Would have given no stars but that’s not an option. I was never greeted, the waitress was awful, the food was cold and burnt like a TV dinner recooked four times and then served after reaching room temperature. My bill was tossed on my table, and I waited 23 minutes (yes I was petty and used a timer) before I walked to the kitchen to get a box (my four year old made me take her leftovers home) this place USED to be amazing I don’t even know how it’s still open. Oh and do not go in for the special or order anything besides the basics because somehow they are out of everything. The hash brown casserole had onions like onion rings on it with the flaky skin which was horrible, I asked for crispy over cooked bacon and I swear it was very rare, my daughters pancakes had some apple cinnamon sauce that looked like it accidentally fell on it - overall horrible experience.

We came to Cracker Barrel to celebrate my birthday. We are very happy that we stopped. All of our food was cooked correctly, served nice and hot, and tasted excellent. We had such a nice waitress who made great suggestions of food choices, and I really loved the grilled chicken she selected. The restaurant is very family friendly atmosphere very clean. Lots of great items to choose from.

Was told a 40min wait. Ended up waiting more than an hour. I got the fried steak with the hash brown casserole. The meat tasted like unseasoned hamburger. The hash browns were great. I was given in my opinion a small portion. The pancakes were great! We got our food before we even got our drinks. They have Coke Zero! But I was so disappointed to pay $3.19 for a pop and not get it until 10 min after ordering it. Then only got one refill. Because our waitress being busy. She was doing the best she could. The gifts there were great! I feel the food has gone down hill. I used to be excited to go , now I am good if I don't go again. Honestly I would go shop at their store rather than eat there.

The food was good but service needs improvement. Our waiter was friendly; yet he was unable to remember our order and had to be reminded several different times. I have had better visits to Cracker Barrel in the past.

We made reservations online before we left home. Our wait time once we got there was only 5mins. The service was fast. The food was delicious. I had the Country Fried Steak. My wife had the Good Morning Breakfast.

If your not familiar with the area, you could easily get lost trying to find Cracker Barrel. Staff was very friendly, we always love to check out the store. They always have the most unique awesome stuff. Food was good, prices were decent. Took a bit for someone to come ask us for our drinks, but we understand that the world is short staffed. But other then that. It was a good meal.

I venture here often. Today our waitress was very slow to get our drinks, appetizer she forgot, then some of the sides were screwed up. Granted we did have a big order with sides. We ended up with some extras that we didn't order. Other waitresses had to find our waitress a few times. She was very nice and polite. Maybe she was new. I don't know. Visit often, but this time was during a shift change. Which means we waited about 10 minutes after being seated to even get water. I order a lot of food just for myself, but I forwarn the waiter or waitress. The service was SO SLOW... I almost walked out. I spent $109 and if the food wasn't so good, the rating would be lower. Kudos to the chef. He got the assignment right.

The food was delicious. The pancakes were really good but the biscuits were too dense for me. The bacon, eggs and cheesy hash browns were good too. The service was really bad. People who came in after us were served before we were. The server forgot to bring my husband's drink as well. That tainted the experience.

I go to CBs all over the country. Some claim they cannot get catfish due to supply chain issues. I can see this one from my hotel window, where I will be staying for the next 10 days. I don’t think I will go there again. Happily I was able to get catfish with breakfast. Sadly, my scrambled eggs were the worst I’ve ever had. They were as flat as a tortilla. I am also trying to eat fewer carbs. Would love to have the option of a salad with breakfast. Here’s a picture of fluffy eggs and salad I got at a restaurant in Denver. Wish CB offered a breakfast that looked like this.

My first experience since I was in early teens. I like how cute the shop is and how it makes you feel like you're back in time. The hostess was very friendly and checked on us often. Food was good and priced well! I will be back again!

Only reason why I give 2 stars was because my server was super sweet. Other than that the portion sizes are hella small. I paid $6 for some loaded fries and literally got like 5 fries. Anyways what really grossed me out is that the whole time I’m looking through the door to the back and this cook was on the phone and preparing food the whole time. Literally the whole time I was sitting there she had food in one hand and the phone in the other. No gloves by the way. There was also another cook with bob length dreads that kept wiping his nose with his hand again no gloves. I took majority of my food to go because I was just grossed out.

