I loved my experience here! Great pierogi in a good atmosphere. The restaurant is so cozy, decorated beautifully, and the staff is very welcoming. The drink selection is plentiful, my table ordered German beer, piรฑa coladas, and amaretto stone sours, all tasted amazing! Give them a try

Honestly one of the best authentic Polish restaurants in town. The food is amazing, and authentic , as a Polish native I can tell. They have many choices, yes pierogi too! The soups are flavourful! I can't say enough good things. The bartender was amazing, great job Angie. I'll keep coming back for sure!

The cappuccino. Nice topper after a good hardy meal. Talk about a unique glass cup.

Love me some good Polish food and been wanting to try this place for a while. Everything was excellent. Had the European Platter which was choice of Meatball in red or mushroom sauce, I chose mushroom sauce or Cabbage Roll. It also comes with cheese and potato pierogi, potato pancake, grilled sausage on top of a big portion of sauerkraut. The servers wear traditional polish dresses which is fun. We got there right at open time and it quickly became full with a wait time. Very friendly service as well. Definitely will be coming back to try other dishes.

Absolutely best food ever. We came from Houston for a family reunion, after 40 years without seeing each other. This restaurant was recommended to us by our family. We had the Best experience ever. Delicious food, great music and the kindest server Tomek! Such a kind young boy with big dreams. He served food and drinks to us, He made sure we were well taken care of. Thank you Tomek ๐Ÿ˜Š

Super cute polish restaurant. Very authentic. We were possibly the only non-polish speaking guests that night... but the servers spoke English so it was not an issue. There was a traditional band playing in the corner, a party going on in the side room. The atmosphere was great, very lively. It was crowded for a Sunday evening(we ended up sitting at the bar which was fine for us) but service was quick and food was amazing. From the bread and pickles to start, to the finishing shot of homemade lemon vodka, we will be back soon and often! Wish I had known about this place sooner but glad I do now!

Wonderful restaurant and bar. They serve authentic Polish dishes. The atmosphere makes you feel like you have been transported to Poland. The servers wear authentic Polish clothing and speak Polish as well. The service was fast and efficient. The food was absolutely amazing. I got the European plate- grilled kielbasa, perogies topped with bacon, saurkraut, and potato pancake. They offer chicken tenders and fries for kids. They have a lovely libations list. If you are looking for a genuine Polish dish... this is the place.

Wonderful place for real Polish food and drinks. Many families come for family events and parties. Most of the staff are from Poland. Food comes fast- suggest you have a drink and conversation first before ordering. You will love the pricing and sit back to enjoy a the atmosphere, food and drink.

The food was delicious. The pickel "soup of the day" was savory surprise. The warm apple cake was not too sweet and was lighter than expected. Enough for 3 to share. Our server, Natalia, was delightful. Pro tip: don't even try to park in front. There more parking in the back

This is about as authentic as you could get. Services good. The place is as clean as anyone would expect a Polish restaurant. Prices are reasonable. The menu is good. However, they really need to work on their desserts. Those were very disappointing. All in all, it's worth the trip. You feel as though you left the US and went to Poland.

My family and I have been here several times now. We drive 62 miles North just for this restaurant. No matter what we order, it is aways delicious. Very highly recommend Highlander. Bring your appetite!

A very typical Highlander restaurant in both atmosphere and decor. The service was quick and servers polite. Typical Polish food with Highlander accents. Rich menu. I ordered the grilled chicken breast with tomatoes and mozzarella. It was really delicious . The meat was moist and the vegetables were in a Chardonnay sauce. Kwasnica soup was also delicious. Affordable prices. A place I highly recommend.

Good Polish restaurant and bar in an unassuming strip mall with limited parking in the front and more parking in the back of the restaurant. Good service. The interior design and decor makes one feel like there were in a cabin in the mountains of southern Poland. Wooden cabin feel. Good drinks and good food. Had potato pancakes both baked and pan fried, the sheep cheese soup (not pictured), pierogies of all kinds (meat, cheese & potato, sweet cheese, etc), stuffed cabbage rolls, polish sausage dish, and the European plate (some of everything Polish). Would recommend and would go back for more!

