This park is great during the middle of the day. My Wife and I were in Chicago on January 22-23, 2022 and although it was cold, in direct sunlight it was decently pleasant to walk along the park, with the water on one side and the downtown skyline on the other. As you walk from the Museum Campus to the Millennium and Grant Park areas, there is a lot of green space and plenty of nice places to stop and rest or just take in the view.

Went for the Switch On Summer event and everything was spectacular, from the booths doing giveaways, the bands, the atmosphere was great. It made Chicago feel like a community.

Grant Park, the “Front Yard” of Chicago is located in the main business district in downtown Chicago. This is Chicago’s centerpiece like Central Park of New York. Grant Park is not just the park or one attraction. This is the combination of many landmarks and attractions. This includes the Buckingham Fountain, The Art Institute of Chicago, the Museum of Natural History, Aquarium and planetarium with great lakefront views and skyscrapers of Chicago. There are many parking garages under the park. 300 acres of green space in such a busy downtown area is really incredible and you will never get disappointed, even if you are new as a tourist or a local resident. Millennium Park which is a park within a Grant Park is a modern take on traditional town square for outdoor concerts. The iconic Cloud Gate in the Millennium Park is also a major milestone of Grant Park. We were dropped at Buckingham Fountain and picked up from the same point by our host. I believe the parking and traffic is a problem to visit this place. Parking charges are rip offs and your pleasure of visiting something good fades away after paying high parking charges.

Very calm and languid place, especially at dusk or dawn. It was so very calming, that I couldn’t believe that I had spent 2 hours just looking at the surrounding Chicago skyline, the fountain and the lakeshore which is literally like maybe a 100 steps from the fountain. It was a stupendous place, that I would recommend everybody who live near Chicago visit.

One of the largest science museums in the country. The submarine 505 was amazing. They have tons of cool stuff and parking is very easy. Just park in the park and get the app to pay for parking. This was a very fun park and we had a very good food there. Planning on spending 6 hours

If I could come back to Chicago every year, I would. This is the very first place I remember from my first visit and I will always cherish it. The Grant Park (and generally the whole area) is perfect for stroll or a run. Or for sitting down and observing people. You have the lake and the marina on one side, and the one of a kind skyline of Chicago on the other side. You are simply surrounded by Chicago's most iconic places.

For my first time in Chicago this was a great central space for me. Traveled here for work and Grant Park was also such a pleasure to walk in, around and out of! Lots of great food near by as well as easy travel and amenities near by such as public transit access. I recommend taking your time here, very clean and beautiful. Will definitely return.

I have been here a couple of times. This last time was extra special to me because here was the Chicago Marathon. The organization of the whole event was terrific. The access to park was very secure for all the runners involved. The previous day of the event we walked around the park and was super clean, a lot of families were enjoying the weather. It is a very nice place to go while visiting Chicago and a terrific place to run.

Grab a coffee and a friend and take a morning stroll together through this beautiful green space. Open air sculptures, bike paths, and fountains make for great viewing. This park sits between Museum Campus and Buckingham Fountain which make it very convenient for a lot of sightseeing on foot or bicycle.

I know Grant Park is a large area on Chicago's lake front, so I wasn't sure if I was actually visiting this area, but I visited the Buckingham Fountain and I just looked it up and that's in the center of Grant Park! It was a great Chicago landmark! I didn't totally experience the full park, but it definitely has beautiful landscape, green space, walkways and a great view of lake Michigan! I also remember that Grant Park was totally packed with an estimate of 240,000 people on the night that president-elect Barack Obama won the 2008 election! We were able to go a lot of great places in Chicago, this time around and I know we experienced Millennium Park and the two landmarks. When we get back we hope to experience more at Grant Park!

So fun. We only went to the playground areas for kids. It was so impressive and we will be back again to play! Thanks Chicago for a great trip and giving the kids a place to expend their energy! Easy enough parking with good rates. Enough seating for the parents as well.

First, let me thank Bubba Wallace, 23XI Racing, and the Jackman Jordan Paige for the invite! Lightning and heavy rain invaded NASCAR's first-ever street race in downtown Chicago. I'm not sure why NASCAR weren’t allowing fans to bring in umbrellas when the rain was so heavy. Once the race got underway, it was an adrenaline-fueled spectacle that had fans on the edge of their seats, as the drivers did their best handling the wet Chicago streets. The race delivered a thrilling display of speed, skill, and strategy. The drivers' skills were on full display, proving once again why NASCAR captivates millions of fans worldwide.