Great customer service from the door to the table. However, the food was a huge miss. The breakfast sausages were extremely overcooked. It was not edible, it was dark and hard. The bacon, eggs, hash browns and pancakes pretty much followed suit. The pancakes were very spongy and chewy. The hash browns taste like perfume had been sprayed over it. We expressed our concerns to our server and she was very polite about everything and offered to get us more food, but we were just ready for the check. Excellent customer service, but I wouldn’t give them another chance.

We went to the Tinley Park Cracker Barrel for breakfast. It was a busy morning. We waited 20 minutes for our table and another 20 minutes for our breakfast. Everything was pretty good but I thought the portion size were a little bit small. I gave the Cracker Barrel 4 stars. Because I thought it was a fair price for our meal and everything was pretty good.

Great service. The meal was outstanding delicious I had A feast for one I had chicken strips which was home fried I had grits with cheese biscuits eggs and I believe I had the hash brown casserole. Very delicious. Can I eat it all had to take some home. The bill was under $20. And do not forget to shop their little store before you leave.

The manager was super rude and horrible service! They wanted my family of 5 to sit in two separate tables and all my children are young and would have to sit 6 feet apart where I can even reach them if there was an emergency or accident or anything! Super bad attitude from manager and my family used to go here every Sunday before the pandemic and we will not go there ever again! Bad customer service and the way they treat and talk to you! Zero stars and would not recommend!!!!

Going downhill - I wrote this review after coming to this place multiple times within 4 months. You guys are very lack of consistency. Foods are sometimes good sometimes bad, drinks were being presented in several different ways. I am confused. From the pictures that I took you can see that my cold drink was in a cup and another time was put in different cup. When they were wrong giving me hot instead of cold, all they did was adding ice cubes! Ofcourse it wouldn’t taste right. Taste changes all the time too. As well as the steak and fried chicken, sometimes are seasoned well sometimes not. The last time we were there the fried chicken tasted horrible, you need to CHANGE THE OIL! Servers are trying their best but you can tell they are lacking experience or appears to be so. The only thing that made me didn’t put 2 stars cause some foods are still good, like pancakes and their maple bacon chicken are awesome. However I am not sure I would be back anymore, there are several places close by that offers similar food in Tinley. And pls tips your server people! Some people are petty and not tipping at all, keep your ethics and few dollars counts esp you been served by them. Idk if this location has management issue but pls fix it cause this place used to be my go to place for breakfast/brunch!

EVERYTHING WAS NASTY. Greens tasted like they came out of a 20 yr old can. I was very disappointed. I use to go to this restaurant all the time as a kids and the food was amazing. The quality of food is definitely different. The country fried steak is not the same.

Called ahead for a large group. Then, I even sent someone to the restaurant early to see about getting a table set up for 16 of us. They were not interested in working with us. We were ok with tables just being close to each other. Again, they were not interested in working with us. Ended up sitting at 3 tables scattered throughout the dining room. 1st table was already done eating before the last table ever got their food. THIS WAS 3PM, USUALLY A SLOW TIME. The restaurant was not busy. 1st time ran into this issue at a Cracker Barrel. We travel with a team and have been all over Midwest. We usually pick Cracker Barrel because they are accommodating. The manager at this location was the least helpful of any location we have been to, and we have been to many. If you have a larger group, spend your hard earned money somewhere else. This Cracker Barrel location does not want it.

Love the fried catfish. Each of 3 times I was on my way out, I saw something I liked and had to go back and purchase it. Of special note is the counter staff who are the most helpful and competent I have ever encountered spending several minutes getting me signed up with Success!

The store was clean and well kept. The food was as good as we have come to expect from Cracker Barrel. Our waitress was exceptionally friendly. It is also nice now that you can pay your bill on your phone from your table. Very convenient! The store location is also quite handy - just off (north) of I-80 and west of Harlem. Lots of hotels within walking distance.

When I say THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. They answer phone like and dont greet or anything. Hung up on me, got my entire order wrong. My husband ask for a refund after they wouldnt assist and declined. The the GM finally did but was very rude. She told me I was talking like I was off the street but she was talking over me the entire time not letting me talk and explain the horrible service. then talking about her son black also. Im black that doesnt have nothing to do with anything. I didnt know GM have horrible customer service. They didnt want to let us in to correct the matter. They were trying to say we were trying to rob the store. Horrible. We just spent 95.00 and the whole order was wrong. Ive never experienced this in my life. Will be contacting corporate office!

