and we were turned away. When we asked for a table or if we could stand near the bar, we were told they could not accommodate us. We had 9 people.

We decided to go to another close place to eat burgers but they told us the waitlist was 2 hours. Across the street we found this place to drink a beer and wait 2 hours but finally ordered burgers here. They were delicious and our waitress Samantha is the best and lovely of all. She was the one that made us change our minds.

I dropped into Haymarket for a quick bite and a drink. The place was relatively full but I was able to sit in the bar area. The server was friendly and prompt. Their beer menu is quite extensive, so if you're looking to try some fun beers, this is the place. I ordered the chicken wings and was pretty disappointed. They had a generic sauce and were very small for the price paid. I still have yet to find a great place to get wings in the West Loop. Haymarket is a nice place for a quick bite and a wide selection of beers. I would certainly come back for a drink, but probably not food.

Stumbled upon this gem on Christmas Day. Was met by the owner Eric and he easily went above and beyond. Love the venue and the beers. Will definitely be back.

Had a majority of their beers and been here a few times because it’s near au cheval so my friends and I have gone a few times since there’s always a wait there. Their beer menu never seems to change over the years and all the beer is pretty average. Vibe is very low key and boring. Very average brewery that just happens to have a great location

Was surprised how empty the place was during prime brunch/Sunday football. Service was excellent and did was unique and tasty. Had the biscuits and gravy, and my buddy had their hash. Both were excellent. I'm my dish, the sausage had cinnamon and maybe nutmeg. These flavors can easily be too strong for my preference, but in this case, it was subtle and very well balanced. I would definitely order again. Finally service was excellent and helpful.

My friends and I are alcohol free. We wanted to grab a burger on a Saturday afternoon. We went to Au Cheval which had their usual line. We didn’t have time to wait so we walked across the street and found Haymarket Pub. I’m going to start with the positives. Diana our server was very good. The French fries were delicious! She was nice and tried to accommodate our dietary choices. I’m grain free and most places nowadays have a bunless burger! Not this place! Both of us ordered the Big Mick without bun, no cheese no special sauce. The kitchen served both patties on top of shredded lettuce as they don’t have lettuce for wraps. The burger was dry and had no pinkness or juice. I slathered it in their own mustard they make. I’m a big mustard lover however, this mustard was very heavy on the vinegar which almost made me choke. When our bill arrived they charge .75 extra for the vinegar/mustard called Carolina Mustard and add an 18% dine in service charge and the bill has a line item for additional tip. Will not return.

Great food options, a little highly priced beer selection, friendly staff.

First off this place brews their own beer (Strawberry Seltzer is my favorite). The Burgers & Pizza here are better than any place I have been in Chicago. The service is awesome, atmosphere is fun and there is always parking. It has become the only place I go for drinks! Worth the drive from anywhere in town!

We had an engagement party at Haymarket for about 60 people and the team, bar, and food were awesome. They were super flexible and accommodating to help us get a menu sorted and the Food + Beverage minimum was very reasonable. The back space was awesome, they let us decorate it however we wanted, and the service was great for the full 3 hours and then some. Definitely happy we had our party here and would recommend it to others

We hosted our wedding afterparty at Haymarket. We had a great experience. The events director reserved a private room for our 40 person party. She was communicative and helpful throughout the planning. Very casual event, the room had darts and pool tables. We were able to bring in our music playlist. We arranged appetizers ahead of time, off the menu. We had two bartenders who were fantastic -- even convincing our Miller Lite drinking friends to try something different. The food was perfect and the beer excellent, of course. I would recommend Haymarket for any large gatherings. Great staff, great food, great beer.

Great beer in general. Good options! Not a lot of different food, but whatever you get will be good!

The beer selection is on point! Haven't had a menu item I didn't enjoy. This is for sure a neighborhood staple. If you haven't been in here, get here!! The whole place is beautiful, with dark wood and low lighting. They have an open kitchen, which speaks to the quality and cleanliness of a restaurant. Bathrooms always clean, staff always super friendly. Several dining areas with loads of space, booths, tables, AND high tops, with a game in every direction. Got a little tour and saw their event room. There's a separate bar and pool table. Great for private parties! I highly recommend. The only thing that I was confused about was the kids menu., But no worries, they DO have one! My kids loved the cheese pizza! We will be back!

I want to start out with this place did have great beers on tap and server was nice, food was mediocre. But Wow!! I'm giving this place a 2 star review for this reason .... All I have to say about this adding 18% surcharge on your bill is outrageous! I feel so bad for the staff having to explain it and how their own tips are affected! Shame on the restaurant and not having a option to take off bill, like many river north restaurants do. Have to say won't be back till that changes!

This is a wonderful, low-key local place with solid pub food! It's hard to find a casual gathering space in the West Loop - but Haymarket is welcoming with a great little patio. We planned an event for our wedding there and Janna was so helpful, warm, and quick to respond. They have a great back room with pool tables, shuffleboard, and a small stage. I love the Mathias beer (but watch out, it's strong!) and the soft pretzels.

Great service, super friendly and welcoming staff! Food wise, the wing sauces were watered down and so was the ranch. Big mick burger was actually really good! I was expecting more smokey flavor in the food but it's more so in the air. Beer, the lazy hazy beer is not hazy! Lol. All the other beers we had had a similar taste...like ham. Great atmosphere and clean! Gave it another try yesterday and it's worse the second time. No wonder why everyone gets cans there. The beer lines probably have never been changed.