I had an incredible time riding my bicycle through Grant Park. It's been such a long time since I've had an opportunity to do something such as this. Grant Park has evolved into a beautiful setting and I truly appreciate what the city has done with preservation of the land as well as refurbishment of trees that were once meant to be chopped down. Chicago is a beautiful city! Grant Park epitomizes its beauty.

Some of the best panoramic views of The Windy City can be seen from here in Grant Park, including the vast Chicago skyline. This has always been one of my favorite places to unwind, and I find the park and its surroundings to be quite relaxing. Even now, the park is usually pretty clean, free of trash, and relatively well-maintained. The city clearly takes pride in this park, and its efforts towards maintaining daily upkeep of it pretty much prove that fact. So if you're ever in Chicago, this is definitely a must-see tourist attraction.

Super nice little walkway and park area by Lake Michigan. Plenty of room for walkers, bikers, and runners. Leads all the way to the Field Museum and Buckingham Fountain. Great view of the Chicago skyline and very relaxing.

From Buckingham fountain, trees, rose garden, art, open space, to shady picnic areas, and the lake, it has something for everyone. Paths all over the park for walking and biking. The quietest part of the park is the southern half. The park has Millennium Park within it as well as the Art Institute and Museum Park. The north trail will take you to Navy Pier and beaches and the south trail takes you to museums and more parks and beaches. Enjoy!

During the summer in the evening, walking along the park is priceless especially with a good company. Bicycles are available, a lot of restaurants, coffee shops, bars, walgreens… are close by as it is right on Michigan lake. Jogging or just chilling there is popular as well. The park makes the city of Chicago more Gorgeous.

Grant park is nice place to walk, there are several fountains, lots of trees and lots of paths to walk, ever since I came to Chicago I walk in this park every day. Almost all major events, concerts and parades in Chicago are held in this park. On July 1-2, there will also be a NASCAR street race, one part of which will go around Grant Park

Disappointing because they said the Buckingham fountain its have a light and music water show every hrs for 20mins and we expend hour in half and nothing happened but the lights and fountain are beautiful they should have more light around the plaza bcuz it's to dark.. I hope u upgrade the info online please that way peoples dont have high expectations. Please and thank you! Even we took good nice pictures and enjoy the changes color.

Grant Park, nestled in the heart of the city, is a mesmerizing urban oasis that effortlessly combines natural beauty with captivating attractions. During my recent visit, I was truly enchanted by the park's serene ambiance and the plethora of activities it offered. First and foremost, the park's lush greenery and expansive open spaces provided a welcome respite from the bustling city. It was a delight to stroll along the well-maintained paths, breathing in the fresh air and enjoying the tranquil surroundings. The meticulously manicured gardens, adorned with vibrant flowers and aromatic herbs, added a touch of elegance to the park's aesthetics. Grant Park is not only visually stunning but also home to remarkable attractions. The crown jewel of the park, the famous Buckingham Fountain, stood tall and majestic, captivating visitors with its mesmerizing water displays. The Art Institute of Chicago, situated within the park, is a haven for art enthusiasts, housing an extensive collection of masterpieces that left me in awe. Furthermore, the park offers an array of recreational activities to suit every taste. Families can enjoy picnics on the grassy lawns, while fitness enthusiasts can take advantage of the well-equipped jogging trails. The scenic views of Lake Michigan from the park's vantage points are simply breathtaking, providing a perfect backdrop for a leisurely bike ride or a peaceful moment of reflection. My only slight disappointment was the lack of more dining options within the park itself. While there are a few food stalls and vendors, I would have loved to see more diverse choices to cater to different palates. Overall, Grant Park is a true gem that enriches the urban landscape of the city. Its harmonious blend of natural beauty, iconic landmarks, and recreational offerings make it an ideal destination for locals and tourists alike. A visit to Grant Park is an experience that will leave you refreshed, inspired, and yearning for more of its enchanting allure.

I took a long bike ride around the other day and it was really enjoyable. This park has the fountain that was featured in the opening credits of Married with Children. At this time of the year, the fountain was empty, but it was still beautiful to see. The park is open and spacious. The people watching is phenomenal. I always feel safe when I visit. another great spot with playground for kid and more.

Grant park and the Art Institute was my home after school at Central YMCA high school in the late 1960s. "Rapped", exchanged ideas, played guitar and realized the juxtaposition of nature and humanity gazing at foliage and then at the skyscrapers. I feel fortunate being born a Chicagoan because of the intense population and diversity of culture that I was exposed to. I am here on my 50 year pilgrimage from Florida and will always remember my formative years here.