Cracker Barrel has a menu that has breakfast and comfort food . The floor plan is designed to make everyone pass through the general store . It's crowded at the host desk . People cluster around blocking the entrance to the dinning area . Even the cashier area is crowded with no one knowing who's turn it is to pay. When the fire place is burning it's a nice effect .There is lots of seating but wait time is always required . It's been years since I was there last . Just want New Year Day 2022 . The mimosas are something different . A glob of gooey flavoring at the bottom of a glass . You pour the sparking wine from a tiny bottle . The menu has something to suit most people . Biscuits and fried apples are my favorite .

28 years ago my husband and I started going to your restaurant and enjoying your meatloaf. Who's the genius who changed the recipe? It used to have a mixture of brown sugar and ketchup on the top and it was brown instead of tan. Shame on whomever gave the okay to change your famous meatloaf.

It was dinner for 4. We showed up around 5pm was told about 25 minute wait, it was okay. They only have maybe 10 tables outside. 25 minutes turned into a 40 minute wait. The people that want to wait and not go back to their cars sit in rocking chairs like staring at ya. Food left something to be desired, the gravy was like gloppy such a turnoff. Had to order 3 different desserts. I'd give it 5 stars if it was just based off our waitress Dee. SHE was awesome! Such a positive attitude so talkative!

Firstly what can I say; the store portion of it was so cute it makes me want to drag my family there my grandmother llooooovvvvvveeeeesssss Christmas n the decorations are so cutesy and amazing, toys to get your young ones especially if your going to different states traveling (when I was a kid I got em on my way in Wisconsin for the long car rides and food), candles for the seasons to brighten up your rooms and the aromas are just 😍, there's a island of candy n treat goodness, plushies for fellow collectors of the ty beanies, it was busy bit all the stuff distracts you anyways while you wait for your turn to be seated, the staff was wonderful patient timely so helpful the food was amazing and perfect and the bacon was cooked to that good between area of crisp with a bit of chewiness. The stuffed pancakes stuffed me up. I'll gladly come back again and again with friends n family 👪 been looking for a good place n found it. What a wonderful atmosphere 👏

I’ve come here many times before and I believe everyone is trying their best. I love the pancakes flavor! I so want to express my disappointment in my food! my sausage, bacon, and ham were hard and dry. My pancakes cold. Hash browns needed to be cooked more. I don’t mind waiting for quality food I’d rather have fresh quality than fast service. Service was great very attentive.

The worst pickup service you will ever encounter. I ordered the food at 10:20 over the phone got to restaurant around 10:35 & was still waiting on a pickup order at 11:50 … you might as well run to the grocery store and cook if you have to wait that long. Then by time we get all the food , half of it is ICE cold because of course half of it was cooked and sat out to get cold while they prepared the other food lol. This Cracker Barrel location is plummeting. Won’t be here much longer or will be the lowest rated location in the area… Just drive to Indiana tax is cheaper & their service is better.

We waited around an hour to be seated, and a very long time to get our food. Other tables were complaining, asking where is their order. My bf asked for the manager regarding an issue with a dish. The first mgr that came, a male, all he did was argue back & forth. Fortunately, a much more helpful and professional manager named Tracy showed up and fixed the situation, she was truly great. Our waiter, Jamie, was so sweet & attentive. I thought the pancakes were exceptionally delicious- I ordered Momma's Breakfast. They had a deal going on where for every entree you order, you can take home a $6 meal of three choices, so we took home two and those were yummy. We browsed the gift shop while waiting for our table, my bf bought a skillet, which I already made the best grilled cheese I've ever eaten on it! I bought a couple things as well. It was really annoying however, the pay line for the gift shop and to pay your dining bill are one in the same- I'm sure many would agree that two separate lines would be better. It's also very crowded up by where you pay. The food was pretty good, but judging by the overall experience, I don't care if I ever go back here ever again!!

Not like it used to be. Hostess wore mask with nose not covered. Waitress seemed like she didn't want to be there. Service was slow. Silverware was filthy. Had to ask for S/P and when it was brought out the shakers were sticky. Isn't the whole point in pulling them off the table during COVID to keep them clean? 🤢

I had curbside pickup which they never brought to my car. I had to go inside to get it and it had been sitting there for 15 minutes so now it was cold. They destroyed my sirloin steak. It was well done not medium and taste like pure salt and it was tough. The grits, hashbrown casserole, gravy and biscuits were delicious.