We ate here last night and I highly recommend this restaurant. Everything was perfect!! Ambiance perfect! service-Perfect!! Food was absolutely fantastic. You literally feel as though you are sitting in a Polish restaurant and all the servers wear traditional clothing and I canโ€™t find words enough to express how top notch authentic the Polish food was!! If you eat here you will not be disappointed and you will want to go back! I came to Chicago 2 years ago from Massachusetts and this is by far my favorite restaurant since Iโ€™ve been here. I canโ€™t wait to go back. The lemon vodka was a wonderful way to end our meal ! There were 4 of us and everyone was so pleased!! Thank you ๐Ÿ™!!!

Delicious polish food. Very authentic home made flavors. Try the Polish Plate - it gives you a little of everything (goล‚ฤ…bki, kapusta, placek ziemniaczany, pierogi ruskie and kieล‚basa)

First time there. Service was friendly and quick. Nice atmosphere. Food was great. I had the stuffed cabbage (2) with mashed potatoes and horseradish beets. Wife had the mushroom/sauerkraut and potato/cheese pieorgis, and they were really good. The sauerkraut soup was good too - really big bowl. Parking up front is real tight, but there is also parking behind the building. We'll definitely be back.

10/10 recommend!!! I found this place just by Google search and my fiancรฉ, who is Polish, had never been here so we decided to try it. From when we walked in we just loved it. The atmosphere is wonderful, the staff is super friendly, and the food is AMAZING! We ordered the Placek po Zbรณjnicku and Polski Talerz, both were so delicious; the potato pancake was perfectly crispy and seasoned, pierogis were super fluffy and melt-in-your mouth delicious, and the beef goulash was packed with flavor!! I could go on but you will just need to try for yourself. Next time we visit the area we will definitely be back.

Excellent food. Best Polish restaurant I have ever been too. Cabbage rolls with mushroom gravy tasted homemade. Fast friendly service and the prices were decent.

The food was excellent. The cabbage rolls were just like my grandpa used to make. All in all, it was a good experience. If you want applesauce or sour cream to go with your pierogies or potato pancake, just know they are $1.50 each additional. It was kind of cold in there, and the music could have been a notch lower in volume but other than that, a really good experience.

Delicious authentic polish food. Reasonable prices and the staff is great. Would recommend if you are looking for a cozy experience or you just want to sit at the bar and enjoy $9 liters of beer :)

Very good menu. When we sat down we were given a tray with pickles and a spread for some bread. We tried the spread and it was pretty good. We asked the server what the spread was and she said lard. I had never had flavored lard and it was not bad, but I did not eat anymore. Was hard for me to get past it being lard even though it tasted pretty good. The server did offer butter if we preferred. I order the potato and cheese pierogi (I felt they were bland) and my friend had the dinner that had a sample of everything (potato pancakes, cabbage roll, sausage, pierogi) and she loved it. She thought it was delicious. We went here on the recommendation of a friend who said that people travel for miles to eat here. I was not familiar with polish food, would I eat here again? Probably. I would try something else, word is the breaded pork is excellent.

recommend the chefโ€™s tasting menu. Well worth it in value, portions, creativity, and uniqueness! Everything from the first to last dish was astonishing.

Its all about the details . The table is set with nice dishes and glassware . A nice bohemian vase with tiny live flowers . The decor is rustic charm with log walls and wood bench seats at the window booths . If you can't make one chose from the many entrees , try the European Player . Round out the meal with creme brulee , decadent flavor and presented like a work of art . The Zywiew beer on tap is charged with unending bubbles rising to the top of the glass . Its a lager that will spoil your taste buds . The servers are beautiful and hard working . They aim to please and you will leave happy .

Dined there this week The service was amazing The food was even better. Can't wait to return to try more choices off their extensive menu. We knew it is as going to be excellent with many diners in restaurant speaking Polish.