Decided to go on Thanksgiving Day around 1pm. It was crowded. 45 minute wait for a table but hostess was friendly & gave updates when asked. Server was great & we had no issues for our party of 8. Menu is limited on Thanksgiving Day but they do serve a traditional meal. I noticed the pick up line outside was well organized also. Only downside was the food wasn't as tasty as some of the other locations I've been to.

The chicken is DELICIOUS! The wait time to be seated, to take your order, to get your food and even to get the check is super slow. The waiter was nice, pleasant and friendly but it seemed like every time she'd come to our table she was in a hurry. We wanted coffee and some sweets but she did not offer. We really did enjoy the chicken though.

This is where we ended up after my cousin's funeral. There were eight of us. We all had different orders. The food was so good! I had the Country boy breakfast. Three eggs, grits, ham slab, biscuit and gravy, hashbrowns casserole and cinnamon apples. To drink, raspberry lemonade. Fantastic, I tell you. I got to taste some of my cousin Patty's pancakes. Absolutely delicious. I almost wished I had ordered them. Another hff ad the catfish and it looked devine.

We got there at 9:30pm when they close at 10pm. They were very gracious and we were genuinely welcomed. We weren't the last ones seated. The food was great! Didn't taste old. Cooked fresh! Update: Since COVID we have been ordering through the app. We are long time fans that started doing at CB when we lived in Vegas where the are no CBs. When we road tripped we made sure we got as many CBs as we could. The closed CB was in Kingman, AZ. My wife LOVED the Broccoli Cheddar Chicken. So on Feb 3, 2021 I ordered a BCC and a Sunday Country Chicken Dinner to go. She gets about 4 meals out of the 2 dinners. The Sunday CCD was great! Today, Friday the 5th, she dug into the BCC. What we found really disappointed us. We are true blue fans of CB but we will not order the BCC any longer because we got this tiny little piece of chicken with a pile of broccoli and sauce. Wifey cuts up the meal and puts it on a plate so she can eat her meal while watching TV. She dug through the meal to find the chicken and almost missed it. The photos I enclosed(with a quarter for perspective) indicates the miniscule piece of chicken and the pile of the other stuff. We are still costumers but she won't order the BCC again as this has happened before. I don't understand why the BCC became so problem prone. Everything else has been great.

What we thought would be a nice family Valentine’s breakfast, was not. First, when we got there it was a 25 min wait, which okay..due to Covid there are restrictions on how many tables can be seated but then there’s 50 people standing in the small gift shop area waiting to be seated, so there’s really no difference. While waiting, the manager went to take something off the shelf where they store their to-go orders and all the shelves collapsed. This startled most of the waiting customers in that area. Instead of helping clean up, she barked orders at another employee to pick everything up and she walked away from the mess, leaving another associate to clean everything up even though it wasn’t even her fault. When we were finally sat, the waitress came and greeted us but they had menus out with item listed that weren’t even available to order. We all ordered our meals and waited 45 min for pancakes, eggs and a hash brown casserole. I could see if there were more of us at our table but there was only 3. Not once did our waitress ask if we needed more drinks or apologized for the long wait time. The food was not great. Nothing had flavor except for the pancakes that my daughter ordered but we were so hungry we ate anyways. As we were finishing a girl at another table accidentally broke a glass on the floor. NOT ONE EMPLOYEE WALKED OVER TO HELP THEM. A bus boy who was cleaning off a table looked over there and stared for a minute then went back to wiping off the table, two waitresses standing close by both looked and did NOTHING as the girls significant other started picking up glass off the floor with his bare hands and finally when the waiter, his name was Darrin on his apron, noticed it as he was coming out of the kitchen, immediately grabbed a broom to help. He is the only positive thing about this review. If my family and I ever decide to eat food from there again we will be getting take out. I would never recommend this restaurant to any family or friends and they should bring someone in to train the employees to learn about customer service and what ultimately makes people come back to a restaurant.

I've been going to Cracker Barrel for the last 40 something years and have never had this bad of service. I placed my order and the waitress didn't write it down, she didn't even have her order pad with her. She forget and left the coffee pot at the table (as if she knew what was about to happen). After about 30 minutes she stopped by my table and said she was sorry for the delay but there was a large order ahead of mine (and she picked up the coffee pot). About 20 minutes later I got my food, but they forgot to bring me any utensils. It took me another 5 or ten minutes to get someone to bring me a fork so I could start eating. By then my food was barely warm. So all together it was over a hour between the time I ordered my food and the time I was able to eat it.
